As a bigger trans girl it can be really hard to vibe with "fat trans positivity" sometimes when it feels like so many popular trans narratives, memes and what have you revolve around thin white women. That one tweet that describes the archetypal trans woman as a "lanky girl with a bit of a jaw" is regularly shared almost uncritically, as if to say "yeah, that's right, that's what we all look like!"

I wish there was more than lip service paid to trans women who don't fit the mold, who aren't tall and skinny, who aren't white, etc. These women deserve your love too.
