"Sensation without full perception, then. Perhaps we should visit the shaman in Rio and see if they feel similarly.” He shrugged, “Why concern with witches, though? I thought you would be more inclined to werewolves, given your history. I told you you needn’t be concerned about your safety around these witches. I’m all but allied with them.” ‘All but’...and getting worse, what with Kaja’s swift escape and that dreadful day, but that was something that he kept to himself.
"Not well." Arcing little bolts between fingers isn’t a neat party trick — especially when on accident. “I’m guessing the only reason I can tell with you, is because I’ve been around you long enough. The association’s made, and I’ve had time to ‘digest’ your influence, take the time to read it. At first glance of a stranger, it’s little more than just background noise.”

MFA Cat Knows That Feel
We all know that writing can be hard work: our long, seemingly unproductive hours punctuated by the occasional discouraged nap. And, while perhaps the most enjoyable part of writing is the thrill of completing a piece you’ve toiled on for (weeks? months? years?), that feeling vanishes the second it’s time to…dun dun dun…turn the thing in.
Rest-assured all ye neurotic writer types, because MFA cat knows exactly how you feel. She regrets her story so much, she can’t even bear the sight of it. Look how it mocks her from the printer’s tray! This story is unspeakably trite. What possessed her to write it, let alone share it with her vastly more talented and erudite peers?!
She’ll just have to sit this workshop out.
(Of course, when viewed in reverse, this .gif presents an equally thought-provoking depiction of a cat who urgently needs to send a fax.)
