Our Coffers Have Been Infiltrated

So I listened to one of the town criers, and he alerted me of a most troubling predicament!

The man who so recently did the Dark One's Sigil, now has put his own men in place within the kingdom's treasury! He is now able to control the rations each person gets, how much money they are paid for their services, and so much more!

But when the crier spoke of this, half the crowd grew angry with him! Saying that he is making something out of nothing and how this man truly cares for the people!

I'm sorry, but this man that now controls the treasury, is the same one that would push you to the ground and walk upon your throats to avoid wetting his shoes.

A moon ago, the King told all sky wizards to quit and leave their towers. Now today, we have multiple dragon rider incidents and the king blames the old ruler? He blames the selective choosing process of wizards? As if he himself did not send out the message for them to quit their occupations?

So the king’s new advisor, dare I say puppet master, was seen wearing the old Dark One’s sigil while speaking to a crowd. But some of the townsfolk claim it was not the Dark One’s sigil, but rather a display of affection and strength…

Doth thou take me for a sponge? For I know what the Dark One’s sigil is and it is the one he wore on his arm. My grandparents fought in the Battle of the Double Sun, AGAINST the Dark One’s forces, yet you say even if it was his sigil it’s not an issue!! For if it is not an issue, then you wear such a sigil, and you won’t mind if I raise my Dark One Ending sword.

Make it make sense

The town seer and prophet warn about bad harvests if we continue to offend the gods. Yet you all continue to chop her trees and pillage her lands. The town seer and prophet warn about bad water, yet you all continue to wash your latrines in drinking water. The town seer and prophet foretells terrible fires, yet you all continue to leave your campfires roaring.

But when these events come to pass you shout witch and blame the seers and prophets??

So 2 moons ago the king said he was cutting rations by half and we all began gathering pitchforks.

But on this day he announces that he is doubling rations and you all cheer and bend the knee to him? Is he not the one that took the rations in the first place?

And while on this subject the people are the ones growing the rations! I see not the king doubled over sowing the ground. I see not dirt crusted under the king’s nails? Ney, what I do see is a king with a full belly, clean hands, and a golden latrine in which he defecates.

So let me get this straight, you look down on me, but your oath is one of the crown? I’m out here adventuring, slaying beasts, fighting battles, but you do what? Guard a bridge from members of your own kingdom? From citizens? Yet you say “oath breaker” with disgust on your tongue.
