I went to bed early the night of the election and the next morning I got up pretty early to finish a movie. I decided to not look at the results until after. There was a nice early morning calm in the quiet and not knowing anything yet. Then I did look and wasn’t exactly surprised but I’m so tired of this guy. I wish he could just go back to doing a show I never watched and I never thought of his existence.
#the movie was orgy of the dead#so those moments of peace where women shaking their tits around in a cemetery setting

I put out some of my books in the building and someone used Breakfast of Champions to hold the door open. Sorry Kurt Vonnegut!

Starting my many projects in unemployment. I wanted to cover the breaker box for years (unfortunately why the piece is uncentered). It’s the first thing you seen when you open the door. This is above my puzzle table. I got the piece in upstate NY on a work trip.

I was laid off today. It was a big emotional thing. Lots of crying and hugs. It’s for the best. The place was destroying my mental health. To new beginnings 💫

As the weather cools he’s been sleeping on me more often. He demanded to come into my room last night and slept on me for a few hours. It’s a real joy.

“Everybody has experienced the defeat of their lives. Nobody has a life that worked out the way they wanted it to work out. We all begin as the hero of our own dramas, in centre stage, and inevitably life moves us out of centre stage, defeats the hero, overturns the plot and the strategy and we’re left on the sidelines, wondering why we no longer have a part, or want a part, in the whole damn thing. So everybody’s experienced this. When it’s presented to us sweetly, the feeling goes from heart to heart and we feel less isolated and we feel part of the great human chain, which is really involved with the recognition of defeat.”
— Leonard Cohen on why people enjoy listening to melancholy songs. From a BBC radio interview in 2007. (via elviskeepsmypictureinhiswallet)

Some freak hacked my Insta (that I hardly look at) and deleted all of my photos. Stuff from 2016 when I first moved and don’t have backed up all gone. I’m not devastated but I had trouble getting the pics off the app in the first place. Guess it’s time to delete and remake. But wtf, even if it’s a shitty bot why delete everything?
