az-the-dragon:
“Ten years, huh? That must mean you’re really good at what you do,” she returned with an impressed grin. Az could tell that the other dragon was older than her, but not nearly as old as the others she’s met in Hollywood. So ten years dedicated to one career was still impressive, she herself was too occupied with adrenaline chasing and wanderlust to ever really settle on one thing when it came to a career. “More than happy to be exploited by a pretty dragon, you have my consent to do as you please,” she answered without hesitation, a playfully seductive lilt to her words as she moved to the railing. It was hardly the first time the young dragon was in front of a camera, but she was by no means a model. Still, an abundance of confidence usually made up for most things, so she was happy to strike a few poses, even if her mind was elsewhere. It didn’t take long for a mischievous thought to come to her, and she turned to face Vaimiss, leaning back against the railing. Meeting the redhead’s eyes from behind the camera, Az reached up to unbutton the first few buttons of her oversized shirt, baring enough to tease but not enough to satisfy. “How’s this?” she asked, her tone almost innocent even if the look in her big eyes certainly wasn’t.
“Suppose I am.” she shrugged a bit, though she smiled back. Her photography within the fashion industry was constantly challenged as brands wanted to think more creatively and you were paired with make up artists and models with their own point of view. It was an exciting process to be a part of. Vai could not help the devilish tint to her grin as those words rolled off the others tongue. “Forgive me if I do take full advantage of that.” she said, not joking in the least as she was even more tempted to follow her instincts and desire to have Azhaltor model naked for her. While she was certainly confident, it was easy to tell there was no real modeling experience to draw on. Yet Vai used what she could to her advantage. The lighting, getting in close with her lens, giving small directions now and then in a light tone. She had just lowered her camera to consider if they’d done enough outdoor stuff for her to suggest going inside, when Az caught her gaze and dropped more than one button on her shirt. Damn. Seeing it made Vaimiss slowly lick her bottom lip. “Not nearly enough, but I’ll take it.” the redhead answered truthfully, snapping a few more photos before she found it hard to concentrate. “How about we go somewhere more private? I have a studio not far from here.” she suggested, dropping the camera and moving much closer to Az. “The camera would love you even more without those pesky clothes on.” she murmured once close enough for their breath to mingle.

“Oh you would be surprised at the stupidity I have come across” she laughed softly “But no you’re right, at least wolves would scurry away” she added. Humans on the other hand were far more dim. “Oh you know me, Vai….I’m all about being a mother when it comes down to it. I just love my hatchlings so damn much” she chuckled, playfully pinching the others cheek. “You’re like my father, you both have that same free spirit, though he only became serious and guided when he had me to worry about and stop falling off cliffs” She hummed. “Mm, now I do love a good steak, its one of the only good things that mammals have achieved.” she hummed, getting up from her spot and picking up her jacket “Usual place?”
“I am sure I would.” Vai agreed with a small grin. Her mom had lived far longer in the world during times when dragon kind had struggled and been taken advantage of. Much longer than she herself ever had. “If they have half a brain yeah.” she nodded. Of course not every creature on this earth were clever enough to stay out of a dragons way. “You’re a wonderful mother. I wouldn’t trade the life or love you’ve given me for anything.” she said, her tone deeply affectionate. Though the cheek pinch made her playfully roll her eyes in response. “We do. Makes us live life to the fullest and probably not grow up any faster than we have to.” she shrugged a little with a wry smile. “Me too. Yes I’d say certain foods are their one decent achievement.” she too got to her feet, putting on her jacket. “Sounds great to me.”

magnus-dragon:
Magnus had never known how to settle himself down and yet moments that he spent with Vaimiss made him wonder if he could with her. “Mm, thats true….” He mused, giving a smile at the soft smile that she gave him- he knew that it was something that she didn’t just give to anyone and it warmed him throughout. The dragon gave into the kiss completely, moving to lightly grip her hips so that she was pulled plush against him with a little growl of need. It was hard to resist her at all.
His answering smile made hers skip a beat, no matter how hard she tried not to go there it was hard to resist. Vaimiss knew better than to put too much hope or expectations on any relationship with any dragon. Since settling in the city she had met more of them than she thought was possible. And yet males were in short supply. It would be easy to throw her eggs in Magnus’s basket. He was a great guy and she didn’t doubt they could really be something if they wanted to. But she also knew she wasn’t the only one he spent this kind of time with. Which meant wanting to open her heart was something she held back on. Things could turn complicated so fast and she didn’t want to loose the easiness of them in pursuit of getting serious. Making a sound in between a giggle and a sigh, she lost herself to the feeling of him being everywhere, the warmth of his body pressing against hers, the intoxicating taste of his lips. All had her veins burning with desire. The rest of the gym simply faded away, as if it hadn’t been there to begin with.

“I’m glad that you have confirmed the look that I was going for, dapper is always a trait I want used to describe me. I should have tied back my hair to add to the look shouldn’t I?” He hummed, his eyes that bit brighter as he spoke with the dragon. “How do you feel about clothes, I had thought most dragons were against them?” He wondered, curious if she was different from others that he’d come across in his time. The man nodded “Being in their home truly puts you under a microscope. Though you don’t strike me as the type to actively find yourself in trouble?” He offered with a small smirk.
“Happy to help. Fashion is kind of what I do. Gotta have an eye for it. Yes, that would have tied it all together even better. Not that having it loose isn’t a nice look for you too.” She mused a bit, loving the direction this conversation had taken. “I’m a fashion photographer. So while I’ve been brought up to think of my human form as a lesser one and know my parents both don’t care much for clothes, I kind of love it. Clothes can be just as artistic as a good piece of music or a painting. I strive to capture that every time I’m behind the camera.” She explained. It was nice that he would ask. Her nose wrinkled just a little in silent agreement, knowing that was half the reason they were summoned like this. To be studied. “I’m not really, though being free spirited and curious does sometime land you in unexpected trouble.” she playfully rolled her eyes. “You don’t seem like the type either.”

“Well, many hear my surname and immediately shit themselves” The vampire snickered, but he was known for at least being able to get what he wanted from others when he wanted to do so. “In my opinion, I’m very hot and you’re hot, we should at least kick back at this party and get to know each other better” The vampire shrugged “We can discuss exactly what we want to do over said drink” He hummed, heading in the direction of the bar and looking back to make sure that she was following him.
“Clearly lacking a decent sense of self respect. Though I bet none of them are dragons.” Vaimiss replied with a small chuckle. She found it amusing but also odd sometimes that others feared so easily. While she might demonstrate a healthy show of respect for the Charbonneau’s and rarely went into an interaction wanting to get at odds with any old vampire, she didn’t fear them. Hos words made her grin. Some might find his ego to be a turn off, but she thought it was a bit refreshing. “We should.” she agreed. Not one to walk behind, she caught up with him, matching pace. “The way you say that makes me think you have a few ideas.”

Vaimiss couldn’t help but arch an eyebrow as her drink was taken out of her hand and sniffed, as if she’d spiked the one she’d offered with something poisonous. It was not that she really cared which one she got, but it was hard to ignore the others clear mistrust. “You really think I’d poison you?” she couldn’t help but ask, though there was genuine mirth in her words. Poison was the cowards way, the simple fact that she’d been raised by two rather prideful dragons assured that in the even she should want to rid the world of someone, it was the very last route she’d take. Besides, since her mom worked and ran a law firm and her dad worked with her as well, Vai was pretty sure she’d have some great help in getting rid of a body. All purely hypothetical though. She couldn’t imagine being that desperate or come to the conclusion that someone else needed to die. There were simply better ways to deal. “I guess not. Does make me wonder where the mistrust comes from though. Not that you’d have to tell me.” she shrugged a little before smiling. “I’m Vaimiss.”
vaimissthedragon:
“Do you like margarita? Cause I accidentally ordered two.. this one is yours if you want it.” Vaimiss told the blonde next to her at the bar, holding out the extra glass with a hopeful smile on her lips. She had told the bartender one drink, but apparently he’d heard otherwise. Which happened sometimes, it was not the biggest deal. If anything she might be able to strike up a conversation with a lovely stranger over a drink. Now that would be a win for sure.

Lucille was suspicious by nature - you had to be, as a spy, working for the Charbonneaus - so when a stranger offered her a drink, she glanced down at it and considered. After a moment’s hesitation, she took the other glass from the dragon, the one she had intended for herself and not the one she had offered Lucille. Watching the girl’s reaction, she held the glass up to her nose and sniffed at it. “Alright. I suppose I shouldn’t turn down a free drink.” She looked at the other woman more closely now, realizing that she was a dragon. Lucille had always liked dragons, and the Charbonneaus were experts at reeling in dragons for the society, so she managed to relax a bit more, knowing that this one was likely a member as well. “You can never be too careful,” she shrugged, before taking a sip of the drink. “I’m Lucille.”

The vampire only laughed when the red head gave him splashes in return, wiping his face an shaking his head “Fairplay, little dragon” He hummed, knowing full well just who she was. That red hair was unmatched to one who’d refused him before. “I admire those that wanna challenge me he added, flicking some water her way “I’d say that tenancity has earned you a drink?” he offered “Because I’m getting one anyway”
Vaimiss wiggled her eyebrows playfully at the vampire. She’d seen him around but couldn’t recall a time they’d actually spoken. “You get what you give.” she quipped with her smirk still in place. From what she had heard, this one got around. Much like his sister. The Vallas siblings were notoriously known for it in fact. “You say that like not many have the guts to?” she half assumed, half asked, wiping some water from her forehead and running her hands trough her wet red hair. “Yeah? I wouldn’t mind one.” Wringing a bit of water out of her hair, she nodded towards the bar. “Lets go then.”

“That is true, it’s almost like I wanted to try and tempt myself for a pool dip…” He hummed, the vampire iving one of his more charming smiles. “I am not a fan of showing off my arms, I like the mystery of a suit, the way it so crisply forms a shape” He explained, holding out his arms and gesturing to the cut of the suit. “I am merely showing my face here, I can’t really say this is at all a party for me. Society rules hey?” He mused, knowing that their attendance was expected rather than optional. “What about you? Did you come along willingly or not?”
Vaimiss couldn’t help but chuckle at his words, finding them both witty and amusing. “Exactly, tempting fate.” she agreed with a wry smile, her expression curious as he opted to explain the suit. “Thats understandable, and you do have a point it gives you a bit of mystery. It also makes sure you look very dapper, which has to be a plus.” One should never have to dress in a way that created more than a little discomfort. She was a big believer in feeling comfortable in your own skin, and that was often reinforced with clothing. “Ah, well in that case it makes a whole lot more sense. Besides, I think one should always dress in what feels the best. Society rules indeed.” Saying no wasn’t an option really. “I’m not the kind of girl to turn down a party. Though it does always come with some uneasiness, being here in their home.”

If you didn’t care to try at all you could have gone with plain suit pants, but you didn’t.” she injected calmly, thinking that he might be selling himself a little short. Then again it might just be how he was. Noticing he was sitting up, she smiled a little, not minding the conversation. After all, being here was in more ways than one about making connections with fellow members and she always thought it was an added bonus to get to know different individuals of different species. “You could just take the jacket off?” she couldn’t help but prompt, before nodding. “I am. These events are always more about what you allow them to be than what you bring to the table.”

magnus-dragon:
Magnus greatly admired Vaimiss as an individual and he almost wished there was more of him to share with others. But it was always the problem with dragons. They were in woefully short supply. It was why he made the most with each dragon that he came across- he was happy to date whoever needed the attention and affection. “You can always have both, you know that” He reassured, pulling the little red head closer to him for a moment. “I don’t need all that much, just a jacket perhaps…” He hummed, giving her a slow kiss in return- one to tell her that she’d been missed.
Vai knew very well they were just having fun and taking advantage of what the other was willing to offer. After spending most of her teens and adult years alone, she was well versed in casual hook ups and no strings attached arrangements. Some day she hoped to be done with them. Until then, she did have a lot of fun with Magnus and she liked and respected him. “I do. But it doesn’t hurt to be reminded once every now and then.” she admitted, tilting her head with a soft smile, one of the few she saved for those who truly mattered. “Not much at all.” she chuckled a bit, though the sound easily muffled by his lips on hers, her own instantly returning pressure, easily wrapped up in the taste and feel. He was such a good kisser.

The vampire chuckled as he heard the dragons words and immediately focused his attention on her “Are you seriously daring me? Because you know full well that I am confident and definitelyy stupid enough to do so…” Linus mused, only then splashing her to prove his point, a grin creeping onto his face “What are you gonna do about then?”
It was intriguing to her, watching his response, fairly sure that she would be dared back. Sometimes, you didn’t get more fun than you made for yourself. And that was entirely Vai’s intention, to at least prompt someone to loose some inhibition and have a little fun with her. “Do I?” she asked back with a small smirk that she made vanish as he did splash her again. See? Fun. Stepping closer in the water, watching his grin, she tilted her head with a devilish look in her eyes. “This.” And then she splashed him back not once but twice, not hiding a playful grin.

vampire-astrida:
Astrida looked up lazily from the lounge she was spread out on, her perfect body on show for those to see. Two attendants fanned her body, another offering her another drink. “It is okay, I do not particularly enjoy the sunlight anyway. You can remain there if you wish.”
Unable not to cock a small eyebrow at the statement, Vaimiss nodded, before realizing that a verbal response might be best. “Ahm thank you.” she said in an even tone, never quite sure about how to conduct herself with a Charbonneau. They demanded a certain degree of respect and gratitude, yet she was a dragon raised to be proud and strong. Bending and scraping to someone else did not come natural to her. “How are you Astrida?”

“Well, I say effort…But really it was just a pair of shorts over trousers” He mused, looking down at himself. The vampire sat himself up to regard the dragon, at least offering to be polite- he was always sure to be as charming as possible when it came down to it. “I must admit, were I wanting to go into the pool, this outfit would cause a problem, especially with how expensive suit jackets can be…Though you look like you’re having fun, hm?” He offered.

The sudden splash from behind her had the dragon turning slowly, eying the male that had dared to send water in her direction. It wasn’t everyone who dared to do so to a stranger, beach party or not. An older one of her kind might have responded differently, though she was young blood, and not the most serious gal around. “Splash me again and see what happens.” she said, faking a serious tone, eying the blonde.

Vaimiss had been waiting for such a party to happen. It was much more her style than the gallas or masquerade ones, as she could simply dress how she liked and relax a whole lot. Despite the wish to relax and not focus on work, she had somehow managed to bring her camera with her. Maybe it was a force of habit. And maybe it was because it was so interesting to catalog what people chose to wear. Fashion was her field after all. Noticing a dark haired chap with utterly mis matching upper and lower items on, she could not help herself. Walking over, she was about to ask if she could take his picture, though he spoke before she could. “It is great that you’re making an effort. Not everyone would. And they look great.” she said, being honest about that given that he had nice legs for sure. Now she felt bad about having wanted to bug him though.
Ariel had no idea why he’d allowed himself to be forced along to the beach party. But being a Society member always meant he had to show his face just like everyone else. The man had taken to wearing a black shirt and suit jacket- the only beach like item he’d opted for being a simple black pair of shorts. He felt utterly ridiculous. The vampire stretched himself out on a deck chair and turned his head when he noted someone casting a shadow over him “Before you say anything, the shorts are myself making an effort for this…” He sighed.

Vaimiss had been at the estate a couple of times before, but she had to admit the place was different in the daylight. Some of the parties she had attended here had been lavish and extravagant, but all after nightfall. Which to her at least, made sense because vampires and sun weren’t really a big thing. Out in broad daylight they seemed so... human. Well, she supposed all supernaturals did. Coming to a stop, she didn’t realize she had been blocking the sun to the oldest Charbonneau daughter. “Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to block your sun.” she said with an apologetic smile, stepping a few paces to the left to rectify the situation.
Astrida always enjoyed a good party, especially those held at the Charbonneau estate. She was seated in the society only area, lounging on a chaise lounge sipping on a martini as she watched the party go on, rejecting advances from lower class society members.
