Trolling

Trolling is an issue that has become very difficult to solve. We could make it illegal to troll... but then that would be violating the first amendment. We definitely can not control what everyone says, the way behave, or their own mental health. But perhaps we can instill that NOT trolling is the new norm, and educate people on how to deal with trolling. 

And there’s still another side to it... what if the trolling is dangerous? Women, ethnic groups, and certain individuals receive threatening trolls. There needs to be a protective web service of some sort to put an end to this.

Trolls

At this point, everyone has been trolled on the internet. While there might not be a way to end it completely, once and for all, I think it’s important to elaborate on the effects it can have on people. I believe that one person only bullies another because they feel that if they step on someone, it some how makes them better. It’s easy enough to post something on the internet anonymously- it’s hard to be held accountable, especially on a legal basis. Trolls have no idea the amount of emotional trauma they case. Dear trolls, you can be responsible for causing someone to end their life or be scarred for life, so please stop. Please stop feeling the need to be immature, post without a filter, and please learn to think about someone other than yourself. You have no idea what anyone is going through, and it is not your job to change someone by brutalizing them.

The reason I often don’t trust mainstream pieces or outlets is because they very rarely go talk to the people affected by the issue. They don’t consider people in a community experts in their lives, like we living it aren’t experts in our own experiences.
