When Rebecca Sugar mentioned White was inspired by the designs of Nell Brinkley of the early 1900’s, I took that and ran.
Growing up, my father was obsessed with the silent movie from the 20’s Metropolis. One of the first “science fiction” movies ever. The futuristic. repressed society, the stunning linework reminded me so much of Homeworld.
@holicmodedesign on Instagram was instrumental in helping translate this vintage yet futuristic vibe in White Diamond, marrying early Hollywood glam with something foreign and alien. I can’t wait for you to see the entire design at Katsucon when I get the chance to shoot her.
Added a silver glaze over this stunning gem from @hamsterparade on Instagram to fit with the overall aesthetic. Tights though not visible are from @welovecolors
Huge inspiration from the incredible art of @bunnymoondoji on instagram
I can’t thank you all enough for helping me change my mind.
This is an afterword
By Amelia Pond
(Or Williams —
Neither one is wrong.)
You mustn’t blame yourself
For what I chose to do.
Know that, Raggedy Man,
We’ll always love you.
When you’re reading this
We will be long gone.
Don’t be alone.
You’ve got to carry on.
We’ve lived a happy life,
Doctor, don’t you cry.
I hate to say it,
This is the last goodbye.
Here we are at last
On the final page.
We’ve lived together
To a ripe old age.
But there’s a girl out there
Who’s not yet reached eight,
And for a long time
She’s gonna have to wait.
Go to her.
Tell her a tale
Of pirates,
And rescuing a Star Whale.
Tell her she’ll fall in love,
She’ll make the best of friends.
Tell her my story,
And this is how it ends.
