Happy New Year! I hope that your festive periods have been great, and that you have nice plans lined up for this coming year! In quick reflection, I'd say I've had quite the busy year last year, and my sporadically inconsistent posts are no doubt a clear example of that. BUT! It hasn't all been a bad kind of busy; the majority of my busyness involved many good things indeed! Lockdown had loosened off for a while, and my various partners in creativity earned some well-deserved life upgrades resulting in more time for our other projects behind the scenes (at the cost of my own personal solo work), though, I'd rather be busy with bigger, better and collaborative stuff and will accept said sacrifice happily! Like each New Year, it's all about the bigger picture for me. It always was, and it always will be. Which can make it feel quite tough or daunting, but progress always surfaces making me a lot happier about it in the end! I've shared SOME pictures from the highlight in this post, along with the release of another remaster of an older track of mine (so I'm not leaving TOO empty handed!) Which I shall link below; ( https://soundcloud.com/greavor/glory ) *I'm still aware links don't work in captions here, but you'll find the working link in my bio and linktree, and so on!* The pictures here, are basically all from my long weekend in London (discluding the last 3) with @barbells.and.beats to see our usually-annual concert for the first time in two years since lockdown began and before events got cancelled or postponed. The second and third last pictures are from a follow up concert we seen and had to rush for the moment we got off our train back home in Scotland, due to it being another event that we had forgot about booking that had been postponed also. It was to see a seemingly unnamed orchestra that played music from The Hobbit, Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings. The whole last minute thing made for quite an amusing story, but nonetheless, we made it in the nick of time and it, along with the main concert in London beforehand, were absolutely fantastic JUST like our time away in the city! Ahoy Therr! Tis I, again! It's been a while... Gonna be straight up and say this post is late! 3 months, in fact. I wanted to share it for a while, but reasons happened... Anyway, I like to think you've all enjoyed the summertime weather we had! (At least those who share a hemisphere with me), because I know l did! Now, the nights ARE coming in fast, but with lockdown a little loosened, so far, I've been getting into a new swing of rehearsing, songwriting and other musical endeavours! This time, (well, 3 months ago), I have a lovely upbeat track uploaded for any who haven't yet, should you wish to check it out! Tis a little Bossanova inspired piece! Oh hey, here's a really old picture of me, looking totally beat after one of my many favourite hikes from back in the day! (Of which the following pics are taken from). The reason I bring this up, is because I found an old song from 3-ish years ago, that I finally finished! It contains some live acoustic guitar and bouzouki, played by yours truly! (Weekly, in fact)! The ones I chose to post here, however, were some of my favourites that I felt quite suited the theme and title of my new track! They are my own photos, taken at the Lake District, Kippford and Yorkshire. I miss these long-distance adventures and can't wait to get back on them again! Merry Christmas and Christmas Eve and Happy Santatime from Myself, Lil' Vaanta Claus (Picture 2 & 3) and Angelfairy (Picture 4 & 5){named perfectly by my sister, @catherineclipstone ) I really hope you all make the most of what you possibly, safely and, weird to say but, "legally" can during this time. It's been a rough year, with this beautiful time for friends and family being left to so much uncertainty... SO, do us all a solid, and have an exceptional time; eat lots of food, watch all the Christmas movies, and play all the games and so on and so on! Here's a quick wee unexpected and unplanned post about another hellova something that just happened! I took part in another one of those music contests! I can't honestly fathom it still, BUT, it appears I may have won again! I'm surprised though, as the other submissions were the best of all the competition entries I've heard (albeit in only two that I have thus far taken part in), and there was way more competition this time round! I was up against some seriously unbelievable producers!
