So to answer the easier question, I prefer Quartet Night more but I still do love the Starish boys (and the Heavens boys) a lot!

Picking my top 5 songs is gonna be so tough cause there's just too many good ones! But these are like the songs that I would never skip if they played on my playlist:

A/N: First of all, thank you for your request! I planned to write this in one sitting but I ended up getting writer's block multiple times so I'm sorry this took a while to finish! But I hope you enjoy reading it!

STARISH

Otoya:

Otoya’s first reaction when he heard you were in a coma would be to panic. Boy hasn’t had the best memories with a loved one getting hospitalised and he feared that the worst scenario might happen to you.

He would rush to the hospital as soon as possible and ask about your situation and if there was anything he could do to help. If he was allowed next to your bed he would try his best not to panic as he sat next to you. Otoya would hold your hand and talk about the memories that he shared with you, and how much he loved and treasure you, all this with the hopes that it would help you wake up faster.

When you wake up, Otoya would burst into tears from all the relief he felt knowing that you were going to be okay. You might have to end up comforting this poor boy because chances are, he can’t stop his tears from flowing. Otoya promises to take care of you better in the future, he’d never want to see you in that state again.

Tokiya:

Tokiya would be extremely shocked when he first heard of your hospitalisation, but he would be really good at staying calm. He would make his way to the hospital and talk to the doctors, letting them know if you have any special needs (e.g. allergies) so that they can find the best way to treat you.

When Tokiya visited you while you were still in a coma, he would probably end up pulling a nearby chair to sit near your bed while he did some reading. He wasn’t a man of many words to start with, and so his hospital visits would pretty much be in silence. Occasionally he would look up from his novel to take a quick glance at you. Once or twice he would find himself closing his book completely and proceeding to look at you.

When you wake up, Tokiya would make it a point to attend to all your needs if possible, and would stick very close to your bed. He would ask you if you needed anything to eat or drink, or if the bed was comfortable enough for you. If you asked to hold his hand he would very gladly extend it out for you. All that mattered to him was that you were safe and recovering.

Natsuki:

Natsuki would be at a complete loss on what to do and how to react. He was obviously upset and worried, but he told himself to try and stay positive, he wanted to believe that you would be okay. He would rush to the hospital as soon as he could so that he can check up on you.

As soon as he saw you lying on the bed, he would try to talk to you, but of course you wouldn't respond. Although Natsuki already knew of this, he was still sad, he missed your bubbly cheerful voice that would often accompany his. But he would reassure himself that if you rested well, he would hear that voice of yours again. Meanwhile, he would probably bring his piyo plush to accompany you by your side, saying it will keep the monsters at night away.

When you woke up, you would immediately be greeted by your boyfriend's cheerful voice. Natsuki would be extremely talkative, to the point where you might not be able to keep up with his energy. Instead, you decided to just listen to him go on and on, all the while wearing the biggest smile on your face.

Masato:

When Masato first received the news of you being in a coma, he felt his entire world crash in front of his eyes. It would take him a while before he could calm down and compose himself. He would then go to the hospital to ask about your condition.

After getting the assurance from the doctors that you were going to be ok, Masato would make it a point to visit you everyday. While he would love to prepare your favourite food everyday, there was obviously no point in him doing so. Instead he would bring some items from your shared apartment that he knew were your ‘comfort items’, such as your favorite toy bear. He would place them beside you, hoping that it would help in the healing process. He would also tell you about his day, a habit he cultivated since the both of you started dating.

Masato would be holding your hand so tight once you woke up, saying how worried sick he had been for the past week. You would find yourself pulled into a gentle hug, and while Masato would try his best to not cry, you would soon feel your shoulder becoming wet from his tears.

Ren:

Ren has a strong confidence in the abilities of the doctors’ who treated you, and he is sure you’ll recover in no time. However, he wouldn’t bear to leave your room and would feel more comfortable sitting by your side instead.

Everyday he would change the flowers in your vase, and made sure to display your favourite flowers inside. Once in a while he would talk to you for brief moments - maybe his voice will help you wake up faster. In the long moments of silence, Ren would hold your hand and keep them warm, occasionally running his fingers through your hair, helping you keep them tidy. If he felt uncomfortable with the silence, he would put on some music to help calm his nerves.

Upon waking up, you would catch Ren by your side, his hand still holding yours. He would be smiling at you and probably asked if you slept well. While he may look like he was never extremely worried about you, Ren felt a huge load lifted off his shoulders the moment you woke up.

Syo:

Syo was definitely worried when he received the news that you were hospitalised - and in a coma. His first reaction would be to ask what happened to you. After learning the circumstances that led to your hospitalisation, Syo would then try his best to calm down before visiting you.

Syo has had his fair share of being in and out of the hospital, so he was very attentive when he visited you - he would adjust the angle of the bed to make sure you were comfortable, making sure the temperature wasn’t too hot or cold etc. After which he would probably sit next to you while holding your hand. The usually energetic Syo would suddenly turn calm as he talked to you about how he was constantly visiting the hospital as a child and how his parents probably worried about him the same way he was worried about you.

When you finally woke up, Syo would be super relieved and might actually let the tears he had been holding back for the past week out. His hand would grip onto yours tightly as he cried, happy that you were awake and he made a promise to protect you better in the future.

Cecil:

Anyone who knew Cecil knew that you meant the entire world to him, so when he got the news that you were in a coma, it was a huge blow for him to handle. Cecil would be at a loss, to the point where he probably didn’t even know how to react until someone told him that he should go to the hospital to check on you.

However, after getting the assurance from the doctors that you would recover, Cecil spent all his time staying next to your bed, holding your hand at every chance he got. He would talk to you a lot, which was basically his coping mechanism. There would be many sleepless nights for him and he refused to leave your side to even go to the cafeteria to get something to eat (the nurses were kind enough to deliver food to him, which Cecil was grateful for.

When you woke up, Cecil would be super relieved, he would tell you how much he missed hearing your voice and your bubbly presence. Planting a chaste kiss on the back of your palm, Cecil would tell you how thankful he was that he could still spend the rest of his life with you.

QUARTET NIGHT

Reiji:

Reiji would probably go cold on the inside but he would never let it show. Silently he would blame himself multiple times for not taking better care of you even though he was well aware that you winding up in the hospital was not his fault at all. Reiji would find himself sitting very silently on one of the benches outside of your room, obviously very worried. It would take a lot of coaxing for him from the nurses to finally eat and actually get some rest.

When you finally woke up after a week, Reiji felt as if the stone of burden was lifted off his shoulders and he would let out a huge sigh of relief. He would carefully approach your bed and ask you if you needed anything - water, snacks, a blanket. If you asked for anything he would not hesitate to find a way to grab them for you.

But if all you needed was him by your side, then Reiji would gently take your hand in his and hold them for as long as possible. He’s honestly super relieved to have you back by his side.

Ranmaru:

Ranmaru would be insanely worried and while he tries not to let it show, his actions would be a dead giveaway. Like Reiji, he would refuse to leave the hospital despite the doctors assuring him that you would wake up after a week and he would find himself pacing up and down the hallways nonstop, only sitting down when he finally tired himself out.

When he finally gets to see you again after you’ve woken up, he was ready to start firing questions at you, but he would stop himself in time after seeing your face. After all, all that matters to him was that you were no longer in danger.

Ranmaru would probably have brought in some of your favourite food and drinks with him just in case you were starving after being asleep for a whole week, but you jokingly told him that you were kept well fed through the IV drip that you were given. Ranmaru then sighs and eventually just plays some soft rock music to keep the both of you company until you felt less tired.

Ai:

When Ai initially heard you were in a coma, he would worry a little, but after getting the relevant reports from your doctors, he deduced that you would do just fine, so he eased up. While he was not worried, he would have moments where he missed your presence around the house. He had already made mental notes on your daily routines, so when it was a day where you would sit in front of the TV to catch up on your favourite series, Ai would find himself doing that instead. His thought process would be like “Ah, (y/n) always loved watching this show every week.”

When you were awake, Ai would immediately go and check up on you, seeing if you were uncomfortable or tired etc and probably give you a simple explanation on what happened to you. If you were up for it, Ai would then tell you about what he did for the past week, and how he has your favourite snacks all prepared for you when you get home.

Camus:

Similar to Ren, Camus has full faith in the doctors’ abilities, who he knew were top in the nation. However, that didn’t mean that he wasn’t worried at all. He would probably be able to go home, assured that he would get a call eventually that you had woken up and he would be able to see you.

At home, he would definitely feel your presence missing, the two of you usually had afternoon tea together and at night, took walks together with his dog. Camus suddenly having to do these activities by himself felt weird. Sometimes he would accidentally make tea for two people instead of one and chuckle upon realising his silly mistake.

When he gets to see you after you wake up, he would wear a smile on his face and probably look at you with a gentle gaze, relieved that you were okay and he would soon be able to welcome you home. While holding and gently rubbing his thumb over your hand, he would then talk to you about what happened over the week (and all the silly things he had done.)

Morning kisses with the utapri boys - STARISH

A/N: I'm a failure, I said I was gonna post this a week after the QN one...look what happened.

Took me so long but it's done!! Once again I wrote this during the needy hours aka 2am in the morning but I hope you guys enjoy reading this!

MORNING KISSES WITH QUARTET NIGHT

Otoya:

Otoya always wakes up full of energy, and often before you do. If you happen to roll further away from him during your sleep, he will definitely pull you back and hold you tighter.

Otoya is a huge fan of nose kisses and nose boops. He finds them very cute and sweet, so be prepared to be peppered with nose kisses in the morning

Because of this, you're often giggling first thing when you wake up, happy to be greeted with your boyfriend's bright smile that could rival the sun. You'll be more than happy to return his favour by giving him nose rubs back and pulling him in for a cuddle session.

Tokiya:

Tokiya has made it a habit to wake up earlier before you. Like Masato, he loves spending the first few waking moments of his day admiring your beauty as the sun rays light up your face. Everyday he thanks the heavens that he had found someone who was so loving towards him despite his many flaws.

Sometimes he will pull you closer into his arms, inhaling your warm and comforting scent. Tokiya loves the calm moments in the morning he gets before he gets hit by the frantic rush from work.

While waiting for you to wake up, Tokiya would catch up on his reading. He would love to prepare breakfast for you in advance, but he loves cooking breakfast with you even more.

Natsuki:

Before sleeping with you, Natsuki often hugs a stuffed toy to sleep, so expect to be held in the same loving embrace once you start sharing a bed with him. You’ll often find yourself held tightly close to his chest, in a firm but also comfortable hug.

Natsuki is a huge fan of forehead kisses. Since he is so tall, your forehead is often the most easily accessible place for him to place kisses on. Between the two of you, there is no fixed person as to who usually wakes up earlier.

But one thing for certain is, you can expect tons of affectionate forehead kisses from your boyfriend.

Masato:

Masato is a light sleeper and is used to waking up early. He loves spending the first few minutes of his waking hours staring at you, gently tucking the loose strands of hair behind your ear and adjusting the blanket so that you are properly covered.

He will then proceed to place a super long kiss on your forehead, one that is filled with the utmost sincerity and love. Every morning he wakes up and thanks the heavens that you were still by his side despite his flawed personality.

Usually he gets up first to prepare breakfast but if Masato has time to spare that day, he’ll wait for you to wake up before preparing breakfast together, simply because he loves cooking with you.

Ren:

Sometimes Ren wakes up super early, other times he sleeps like a rock. Nonetheless, mornings with Ren are always something you can look forward to. (e.g. his morning voice is to die for)

If he’s up earlier than you, he would lay in bed and stroke your hair, mumbling words like ‘I love you’ softly towards you. He would then smile and proceed to place a kiss on an area of his choice, be it your cheek, nose, forehead, or lips - it all depended on how needy he was feeling.

On days you woke up earlier, you enjoyed placing a kiss on him instead as you watched him stir in his sleep before waking up and returning the favour.

Syo:

Because of how often he exercises, Syo often finds himself exhausted in the morning, so you’re pretty much always up before he was. You loved admiring his features and sometimes your fingers would unconsciously trace over them.

You always loved to kiss him awake, and Syo would find himself completely red in the face every time he woke up and saw your face in such close proximity to his. He would end up super flustered and whine about how it was too early in the morning for this many kisses, but secretly, we all know he loves it and would probably be sad if he wasn’t greeted by your morning kisses.

Cecil:

Sometimes Cecil woke up before you, and sometimes it was the other way round. But either way, the both of you loved giving each other a shower of kisses from the moment your eyes opened.

The both of you are always huddled close to each other (even during summers) because you enjoyed each other’s touch that much. Often, your limbs would be tangled together.

The kisses start with the forehead, before moving towards the nose, and then the cheeks, and finally, your lips. Depending on how clingy the both of you were that day, you would repeat this sequence of kisses until you were both satisfied.

A/N: Finally got some writing done after a super long hiatus! I'm sorry I haven't been posting much but I'm so happy to write for the boys again! Hopefully I can finish up the starish part by next week!

Yes I wrote this because it was 3am and I was feeling needy

MORNING KISSES WITH STARISH

Reiji:

Reiji doesn't sleep a lot, so he's pretty much always the first one to wake up. Sometimes he gently places a kiss on you before getting up to prepare breakfast, but on days he feels needy, he'll find himself lying in bed longer.

He loves admiring you, his heart swelling with happiness that he was lucky to have found you, and that he knew you loved him back as much as he did. 

He'll carefully sweep your hair away from your eyes, and place a kiss on you so gently as if you were made of glass. Reiji will break out into the most contented smile and may go back for another kiss. 

Ranmaru:

Ranmaru is a heavy sleeper, so you're often always up before him. You love combing your fingers through his silver hair as a smile spreads across your face, as cool as he was on stage, he looked so cute when sleeping.

When Ranmaru does wake up and you're still lying next to him, he'll greet you with a very husky, drowsy voice before placing a sleepy, sometimes sloppy kiss on you. 

Not that you would complain though, you know he's often tired out from his schedules and is never fully awake in the morning. But also you are aware that he will properly shower you with kisses when he's more awake. 

Ai:

Ai has the habit of waking up before you do, he can't help himself, he loves seeing your sleeping face. It was beautiful, and his favourite sight to take in every morning. 

Gently, he will use a hand to hold your cheek as he places a kiss on you - either on your nose, forehead, or lips, depending on how needy he felt that day. 

Often you would stir and gradually wake up, your face turning a bright red as you were greeted by your boyfriend's face at such a close proximity to yours. You would then greet him a 'good morning while proceeding to return the kiss he just gave you. 

Camus:

Another heavy sleeper right here. But you found out the quickest way to wake your boyfriend was to brew his favourite tea. Eventually, Camus made it a habit to wake up around the same time as you, constantly pulling you into a hug so that he could snuggle longer. 

Camus loves leaving kisses on your hands, he thinks that is the most respectful way to show that he loved you with his entire heart. So often he would raise your hand to his lips, planting a sweet kiss there (while you’re furiously blushing)

This doesn’t mean Camus doesn’t enjoy leaving kisses on other parts of your body. Some days, in addition to the hand kisses, you’ll find his lips on your forehead. And on very very rare occasions, his lips will meet with yours instead.

A/N: So... this was meant for Otoya’s birthday, but with the amount of procrastination I did I’m going to post this as a regular fic now. It’s gonna be hard for me to post birthday stories timely from now on, so I might just not do it anymore, but of course I will still write for the boys!

Otoya’s aunt had told him, the day that she brought him to see the sunflower field, the sunset had the most beautiful orange hue she had seen in her life. Everything was painted in a breathtaking sight, to the point where she didn’t want to leave.

“Otoyan, I hope you get to meet your soulmate soon, it would make me very happy.” His aunt said.

In the world he lived in, soulmates were granted a special privilege once they met each other. Upon meeting the soulmate, they would be blessed with the ability to see the world in colour. Often during breakfast, Otoya’s aunt would hand him a cup, she told him it was a red one. Being a curious child, Otoya asked her to describe what the colour felt like.

"Well you see, red's a really passionate colour, it sometimes seems fierce and fired up. But also, I believe red is the colour of life, it’s the colour of the blood that runs through our body." 

Otoya decided that red was going to be his favourite colour. 

Naturally as a kid Otoya asked his aunt to buy him things in the colour red, and his aunt did. Even though he couldn't see colours, Otoya believed that his aunt would make the effort to find the best red backpack and the best red sweater she could. 

Growing up without parents, Otoya was extremely attached to his aunt. Although she was now a widow, he knew that she worked extremely hard to support him and his interests. His aunt was his number one supporter, and Otoya's wish was to return the favour when he grew older. 

Unfortunately that wish would never come true when Otoya got the call that his aunt was hospitalised one day. 

It was pneumonia, he was informed. He had only heard of the illness during a class discussion once and had never expected a close relative of his to have contacted it. 

While his aunt didn't have the weakest body, he knew she had suffered from asthma from a young age, further fuelling the devastation caused by the virus. 

On one of the days he visited his aunt, he overheard the doctors' conversations 

"It's not looking good, she's coughing up a lot of blood."

That sentence stuck with him. 

Blood. The very thing that granted his aunt a life was the same thing that was causing her death. 

The passing of his aunt left behind a very void Otoya. He still attended highschool and graduated, he hung out with his friends at the arcade, but he was an empty vessel, constantly putting up his bright smile so no one would be concerned over him. 

Eventually Otoya graduated high school, deciding to pursue a career in music. He wanted to be a singer. His aunt always had music playing in the house when she was doing the chores or engrossed in a book. Sometimes when an upbeat song was played, she and Otoya would dance across the living room together, it was something Otoya always looked forward to. 

On bad days, Otoya would sit in a little cosy corner he made in his apartment. His aunt had a favourite song that she liked to listen to, and Otoya would find himself plugging in his earphones, while playing that song on repeat.

“Please don’t take my sunshine away...” Otoya always felt a pang in his heart whenever that line was sung, it hit a little too close to home. 

“It’s okay, you had your reason for crossing the rainbow bridge, I hope you’re in a better place now.” Otoya would often mutter to himself, while looking up at the sky.

The night before the audition, Otoya had trouble falling asleep, partially due to the excitement and partially due to him being nervous. He really wanted to do well. For the past month he had practiced the same self composed song over and over again on his guitar, to the point where some of his fingers had blisters. 

Otoya walked past the sunflower field on his way to the audition. The sight of it made it stop in his footsteps. It was still in the same shade of grey when he saw it as a kid, but it was so nostalgic - Otoya hadn’t dared step foot into the field since his aunt passed, worried that it would bring him more pain than he could handle. 

But he made a mental note to himself that he would drop by after his audition.

As expected, Otoya passed the audition - with flying colours in fact. The judges absolutely loved his piece and were very eager to have him sign on with the company. Otoya was given the chance to debut in a seven member group as planned by the company, and his training began in a month. 

His steps felt light as he made his way home, almost to the point where he was skipping along the pavement. With hurried footsteps, he made his way to the sunflower field. 

Otoya made his way towards a bench that he and his aunt often sat at, a spot deemed as the perfect place to watch the sunset by his aunt. He placed his guitar beside him and took a seat, everything was silent, with the occasional sound from the wind blowing across the field. Otoya took in a deep breath, enjoying the peace he had in the moment. He was relieved life was going as he wanted it too, and he hoped that wherever his aunt was watching him from, that she would be proud.

Suddenly, Otoya felt his ears perk up from the sound of someone singing. It was the most calming voice he had ever heard, a melody so enchanting that Otoya found himself under its spell. He straightened his back and looked around for the source, and eventually his eyes landed on a tall, dark blue-haired male who wasn’t standing too far away from where he was. 

The singing male didn’t seem to notice the pair of eyes fixated on him as he continued the melody of the song. As the song came to an end, the male seemed to sense that someone was watching him, as he turned his head and his eyes locked onto Otoya’s.

Immediately, a parade of colours came raining down into Otoya’s vision, dyeing the sunflower field in different shades of golden and yellow. Otoya's eyes widened and he felt himself let out a gasp and tears fell down his cheeks as he brought a hand to cover his mouth. The sight that unfolded in front of him was truly as beautiful as how his aunt had described it to him.

Otoya couldn’t stop the tears that kept flowing continuously down his face, and his hands eventually fell limp to his side. The other male also seemed rather dazed by the sudden discovery, but he remained calm and he approached Otoya.

“Are you okay?”, he asked, in a tone so gentle that Otoya couldn’t help but throw his arms around him, his body still quivering ever so slightly. 

The male gently rubbed circles on his pack, hoping to comfort him.

“Seeing in colour is beautiful isn’t it?” Otoya heard him ask, to which he simply nodded his head, whispering a soft ‘thank you’. 

When the both of them eventually pulled away, Otoya shyly introduced himself and also told the male that he hoped to get to know him as a person better. 

“I’m Ichinose Tokiya, I hope to get to know you better as well.”

I'm sorry if my works seem to be coming out really slow but I promise I will keep writing for the fandom for as long as possible! It's hard for me to guarantee that birthday fics will come out timely but I will eventually get around to writing them!

Headcanon #2 - Reiji Kotobuki

When Reiji feels that he's close with someone, whether that be in a platonic or romantic sense, he has an entry in the memos app on his phone and an entry in a journal about that person. He writes down things like the person's birthday, likes and dislikes, favorite foods, basically anything that someone could passively mention in a conversation that they might forget about later on.

If someone was to ask him how he'd be able to remember such a small detail about that person, he'd just brush it off or make jokes about how he's psychic and he just knew that detail. The truth is, however, Reiji doesn't exactly have the best memory if something isn't written down for him to look back on later. He'd feel incredibly guilty if he accidentally forgot something about someone he's close with, so he writes down even the smallest details about that person so he never has to worry about forgetting that person who's so dear to him

Otoya:

Otoya’s first reaction after he heard you sneeze was something like “oh?” and his mouth form an ‘o’ shape while he stared at you

Not in a weird way though he probably found you super adorable and was trying to find words to describe it

Might end up blushing and scratching the back of his head

Would definitely tell you something like “hehe that was really cute”

Tokiya:

The sound that came out from you would be enough for Tokiya to draw his attention away from the novel he was reading

The both of you would probably stare at each other for a moment - you in slight embarrassment and Tokiya out of curiosity

A small smile would dance across his face as he commented that your sneeze was cute

He would return to being buried in the book and leave you a blushing mess as you tried to hide your red face from his sight

Natsuki:

Another reason for Natsuki to find you super adorable tbh

He would gush over how cute you sounded and would probably hug you super tightly 

Would also tell the whole world about it, he’s gotta make sure everyone knows how cute you are

You’d probably end up super embarrassed but thankful you were comfortable enough around Natsuki enough to make noises like that

Masato:

Masa would also be initially confused, would probably take him a moment before he asked you if you were the one who made that noise

After you told him yes, Masa’s face would heat up because he found you absolutely cute

He’s probably more flustered than you are and he would malfunction for a bit

But afterwards he’d be super cool and comment on how cute you were while avoiding your gaze

Ren:

When you let put a squeak and clung onto Ren during a horror movie, he thought his heart was gonna combust 

But this man would never show it let's be honest here 

Most likely he would lean into you and you'd see him have a smirk on his face 

"You're so cute even when you're afraid, looks like I have to protect you even more now" 

Syo:

Syo would blink at you in confusion cause did that sound just come out from you? 

It was super cute he might pass out and his cheeks would definitely heat up 

His eyes would be darting everywhere and desperately avoiding eye contact with you

Will eventually mutter out “that…was cute” (you may or may not hear it

Cecil:

Both you and Cecil jumped into each other’s arms during the scare scene in the horror movie

But the sound you made distracted Cecil for a moment and he turned to ask you if that was you

Would immediately gush about how cute you were and pull you closer towards him 

“Don’t worry, you may come into my arms whenever you’re frightened, I’ll protect you.”

QUARTET NIGHT

Reiji:

Reiji would immediately tease you about the sound you made, saying how it made you cuter than what he already thought

Would probably pull you into a hug or place a kiss on your forehead - it’s how expresses his happiness 

Man’s trying to keep cool but the slight pinkish tint on his cheeks gave it away

Occasionally scares you around the house, just so he can hear that sound again

Ranmaru:

Ranmaru’s brain immediately short circuits when he heard the sound

Would probably take him every muscle to not show it and not run up to you to comment on how cute you were cause he’s a tsun like that

If you somehow looked disappointed in his reaction he would then make an effort to comment on how cute you were (but he’d look very unwilling)

You may have wanted a reaction but his words left you so flustered you’d start combusting

Ai:

Ai’s curiosity was immediately perked when he heard the noise you made after you sneeze

From a distance, you could feel his gaze on you, and you tried to find a way to avoid looking at him

Would definitely say “do it again” and claim it’s for research purposes

But he really just wanted to hear that sound again cause he found it cute and it made his heart react in a certain way that he liked

Camus:

Would definitely have a smirk on his face as he saw you being terrified of the ghost and maybe let out a chuckle

“My my, is someone afraid of the supernatural, seems like I need to look after you more”

May or may not transition into his butler mode depending on his mood

He’d probably pull you close to him - to protect you but also because his face is red and he doesn't want you seeing that

A/N: haha yes I have once again sold my soul to another game. I really do love the genshin characters a lot and so I decided to write about my 2 favourite fandoms together. I’m honestly not very good at keeping up with the character backstories so this is just my take on roughly how each vision is given.

(Just imagine a claymore Syo doing the spinny thing and Ai doing the entire Ningguang pose when she ults I might pass away)

STARISH

Otoya:

Vision: Electro 

Weapon: Sword 

When Otoya lost both his parents, he was devastated and lonely. But over the years he learnt to grow from that pain. While the memory constantly haunts him, Otoya remained cheerful. He often hung around the orphanage, always lending them a helping hand. He never wanted the kids there to go through the same pain as he did. 

Otoya finding strength and staying positive despite his childhood trauma was what granted him his vision.

Tokiya: 

Vision: Geo 

Weapon: Polearm 

Tokiya had to learn how to be independent from a young age since his parents were hardly around to take care of him. He has run into multiple problems but has also learnt how to face them. Although quiet in nature and often found in a corner of the library, he is known to offer great life advice due to his personal experience.

Tokiya’s calm, steady nature caught the attention of the gods, who then granted him his vision.

Natsuki:

Vision: Cryo

Weapon: Claymore

At some point, Natsuki was aware of his split personality, and he wanted to break away from it. He knew the emotional and physical damage that Satsuki caused, and he didn’t want that. He wanted to be known as a cheerful, pure Natsuki. Over time, the appearance of Satsuki decreased steadily.

One day, when Natsuki had completely suppressed the appearance of Satsuki, he found himself gifted with a vision.

Masato:

Vision: Hydro 

Weapon: Bow 

Masato was raised in a strict family, and began practicing kyudo from a young age. He perfected the skill quickly and won various competitions. Because of his rigorous training since young, Masato rarely went outside and thus doesn’t have many friends, and he sometimes comes across as slightly socially awkward. 

Despite that, his mastery in the Japanese archery form was what led to the gods giving him his vision. 

Ren:

Vision: Pyro 

Weapon: Bow

Ren is insanely mature for his age, already fully skilled at running his father’s business. He’s often found managing negotiations among clients. However, Ren also takes his rest time seriously, practicing his dart throwing skills or having a drink with some of his colleagues as they engage in a casual conversation.

Ren’s passionate outlook in life impressed the gods, who then granted him his vision. 

Syo: 

Vision: Pyro 

Weapon: Claymore 

Anyone who knew Syo, knew that he was one of the most passionate people around. Syo was well known for being athletic, and he was often seen helping out the others with their work. Syo also trained extremely hard at being a great dancer, often appearing in festivals to showcase his talent. 

His passion and hardwork was recognised by the gods, and he was therefore granted his vision. 

Cecil:

Vision: Anemo 

Weapon: Catalyst 

Cecil loved going into town to interact with the people who lived there, he was known for being a carefree and happy person who got along well with everyone. While he enjoyed being in the presence of crowds, at the end of the day you would find him unwinding up in a tall tree, playing tunes on his flute. 

The gods loved his laid back personality, and how he was never tied down by stress, eventually granting him his vision.

QUARTET NIGHT

Reiji: 

Vision: Anemo

Weapon: Sword 

Reiji was well known among his peers as an extremely hard worker. He often went beyond his responsibilities to help others, sometimes taking on more work than he could handle. Nonetheless, that didn’t stop him from being his cheerful self, never failing to make his daily rounds to greet the people around him.

The gods acknowledged his dedication to the city and how he took pride in his responsibilities, this granting him his vision.

Ranmaru:

Vision: Pyro

Weapon: Claymore

Ranmaru was often seen hiding in a secluded place jamming out on his bass. Once he had his headphones on, he often found himself ignoring everything else going on in the world. While he may seem rather unapproachable by most common folk, his close friends knew that he was the most dedicated person when it came to rock music.

The gods looked at Ranmaru’s fond love for the music and acknowledged the hard work he put in, and granted his vision.

Ai:

Vision: Hydro

Weapon: Catalyst 

Ai was made to be the perfect idol, and he was made to deliver only the best performances to his fans. Since his creation, Ai has worked hard to perfect all his techniques - from his vocal skills to facial expressions, he paid attention to all the smallest details. Often you could find him locked up in the studio for hours.

For mastering the art of being an idol, Ai was granted his vision. 

Camus:

Vision: Cryo 

Weapon: Polearm

Camus was a man who only had a few close friends. While he was known to be a gentleman to the ladies, the men often found him extremely cold hearted. You couldn’t fault him though. He feared his dad as a child and when he grew up he swore to never be that kind of man ever. It was a past that he was trying to break free from.

The gods admired his strong character and brave attitude of wanting to be a better person, and gave him his vision.

Prompt: Ai’s been confused lately about his feelings, and he thinks he might be in love

A/N: This was supposed to be up by Ai's birthday but I am sadly 2 weeks late, but I hope that nonetheless, this story brings joy to you when you read it! Ai's our precious little droid after all.

Ai had his laptop opened in front of him, his index finger occasionally tapping the table. He wore a small frown on his face as his eyebrows furrowed slightly. The sudden beep coming from the digital clock on the table reminded him that it was 5pm. 

Crap, I’m behind schedule, I need to figure out how to finish writing this in the next five minutes and forty seconds.

Writing in his online diary daily was a habit Ai had developed for the longest time. He liked the way it helped him keep track of his daily activities - what he did, what he can improve on, how he felt. He strongly believed that this was the best way to help understand human emotions better - he was still in the early stages of learning after all. 

But today was different, usually Ai had no problems dictating down his thoughts for the day, but something stumped him greatly. Thinking even harder, Ai struggled to think of the possible factor that was resulting in this. 

Today’s practice? Maybe the meal he had gave him a weird reaction. 

Ai leaned into his chair and sighed. He knew very well that it was neither of those. At this point Ai had his eyes shut as he tried to focus once more. If he didn’t know what insanity felt like before, he knew what it was now, he was about to go into overdrive and yet he could not figure out what was wrong with himself today. 

His ears perked up when he heard his phone notification go off. He leaned forward to take a look - it was a message from you. Suddenly a wave of realisation overcame him and his frown grew deeper. 

Were you the cause for his lack of focus today?

Now that he thought about it, he did notice he felt differently around you. Ai usually shrugged it off as part of his friendship development with you, but maybe he was wrong about this one. Ai fell into deep thought as he recalled the times he hung out with you recently. He remembered himself having fun, and sometimes he didn’t want the day to end. 

Just last week, Ai had invited you over to his place to play a new game he found people recommending on various sites. While it was marketed as a single player game, reviews have constantly said that playing it with someone else was more enjoyable. Ai initially thought of inviting Ren, his fellow gaming buddy, but after careful consideration, he decided to invite you over to test this game instead. 

You weren’t the best gamer he knew - you were sometimes clumsy, sometimes you messed up the controls, sometimes you went the wrong direction. 

But somehow, Ai wanted you to be his gaming partner for this round.

The game involved lots of puzzle solving in order to progress from one stage to another. Ai did most of the thinking, while you happily did the manual work to help him. Once in a while you would joke that it was tiring moving the pieces around from one place to another while Ai simply replied that thinking was equally hard. 

Before you knew it, the both of you finished the last stage in the game. Ai was happy, he was always happy when he successfully completed a game, but at the same time there was a slight sadness tugging at his heart. 

With the game ending, did that mean that he could no longer call you over as often as his gaming buddy? 

However, to his surprise and delight, you showed him another new game you found recently, and you told him that you would love to play the game with him someday. Ai agreed, and he set the next gaming session.

Was this lingering feeling of excitement and desperation to want to meet you, what others often called love? It was still a foreign emotion to him, with his only experience coming from his other labelmates talking about it during their free time. It seems like everyone had experienced it at least once in their life, and Ai was the only one left out. 

He consulted Reiji once, wanting to at least understand what it felt like to be in love. 

“Well, your heart starts racing, your eyes light up and you find yourself unable to stop smiling.” Reiji explained. 

“But more than anything, you will feel the most pain when you realise they aren’t meant for you.”

The last sentence always scared Ai a little, so love was something scary after all. 

Ai took a glance at the date on his phone - just a few more days, and he would see you again. 

Hopefully, the next time he sees you, he can get his feelings sorted out.

Your footsteps felt lighter than air as you made your way to Ai’s house. Your switch was kept snugly in your bag as your head was filled with thoughts of playing the new game with Ai. 

You had long accepted your feelings towards Ai. You liked him, a lot, and it would mean the world to you if he would reciprocate even half of the feelings you harboured for him. But eventually you taught yourself to accept that such a thing would never happen, and slowly your romantic feelings began to fade. That was okay, being his friend was more than enough.

Ai let you in almost immediately after you rang the doorbell, almost as if he happened to be waiting by the door. He set down your favourite cup of iced tea on the coffee table and made himself comfortable while you set the game up. 

Ai couldn’t help but continuously throw glances towards your direction as you were playing the game, Reiji’s words constantly sitting at the back of his mind.

Was his heart racing? 

Ai placed his hand over his heart - his pulse was indeed faster than normal.

Did his eyes light up?

Well, there wasn’t a mirror for him to verify this, but the constant need of wanting to look at you was counted right?

Was he smiling?

Definitely not smiling like a fool, but Ai felt really happy that he got to spend this time with you.

This was indeed frustrating, in his own opinion, he would consider himself in love with you. But the ‘symptoms’ didn’t match up with what Reji told him, and he didn’t want to just jump to conclusions. 

Slowly, Ai set the controller down and looked at you. Upon noticing that his character stopped moving, you turned to ask Ai what was up, but nearly fell off the sofa when you realised how close he had leaned in towards you. 

“Ai…?” you whispered. 

You weren’t exactly terrified, but you swore you could hear your own heartbeat. Ai was never like this, what has gotten into him?

Silence hung momentarily over the living room as the two of you seemed to freeze in your positions. 

Finally, Ai broke the silence. 

“There’s something I need to ask you.”

Somehow your heart skipped a beat. 

“This feeling of being in love with someone.”

Your heart skipped two beats.

“I think I have these feelings”

Three beats.

“For you.”

Your heart burst. Were you hearing this right? Could you possibly ask Ai to repeat himself. Surely he meant something else right? 

You let out a nervous laugh in hopes of dispersing the awkward atmosphere. As cliche as it sounds, you were only a fan of Ai’s that happened to be lucky enough to be his friend. There was no way he developed feelings for you.

Ai gently placed his hand on your warm cheek, causing your heart to race so fast to the point you thought you were going to pass out. He seemed to examine your face momentarily, his cyan orbs scanning your features up and down. 

“No, I’m very sure that I like you, a lot. Do you feel the same about me?”

You simply nodded your head in reply. How happy were you that your feelings were actually reciprocated, after convincing yourself that your love life with Ai was non-existent.

As for Ai, he was glad he could finally experience what it felt like to be in love, and be loved in return. 

This pleasant feeling… he definitely won’t forget it.

How would Starish and Quartet Night react when they accidentally kiss their crush

A/N: May or may not have deviated a little from the original request (because part of me believes that not all of them would ‘accidentally kiss their crush’) but besides that thank you for your request, I wrote this one real quick so I hope you like it! 

STARISH

Otoya: Will absolutely panic and turn as red as his hair. He’d frantically come up with many many reasons as to how he didn’t mean it and it was an accident, hoping that you would somehow shrug it off. 

Tokiya: Would immediately apologise and explain his actions (aka you were his crush). His honesty may possibly throw you off and you may end up becoming the one flustered after the accidental kiss instead. 

Natsuki: He would probably accidentally kiss you cause he found you doing something cute. Will probably say something along the lines of “(y/n) you looked so cute reading that book I couldn’t help myself!’”

Masato: Panics so hard that he probably goes stiff. Once he gets his senses back he immediately apologises for doing such a thing without getting your consent first. The incident would probably sit at the back of his mind forever. 

Ren: Probably acts like he meant to land that kiss on you. Proceeds to then drop flirty lines to cover up his mistake. If you point out that he was being flirtier than usual he’d go “What do you mean, I’ve always been like this.”

Syo: Will also panic and while trying to find excuses as to why he accidentally kissed you, he decided that telling you straight up that he liked you was the best way to go about it. Whether you return his feelings is totally up to you.

Cecil: When you freaked out after the kiss Cecil might panic a little and explain that kisses to him were a way of expressing happiness and he forgot that this gesture was not something common among friends. 

QUARTET NIGHT

Reiji: Might have done it out of excitement. If you asked him what was that all about he would probably say something along the lines of “sorry sorry was i too excited there?” while showing you puppy eyes.

Ranmaru: Suddenly gets defensive and goes like “that didn’t mean anything it was accidental” but is actually very panicky on the inside and probably prays to all the gods that you wouldn’t press him any further.  

Ai: Ai would explain his actions as an ‘experiment’. Hearing that you’d probably end up extremely flustered at how bold this droid is but what you wouldn’t know is that Ai is about to go into overdrive.

Camus: Would play it off as a kind gesture from his part (y’know the entire butler act). You would never suspect that he actually let his romantic feelings get the better of him because he is that good at shrugging it off.

How would Quartet Night try to help their s/o (reader) who is dealing with suicidal thoughts?

Ai

His approach is mostly logical. As in, talking with you about the things that make you happy, the reasons why you need to stay alive, and how much of a negative impact your death would have on those around you. He’s also going to try to get you psychological help that goes beyond his limited ability. While Ai may come off as a little cold, it’s obvious that he’s taking the situation very seriously and trying to get you the best help possible. He wants you to be okay, and he’s a lot more scared than he lets on. 

Reiji

Yeah... he knows how it feels. Reiji is very sympathetic to how you’re feeling. He does his best to cheer you up and remind you of how important you are to him, and definitely makes sure to spend as much time with you as possible. Making you feel loved and important is the best thing he can think to do. When people want to die, it’s usually because they feel alone— and Reiji knows how much that hurts. He gets extremely worried and checks in with you constantly, as well as becoming even clingier with you. 

Ranmaru

It scares him. Thinking of you winding up dead legitimately scares him. And Ranmaru feels lost. He’s not great at sensitive, emotional matters, which means that he feels genuinely helpless. What winds up happening is that he starts treating you like you’re made of glass... but also being more affectionate and tender than you’ve ever seen from him. The fear brings out a lot of the feelings he’s normally too embarrassed to admit, all because he can’t imagine what would happen if he lost you thanks to his own stupidity. 

Camus

He sometimes struggles to be sensitive enough, but it’s obvious that he’s trying. A lot of Camus’s strategy is to keep a close eye on you and try to make sure you’re not left unattended. He also is openly more affectionate with you and goes out of his way to be as gentle and kind as possible. He really doesn’t know what he’s doing, but trying to be less harsh and cold is probably a good start. The main thing he can think to do is try to make sure that you’re aware of how loved you are, and how precious.
