Riordan blending up Paul and Poseidon's character descriptions in chalice of the gods is funny because I now choose to believe that after Paul and Poseidon saw each other at Percy's birthday, they both thought "so that's what Sally's into" and immediately began trying to adopt the other's style.

I’m like 9-10 chapters into The Sword of Summer which I’m reading for the first time and I’ve read ToA and TSaTS (and PJO and HoO) so 1. YAY!! Magnus has a smart cousin 2. Where did the sword go? He had and it lost, just like people do in class with ideas. Also, I know nothing about Norse Mythology but I’m part Scandinavian and my name is Scandinavian- and 3. I already love Magnus and his sense of humor so yeah🤷👍

Closing the chapter

The worst pain is being in no contact with the one person you’re still in love with, who at one point in time sent you texts that made your heart melt. Butterflies every time you saw them. And now you love them only in silence from a distance. Slowly being forced to close every chapter you never wanted to end. 📖

I love talking about who's the oldest and youngest of the big 3 kids because it depends on how we look at it because in order from oldest to youngest,

chronologically its

hazel, bianca, nico, thalia, percy, then jason

but then physically its

percy, Jason, thalia, nico, bianca, then hazel

and I think it's a little funny to think about all of them using the "well I'm older than you !!" excuse when they wanna do smth

If I can recommend you do 1 low-effort thing for the love of God it is this:

Keep 5 cards in your pocket. One will say "yes", the second will say "no."

If you lose your voice, or lose speech, or want to make a dramatic embellishment at the right time, it is an elegant and efficient solution that is right there at hand.

But what if people question you from there? "Why do you have that card? Why would you do this? How long have you had that in your pocket?" For this, or whatever else they say, the third card: "I don't have a card for that."

The joke is over. Rule of threes. Now they are curious. They wonder about logistics. "How did you know I would say that? Is everyone so predictable?"

As a three-part bit, nobody ever sees the fifth card coming.

I just finished the Tower of Nero for the first time, which means I have finished Trials of Apollo. It was amazing, I wish I could read it again for the first time. I’m moving onto reading the Sun and the Star soon.

Look, if the actors are great, I get it, but even THEN when I understand that, why??? It’s just change is great, I love it most of the time, I’m super hyped about the change on Annabeth (let’s be for real, she’s white AND black, her character is one of the most well known characters due to being there since book 1, the lightning theif and staying conssitent throughout the books (not including ToA, but even then she’s mentioned) and longer than Nico, Rachel, Tyson and other characters overall were, the character Annabeth has built herself a title among the fandom due to her actions, that title and those actions do not have to do with her race. (Anyway, I got off track) Nico is well loved throughout the fandom (or if y’all don’t, then I mean me and other people out there somewhere) Nicos appearances in Heroes of Olympus and in Trials of Apollo are what really brought him forward to the readers. Due to Nicos original introduction in Percy Jackson and the Olympians there is a familiar ground for fans when reading both of the following series set inside Rick Riordan’s world. I can see Nico being blonde, and the right actor pulling it off, it’s just I PERSONALLY (plz don’t come after me if our opinions are different) think with all of the more recent additions to Riordan’s world, making Nico blonde should be avoided at all costs unless Riordan decides so, because I trust his judgment, plus the entire Percy Jackson fandom is at mercy, he’s in charge, and gifted us this beautiful world. Anyways, yeah. This was kinda a rant because I need to sleep. Idk. I’m tired. This is not my best writing about my opinion and I’m not gonna revise it and just hope. I may come back to this tomorrow and revise tho.

I love how nobody's talking about the fact that there is a very real possibility Nico could be blond in the show.

So far, I’m 150 pages into the Tower of Nero and I love the part Nico and Will have played in helping Apollo and Meg so far. I’m excited to see how the rest of this book goes :)

oh me? yeah no im not at all thinking about TLT and how clarisse and percy were both presented as having a (complex) relationship towards violence. im not at all thinking about the dynamic between clarisse and Percy, how clarisse started out as a bully then became a friend all bc they both share a commonality: being stuck in the cycle of violence. not AT ALL thinking about nature (clarisse) v nature (percy) in how they deal with it on a day to day basis. how clarisse needed to feel powerful and please her father. how in som she practically covers before ares. how percy keeps his head down, a pot simmering until it screams and bubbles over. how the boiling is faster when its another person. how clarisse pushes her pain out and percy pushes it in.
