Super Punch Out gets so much hate and it makes me so sad. I know it's a bit of an odd duck in the franchise but I think the art style and gameplay are really fun.

Sure, not every character is the most memorable, but there's some that stand out to me and are my favorites who I wish got more love. (Let's also not forget this is the game Aran Ryan, the fandom's favorite redhead aside from Glass Joe, comes from)

Ik the poll didn't really end yet, but I feel at least decenly confident that I can post the fic snippet (maybe, but here goes anyway lol).

I'm still developing these character interpretations and their backstories, but I'm happy to answer questions if I can! And I'm also open to ideas and suggestions!

"Yer gonna kill yerself with those."

"That's the plan, arseface."

Aran huffs and leans back a bit, shoving his hands in his pockets. "Fine. Keep digging yer own grave..."

"Funny that *you* of all people are talking about digging graves for oneself. You were always so self-destructive. And judging from yer matches you still are. You were only ever trouble for us."

"....." Aran gives a snort, a something between a real smile and a smirk forming on his face. "You watch my matches?"

"*Ma* watches yer matches. I just happen to catch a few when she has them on." She takes another drag. "And it's so typical of you to focus on that rather than anything else I said."

"Yeah? Well, I learned to tune out yer yapping a long time ago," he snaps back.

"And it just made me yell louder." She exhales and watches the smoke again before smiling wryly. "Seems that turned out well for all of us, hm? You leave us for yer boxing matches....world circuit fame...leave me and Ma....'cause one member of the family leaving wasn't enough. It had to be you, too."

Aran scoffs but stays silent, steeling his expression, and avoiding any eye contact.

Being back made him realize why he left. And also why he felt the need to come back.

Oh, and before I hush up again, I thought I ought to finally post this:

So, in the communities this post is tagged under, at least some of you may know of someone named @/belosneshkaa, previously known as @/boltun-tkn, among other names including @/boltun-tr and @/schn33wi11ch3n. I won’t beat around the bush: this user groomed me when I was 16 (I’m 17 now as of posting this) and she was 29-30 years old (still currently 30). Our relationship lasted from roughly mid-december to late august. Over the course of this time, she allowed many sexual conversations to occur between us. A lot of these I did not prompt, and as this doc shows, she also brought up sex with me out of the blue and without my consent. This also includes sending me inappropriate pictures and videos with little to no warning (and while being aware that I was a minor)**

@angletic helped in creating this document for me and I want to thank her dearly for this. You’re the best🫶

This doc mainly just contains evidence of her more irresponsible/groomer-like behavior. I did notice other behaviors of concern during my friendship with her (i.e. homophobia towards gay men in particular [likely a result of her being a misandrist, something she’s admitted to beinging herself publicly and with other friends/ex-friends of hers btw], speaking over other queer people such as gay trans men like me, among other things I found out through listening to other ex-friends of hers), however I feel my cases for those things could appear more subjective to some. Thus, I did not include those claims in the doc, nor will I go into them in depth here. I know what I experienced, but for these specific things you are not required to believe them at face value.

I also feel I should add this last screenshot too just to make clear why you should all be wary of boltun. She does NOT value your consent, not even if you are a friend of hers. As she admits below in a previous conversation we had, she had issues with the idea of consent in the past, and considered it ultimately unimportant. She tried to tell me that she had changed though, and that she values consent. Boltun… if you truly valued consent, you would have never sent any of those things to me, you would have never expressed to me finding cat rape funny and sent me that specific image of a woman being unconsentually shown a dildo/penis as something that was supposed to be “funny”, and you would’ve never tried pressuring gaby, another used-to-be close friend of yours, into making nsfw for you by sending her pornographic things without her asking for it. None of this would have ever fucking happened if you actually gave a shit about the other person’s consent in a dynamic/relationship.

The only kind of “consent” you learned to find important was your own, never the other person’s, and it shows

One more note about gaby(aka. @beatleswings): she too plans to come out about her experiences with boltun. While she isn’t a minor like me, she was still abused and her consent was still disregarded by boltun. She’s taking her own time processing, collecting her evidence, and working on how to come out about this, so please be patient with her. She does not owe you an immediate response.
