Turkey is the only place in the world where natural black roses grow, nourished by the waters of the Euphrates. These rare flowers can only be found in the village of Halfeti in the southeastern province of Şanlıurfa, near Urfa.
During summer, they appear black, while in other seasons, they turn a deep dark red. This unique color is due to the soil's density and the combination of anthocyanins, water-soluble pigments highly sensitive to pH levels.
