IMRAN KHAN
Imran Khan, born on October 5, 1952, in Lahore, Pakistan, is a multifaceted personality known for his roles as a cricketer, politician, and philanthropist. He gained global fame as a cricket legend, leading the Pakistan national team to its first and only World Cup victory in 1992. His charisma and leadership on the field earned him respect and admiration, establishing him as one of cricket's greats.
After retiring from cricket, Khan shifted his focus to philanthropy, founding the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre in Lahore in 1994, named after his mother who succumbed to cancer. His commitment to healthcare in Pakistan was further demonstrated with the establishment of Namal University, aimed at providing quality education.
In 1996, Khan entered politics by founding the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, advocating for anti-corruption and development. In the 2018 general elections, Khan's party won a majority, and he became the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan.
