Can you give some examples for urban legends? I want to apply but i'm totally drawing a blank here.

I was creeping your rp and noticed some of your links in your after acceptance section are unlinked. I didn't know if you knew or not if you did sorry for the bother. ;p

     i’m honestly the worst ^tm when it comes to simple things like this!! i mean, most of the pages are completed and everything, posted on the main for the roleplayers and yet i totally forget to link it in the navigation - thank you so much for this message because honestly without it, they would probably still remain unlinked. i’ll be fixing it when i change our theme soon!!

     we may as well just announce that i’m a terrible admin and the queen of not linking things. i mean, the mobile navigation is linked in our description, but for some reason you can’t click on it. anyway, that will be sorted out shortly!! click anywhere in this sentence for our full/mobile navigation + our suggested legends page.

     excuse the shay gifs because i currently am too lazy to make some lea ones. BUT - after a lot of consideration on what would be best for this roleplay and the players, i have decided that we will be a small, closed group of say 5x5 characters. of course i would be very happy to expand numbers if more people are interested. i feel like with how this community is, it’s hard for people to join a roleplay and stick to it - which is unfortunate because of all the wonderful things that i have planned for this group. that’s the first idea that i’ve stumbled upon. 

     the second is that i will soon switch out our theme for a little simple one, as well as the johnny blog since i’m not really feeling it and i don’t know - why spend time on graphics when i’m here for the writing and roleplay love? i’ve also decided that once we have filled all the slots in the roleplay that this main will be both a home base for this roleplay, but also the “news” blog. i feel like having a small group and lower expectations for this roleplay will help me as an admin because honestly - we’re not getting the love we deserve because people are unreliable and it bums me out and burns out the muse that i have. 

     but imagine how cute it would be!! little events, everyone sharing moodboards and we can all go on this interesting and exciting adventure together - because if you’ve read what i posted on my rph blog mid rant, you will know that i have so many ideas for us. that being said, i’m going to make some modifications to this blog in order to fit the new ideas i’ve had, and will get my fat ass onto marlowe’s blog and get some shit done. 

     i know that from the beginning i have said that i will not give up and that the goal for this roleplay is to reach one year of activity to prove to myself and everyone that we have it in us to be reliable and creative for that long. that still stands. there has not been a moment where i’ve thought of making a post, giving up on us. instead, i find ways to repair decisions i my have made that didn’t quite fit what this community needs and instead i compromise and remind y’all that i really fucking love you.

     so i’m currently brainstorming a new and a little bit more brighter theme - only because even though this is a horror roleplay, we can still give off that crystal clear image that everything in adairsville is “perfect”. i have just updated our taken page and i have something i want your opinions on. would you guys rather this be turned into a semi-appless roleplay OR perhaps we could be a skeleton roleplay?? message us your thoughts because i’d love to know!!

     hello babies!! i’m sorry for my lack of inactivity i’ve just been having some things happening in real life that have been super stressful and my muse for this roleplay had died down for awhile. but when i logged on and found you guys are still roleplaying and some of you had posted your tasks, i couldn’t help but feel my heart warm up because, honestly it’s good to remember that even though i’m frustrated with the lack of attention this roleplay is getting, i’m still not alone in it. i will be posting again regularly tomorrow!! 

     i’ve also decided that because most people are still busy that you can post your character’s reaction to the johnny text any time in the next week or so. i’m sorry for being a horrible admin but hopefully things will go back to normal soon!!

     happy new year!! i think that given that it’s now 2017 which means a nice and clean slate for most people, maybe we can take up the whole “new year, new roleplay” kinda thing. i mean, new years is sorta like a rebirth, similar to what our antagonist has done in our plot, and it means you should try something new. never been in a horror roleplay? check us out. spent 2016 only applying for appless roleplays? check us out. tired of roleplays that go inactive in a few days? check us out. feel like the year of 2016 was the year of roleplay group drama and pettiness? check us out. i assure you that we can promise you a better and happier 2017 roleplay experience.

     also from both of us admins, who happen to both live in the future, happy new year!! may your year be full of happiness & horror (only the fun kind though).  i just want to also add that if you are of legal age and drinking in celebration, please be careful and don’t drink and drive or text and drive. if you are drinking, i suggest drinking a glass of water with every alcohol drink you have in order to prevent a nasty hangover. just stay safe!!

Could you explain how should we make the link for our writing sample?

     there’s actually a variety of ways that you can do this, lovely!! if you have an old roleplay blog, then you can simply just link us to that as long as it at least shows some of your writing and not all one liner posts. we’ve also had a roleplayer of ours use pastebin and link it to us that way. i also suggest perhaps putting your writing sample in a private post here on tumblr and linking that to us. you could even make a page on your blog and have your writing sample there. if you don’t know how to do any of these things, i’ll be happy to help you!!

How active is this rp?

     this is actually a super complicated question to answer. since we opened just as the holiday season began and now it’s drawing to an end, things have been a little slow due to how busy everyone has been. however, i’d say we are amazing with our activity. since this roleplay is based more so on our writing, it’s not like - say - a bandom roleplay where you can sit on the dash for a few hours reblogging memes and posting random things. our roleplayers do log in at least once a day and sit down and work hard on all of their replies - not missing a single one. being a small group of many timezones, there are only a few people who can catch each other online at times, but i don’t believe that changes anything at all. 

     everyone has replied to other’s starters, threads are coming into the 20s when it comes to notes, all heavily riddled with some of the best writing i’ve seen in a long time. we are a steady roleplay, i personally don’t ask much from our roleplayers because i understand the circumstances in which they may fall under when life comes into play. however as i said, everyone has logged on at least once a day and done all of their replies, therefore no one is inactive and everyone is roleplaying with everyone. the writing and the fact you’re all taking time out of your day to log on is enough to keep this roleplay going!!

     i can definitely say that i have not been the best admin but to be fair, i live in australia and specifically where i live it tends to get extremely hot during the summer. however i am trying although the heat is making me lazy and sleepy. also please don’t forget that your first task ( located HERE ) is due on new years day!! also we will definitely be doing the secret santa thingy mcdoodle with johnny soon, i just don’t wanna throw a tonne of events and tasks on you all after you’ve just started to calm down from the holidays. also the self para replies to johnny’s text don’t need to be tagged with anything specifically but if you could tag the blog in your post that would be great!! just so everything can stay all together.

     it’s also very unfortunate that i have to tell you all to unfollow veronica hill ( @jpgveronica ) due to a weeks worth of inactivity. however, the rest of you are all doing great and it makes my heart want to burst!!

     i sincerely apologize for the late reply!! however, applying for our roleplay is simple and takes close to no time at all. all you need to do is fill out this form and submit it to our blog, then wait for acceptance. after that, you make your character’s account, shoot as an ask so we can give notice to follow your character and you’re all set to join in on the fun!!

     my admin game has been week over the course of the holidays, however i am now back and ready to get this ish on the road. our dash has been nice and steady and guess what? we have been open for nearly a week, crazy. it’s no big deal, really. it’s just a big deal to me. anyway, it’s time to dust off my skills and bring in more love to this roleplay!! which is where you, tag lurkers, come into play. i’ll be around for questions and i’ll be working on a new promo graphic - crazy crazy crazy. come check us out.

If you don't mind, could you suggest more urban legends/creepypasta's?

     i wouldn’t mind, however there is one issue. i searched the internet for hours, creeping into reddit threads and my own mind - even some really weird websites but the urban legends on our legends page so far at the only plots that i feel like would really work in our roleplay. however, i am not going to stop anyone from being creative and coming up with their own urban legend,  in fact i encourage it - however weird and morbid it may be.

when will johnny strike first?

     this is a very hard question to answer. with the holidays, i’ve tried to give our roleplayers as little work as possible until new years, since two of our roleplayers have taken a short hiatus which i believe should be ending in the next day or so. i didn’t want to put any more stress on them!! however, i do have a lot of ideas for when johnny can first really come into play. of course we have our first task - the first ever johnny diablo text message. and at the moment johnny is keeping his distance with the torments, allowing the legends to just be out of reach for the characters, sussing them out, trying to see their reactions to seeing/hearing the legends who haunt them.

      but i would really love our roleplayers to reply to this post with their thoughts on the following. how do you guys feel about a little late christmas themed task? i was thinking that our friend johnny can drop by and make first physical contact with our character by leaving each of them a horrible secret santa gift. of course, if we want to go all the way we could do a whole christmas themed event!! OR we could do the adairsville’s annual christmas eve x new years eve bash on the 31st of december. now this is an idea that i’m gonna keep a little bit of a secret, because it’s a very good idea and i want the characters and roleplayers alike to be surprised by what will happen. 

     personally i think he may quickly strike for a little bit of a late secret santa, and again for the adairsville holiday bash. what do you beautiful people think?

guys your posts are flowing out of your bg container because it's fixed while the container isn't!!

    i just wanted to say a quick thank you for this message!! when i changed our theme the one problem was the coding and how it appeared on different screen sizes. gina thought she’d fixed it but unfortunately she didn’t. but it turns out it was really a simple html quick fix that i hadn’t thought of when playing around with it. the theme should now be nice and fixed for you all, though for bigger screens there may be a repeating in the background.
