Hey it’s nice to see you be active for this series! I finished the anime and got so confused by what was happening. I plan to read the manga but my heart won’t be able to handle not having somethings explained which I know I can’t avoid since the mangaka left a lot of things unexplained.

What was Yuki’s past life with Luca? Why is Luca so devoted to Yuki? Why did Yuki die in the previous life? Did Luca ever betray Yuki?

And will the manga be worth reading or the unexplained things will drive me crazy?

Sorry for the delay in response!! So the anime deviates from the manga after Senshirou and Kuroto are introduced. I assume they did it to wrap things up since the manga was still ongoing. And you’re right the prepare yourself for loose threads.

We don’t know much about Yuzuki’s (girl Yuki) life. We don’t know how she met Luka or how their relationship developed. My headcanon is that she met him during a battle and saw the good in him so her good nature won him over.

She died slowly and painfully because as the resident healer she’s giving herself to the Zweilts and absorbing their pain. Over time it took a toll on her body and she died pretty young. That’s why everyone feels so bad for her/him cause damn that’s a sacrifice

Luka didn’t do a damn thing so why the self hate?? The betrayal isn’t officially explained. Could be referring to the foreshadowing we were given. It seems like Luka was thinking of leaving Yuki’s side for a bit for Yuki’s sake. Then again you could argue his betrayal had something to do with Yuzuki’s death. Maybe he couldn’t bring himself to kill her so he had to watch her die slowly? Theories abound

I personally think the manga is worth it because it expands on things and introduces characters that weren’t in the manga. The biggest thing that bugs people is Yuzuki and Luka’s past aren’t explained. Also there’s some whiplash before the end. I won’t spoil it but something out of no where happened and then the manga ends. The end is more of a stopping point so if she wants to return Hotaru can. But if she doesn’t, it’s not like it ended in the middle of an arc

Yeah it finished up a few years ago, but the ending is kinda rushed. Here’s a full explanation on it

Hello I was wondering about if takashiro knew what actually happened in the past with Reiga and yomi and regrets abot it as I heard that yomi was pregnant with a child but was killed by some people because which Reiga goes on a killing spree and kills everyone.so I wanted to know if takashiro ever gets to know about it?

I wonder why the identity of Yuki’s dad was kept such a mystery. Like I understand he wouldn’t be a relevant character in the long run (although it would be cool if he just randomly showed up) but to make him a nameless nobody seems weird… or was it intentional? Like why couldn’t they just be like “oh yeah your dad was ___ Usui so Shusei is your cousin but your dad passed away/ran off/disappeared etc”. I think it would have been interesting if the theory that Takashiro was actually Yuki’s father turned out to be true and that’s why his paternity was kept a secret.

That very well could be a possibility I think holds up. It also could just be that Hotaru didn’t put that much thought into it. You’d be surprised how many times authors do things just because. I like to think it was gonna be an important thing but, just like other things with the series, got dropped with the series

There’s nothing official, no. Luckily that means any head canon is a viable option

Because when a Zweilt fights they put their soul on the line. If they lose that fight, they lose the ability to reincarnate. Takashiro explains it to Yuki after he first met Kuroto in Kamakura

I feel the same way. As a fan of the series I want a better ending but not at the expense of Hotaru’s health. I can barely bring myself to draw dumb doodles when I’m in poor health so I can only imagine the stress of drawing 15+ detailed pages

How old do you think Luka is?

From what I get from the manga, the zweilt and yuki only got reincarnated one time. And their original life was I think from the japan Heian Period. So guessing it from 784-1185 and the manga started what? 2011?

So isn’t he like 800 years old Hhahha I wanna hear your thoughts.

I one time did the math on the previous lives time spans. I’d say he’s at the very least 200yr old but he seems to have had a long life even before he met Yuzuki so I’d say at least 300. Def could be more
