Another “Arima is Ghoul” theory

I’m fully aware there’s theories going around saying that Arima is a ghoul. Meh, I’ve given up my hope for humanity since it’s revealed Arima is a part of V anyway…

However, I’ve summed up the theory, I really hope I was wrong. I’m just gonna put this out there, and hope maybe @sans-san or @makyun will come up with a better theory that eases the pain in my little fangirl’s heart. So, here goes…

Arima may be a one-eyed ghoul, and V removed his right eye and replaced it with glass so he does not show kakugan while using Ghoul abilities. More evidence is in the chapter where Kaneki fights Arima and Arima finishes him off by impaling him with “something”, it looks different from IXA’s melee, which looks more like a corkscrew. Either way, something is wrong with Arima’s right eye. The right side of his face is the only place he has been scratched, by Kaneki and Minami. Kaneki is also looking much more like Arima each day. Worth noting is that Hirako is going to be at Cochlea, and he knows Arima best. With his obvious resent for Arima, if it is revealed in the Cochlea raid that he is a Ghoul, Hirako will likely know of his weakness.

And during the auction arc (chapter 31 to be precised), when Haise approaches Arima, the surroundings are all blacked out. If this was Arima’s POV, then his vision field is very limited. His “blindspot”.

well well… His vision sure is bad. “Bad” doesn’t even cover it. 

Ok, I think that’s it. I’ve put it out there. Please, let me be wrong in this.

*exhales*.....Boi. This chapter was lit asf. I still wish to see more of Kisuke's ever so beautiful bankai and grim just popped up...SUPRISE ! XD He sure knows how to steal hearts , huh ? Huuuh? But I enjoyed this chapter to the max. Also from what I've hear Kubo is not feeling well ? If so , do get well soon Kubo-sensei and thank you for one of my favorite shows

I smell a rematch but honestly , Kaneki says one things and means another. With the smile he showed on this chapter he's probably in my mind ! Going to save Hinami and probably Eto. He usually gives that smile when he's about to do something dumb and dangerous. And if that's the case maybe we'll see a Arima vs Kaneki. Or since Futura is in charge of watching Kaneki he'll face him. But don't instantly put him against Ayato. And don't make it seem like what happened last time will happen again. Ayato has gotten stronger too, give the little black rabbit a chance (*´>д

So Futura is form the garden. So that means he isn't a ghoul BUT there is still a possible he is. And he's probably as strong as Arima O.O

Butterflies and Moths

I’m not so sure about this as I think the butterfly in chapter 63 does have a deeper meaning for the future of the series as a whole but there has been one mention of butterflies in TG recently before this latest chapter- with Touka in the calendar represented as the Agehamodoki [x]

Agehamodoki- A subspecies in the Epicopeidae family. The origin of the Japanese name is their mimicry of the male Chinese Windmill that contains poison in it’s body and is difficult for predators to prey on. ‘Ageha’ refers to the swallowtail family of butterflies and ‘modoki’ means “like, pseudo”

As far as I can tell, it’s not actually a butterfly but a moth which mimics a poisonous male butterfly for protection. It looks like this, with the Agehamodoki moth on the left and the male Chinese windmill butterfly it mimics on the right:

In the calendar, it’s a pretty clear throw back to Touka and Ayato- they both carry the Rabbit alias, Ayato mimics Rabbit’s kagune  and mask to look like Touka, both Ayato and Touka look so much alike that they are confused for each other (Banjou thought Touka was Ayato for a second when he first walked into Anteiku).

And now we’ve had a similar looking insect show up in chapter 63. It’s hard to tell what type of butterfly/moth it is in the panel and it might not have any connection to Touka in the calendar at all. But it is interesting that it doesn’t show up in any panels with Eto but instead is most prominent with people who have one foot in both the ghoul and human world, who would benefit from peace between the two.

And the Quinx who mimic ghouls, especially Urie whose senses are becoming more and more ghoul-like [x]:

(Ayato is also nearby, who mimics Touka’s Rabbit alias, but it’s unclear so far how he would fit into it)

I don’t think the butterfly/moth has anything to do with Eto personally, but rather how her actions this chapter will affect others. Both butterflies and moths are a symbol of metamorphosis- of change. And where does the final butterfly in this chapter show up?

I hope this means we’ll have to brace ourselves for big change in the structure of the world that has been set into motion by Eto’s announcement. Is this her plan? To upset the balance of the world that V so far seems to be maintaining? Or is this her declaration of war- a call to arms for the ghouls that she wrote her book for? Or is she trying to get humans to understand ghouls better- to change their opinions on ghouls as mindless killers? Who knows but I’m excited to see where it’s going and where Kaneki fits into this now that he has been seen on live TV standing next to her!

As the caption for the next chapter says, it’s time to face the world and it’s questions!

In the new chapter I seen this – It instantly reminded me of the one ghoul the absolutely rekt Kaneki. Shachi Kamishiro, Well Shachi is a nickname meaning ‘Orca’ roughly.. But if its true then… Kaneki might get his daily dose of fist. I also seen some ghouls running across a roof top. It’s either a rescue squad for Eto. Or possibly a squad to attack Cochela. Or people chaining Shachi. Either way next weeks chapter is going to be lit. I get to see one of my favorite ghouls again ヾ(*´∀｀*)ﾉ Where were you Shachi ?!
