It’s here, it’s here! It’s really here! It’s Week in Review.
Tumblr media
On the rise
(TV) Andi Mack debuts at No. 12 after it featured the first ever coming out scene on The Disney Channel.
(Anime & Manga) Anime/manga fans, rejoice: One Piece jumps four spots to No. 6.
(Video Games) Cuphead jumps one spot to dethrone Overwatch at No. 1. We see you, Cuphead.
(Movies) In anticipation of its theatrical release on Friday, Thor: Ragnarok is, of course, No. 1.
(Music) Frank Ocean returns at No. 16 following his 30th birthday. Happy birthday, @frankocean!
Tumblr media
Caught slipping
(Music) Yeowch. Hayley Kiyoko drops fourteen spots to No. 18.
(Celebs) In just one week, Katie McGrath falls eleven spots to dead-last No. 20.
(Video Games) Kingdom Hearts III is losing steam, huh? The game is down six spots to No. 19.
(TV) Brooklyn Nine-Nine may have taken a six spot drop, but the show is still at No. 10. Not too shabby.
(Ships) Do you guys even ship Sanvers (Supergirl’s Maggie Sawyer and Alex Danvers) anymore? It took a six-spot nosedive straight to No. 17.

The Strangest Thing
Here at Tumblr’s Fandometrics, we’ve never seen a show have such an impact on our lists as Stranger Things 2 did this week.
(TV) Stranger Things itself is at No. 1, of course.
(Ships) Mileven (Mike Wheeler and Eleven) and Jancy (Jonathan Byers and Nancy Wheeler) have taken over the No. 2 and No. 5 spots, respectively.
(Celebs) Okay. Get ready. This is the most amount of celebrities we’ve ever seen from one single enterprise at one time. It’s a lot. You’re ready, right? Deep breath. Joe Keery (No. 6), Noah Schnapp (No. 7), Natalia Dyer (No. 9), Charlie Heaton (No. 12), and David Harbour (No. 16) debuted for the first time ever. Finn Wolfhard (No. 1), Millie Bobby Brown (No. 2), Gaten Matarazzo (No. 8), Caleb McLaughlin (No. 10), and Winona Ryder (No. 13) return from last year’s debuts. That’s ten celebrities. That’s half of our list! From one TV show! Congratulations, Stranger Things.

This fucking sucks
soooooo in some recent terrible news the Canadian province of Quebec has officially banned Muslim women who wear the niqab, burka and other facial coverings from accessing public services like libraries, healthcare facilities, buses….oh also they can’t attend universities or publicly funded schools in general anymore so things kinda suck up here in Canada
If y’all could send an indignant tweet or two in the Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard’s direction, and also the Quebec Liberal Party, who sponsored the bill, it’d be something non-Canadians can do. If you live in Quebec, just call up your  MNAs and tell them how fucked up this is.

It’s okay if you’re still in the closet. Don’t force yourself to come out if it’s not safe or you don’t feel comfortable doing it. Do it at your own time and when you’re feeling most calm. Until then, love yourself and have pride in who you are. 🏳️‍🌈

Reblog if you agree ace people are LGBT.
I’m sorry I’m making another post about this. But the fact people exclude them is so wrong. And I know people are going to call me stupid for it but whatever.

My sister used to trigger me on purpose when i was really young and we would eat together
Some Misophonia Myths & Facts
Myth: misophonia is a sensitivity to loud sounds
Fact: the vast majority of misophonic triggers are “soft” sounds that most people can’t hear
Myth: misophonia is always triggered by loud eating
Fact: while eating is by far the most common trigger, everyone has their own triggers due to their personal experiences.
Myth: misophonia is an “annoyance”
Fact: misophonia causes the “flight or fight” reaction, which causes but is not limited to: adrenaline rush, muscle tension, obscenely violent intrusive thoughts/visions, and extreme emotions such as: violent rage, sheer terror, and extreme panic.
Myth: misophonia is made up because it isn’t in the DSM
Fact: no. just… no. for one there are medical professionals who have dedicated their lives to this disorder. they didn’t do that for something fake. brain scans have shown that are brains are literally differently wired so if that doesn’t prove it to you idk what to tell you.
Myth: misophonics just need to be “desensitized”
Fact: if you trigger someone’s misophonia to “help” them, you are meddling with something you obviously don’t have basic understanding of. more importantly, you are damaging the person you’re trying to “help” in serious and long-term ways. misophonia triggers chemicals that in excess are extremely harmful to the body, and cause a whole mess of problems. since these chemicals aren’t being used by misophonics, they just run through our system and cause damage. not to mention having your misophonia triggered, is a legitimately traumatizing experience.
hope this cleared some things up.
