the point to katniss becoming the face of the rebellion is the fact she’s the girl on fire.

when a fire starts without proper attention, the blaze spreads and suddenly becomes so large you’re unable to tame it, that is katniss.

her rebellion started with volunteering for prim at the reaping, and if she didnt realise it, it could still be interpreted as making the point that the rules to the hunger games were cruel and unreasonable, her outburst at the fact her 12 year old sister may have to fight alighns with that, however, this had a credible excuse as just being out of love.

katniss had so many instances which shmbolised defiance to the capitol, and kept getting brushed aside because there was an excuse, and when her rebellion became too big to ignore it equalled her fire being too out of control to tame.

there are plenty of tributes who couldve been the face of a rebellion, however their metaphorical fire was put out before any change, as their actions were blunt in defiance to the capitol, take johanna refusing to sell her body, all snow had to do was kill her family to put her fire out, and she didnt continue fighting because she had nothing to fight FOR.

thresh, cato, coral, reaper, lucy gray, sejanus, could’ve all been faces of the rebellion if they hadnt been in the games/died. it’s sad that it took some of them all to compete before they understood the madness and cruelty of it all, but that’s how they get away with it.

SUNRISE ON THE REAPING DISCUSSION!

Why it CANT be in haymitch’s perspective.

I’ve seen people using the excuse that we already know what happens in haymitch’s game because in catching fire they watch all the tapes, however there’s more to it.

1. Revisit of characters: i’m hoping to get more on tigris from these games, more about her work as a stylist and what couldve lead up to her being fired and the reason to why she got so many surgeries (even though we know snow made her get them it’s still some insight)

2. We already have 2 stories about winners from district 12: TBOSAS was in snow’s perspective and the first three books were in katniss’, that means the next perspective to have is as if we are a game watcher ourselves.

3. MAYSILEE!!: Maysilee is kind of the queen who started it all, even though she’s NEVER mentioned in the movie she still holds an impact. She was the friend of Katniss’ mother and the okder sister of Madge’s. We deserve to get an insight on their life in the nice part of town, i dont think there should be much because there’s still not enough to write about her, but i’m thinking one chapter or book part will be dedicated to all of these people from when they were young.

i wanted to speak on the tiktok trend of casting young haymitch and i took to tumblr to calm down my anger. why are people casting random attractive white men to play haymitch that look nothing like woody? the main point of thg casting is to take people who are able to look gritty and ordinary but also attractive, casting male models as a 16 year old boy from the dirtiest place in all of panem is a horrendous choice. 😐😐

Katniss x Peeta > Romeo x Juliet

i love comparing everlark to R+J because katniss was just a 16 year old who wanted to protect her sister and peeta was a 16 year old with a huge crush on the girl he was sent into an arena with to fight other kids to the death. Like somehow suzanne managed to outdo shakespeare when it came to the concept of star-crossed lovers, she explored it deeper and made it much more dreadful than them simply being from two feuding families. if you strip THG from all it’s themes and focus only on the romance, it runs laps around Romeo and Juliet in terms of romantic tragedies

it’s always irritated me how jules was the most hated character of season 2 and lowkey the entire series, and this is literally just because she’s trans. people putting the blame on her for rue’s relapse is a big red flag also, and if her and rue had split up on good terms, rue wouldve still relapsed, which is a dangerous mindest to rely on someone to keep you sober, yet no one realises this. people hate her for cheating on rue which i can understand, yet a character like cassie recieves pity and understanding for her actions like she isnt aware of what she’s doing. it’s unfair and to he honest i use people’s opinions on euphoria characters as a reflection of their personality
