Oh my GOD this book was absolutely insufferable, I hated every page of it and I will not be bothering with book 3 bc holy shit

this post is me complaining about iron flame so if you don’t wanna see that keep scrolling

okay, what is it about this book that makes it so… awful? the sentences are unnecessarily long, the spice is so out of left field, the pacing is weird??? like there’s a big huge thing that happens and Jen the next page is “the weeks went slowly and blurred together and stuff happened and blah blah blah here’s something vague about the luminary and translating the journals”? Like please tell me I’m not the only that feels this way

Genuinely annoyed at how impactful Kaladin’s arc has been to me.

szeth skipping his fourth ideal and becoming the law, firing his spren, then getting incapacitated by ishar's depression beam and immediately overshadowed by kaladin swearing his fifth ideal in a halo of stormlight and windspren is conceptually very funny to me
