hey ! I'm still working on it, though I only started writing again recently (a slightly insane few months with exams and personal issues meant I physically and mentally didn't have the time). I have 1 conversation to finish and then I need to check for continuity errors and bugs and then ch1 is good to go. partly it's also on me wanting it to be the best it can be but ngl I've accepted that I'll probably find issues with it the moment I release the chapter and so be it lmao.

anyway tldr yes I'm working on it (finally)

finally finished writing route 2! I need to go back and edit, add in some paths/scenes that I've been ignoring and code it but the bulk of the writing is done for chapter one :)

hello! I'll keep this short. I'm still writing, I'm just slow and busy and trying not to fail this year. something possessed me to add another scene to route one for some reason??? I also took a couple of weeks without writing because I hit the stage where words genuinely stopped functioning/even looking like words which is wild to experience. anyway, words now look like words again. I debated posting route one seperately but because the route split is between going to asha's/brontë's in the prologue it didn't feel fair to do so - please excuse the long wait. that's about it :)

happy new year! I've finally finished the first route through the chapter and while it (definitely) needs editing I feel less overwhelming dread about it which is always good. the second route is in progress and coming along nicely. that's really all i have to update - there are some asks marinating in my drafts that I will finish answering at some point. hope 2024 is treating you all well so far !

hello! apologies for the radio silence on here, I've been very busy the past few weeks. Got a new laptop so hopefully that'll help with writing as I no longer have to wrangle my chromebook into letting me download software (its a nightmare). I've done some writing - I think chapter one will be good to go in jan/feb time - but mainly I went back and replanned the chapter because I was writing in circles and getting annoyed at myself. I feel much more secure in what I'm writing now so hopefully that'll speed things up?

hello! I'm about halfway through the first route of chapter 1 at the moment - it's quite slow going as I'm in a intense part of the year, so my free time is very limited. still working away at it, though.

Sora facts please 🙏

they're banned from at least half a dozen places in esurio. the majority of those are their fault.

Enforcement hates them. mainly because they arrest sora but then can't do anything with them because technically they're acting within the bounds of their licence (or they're good enough at lying to make it seem like they are.)

on a related note, they once ran into a bush at full speed while trying to escape from Enforcement.

they have a younger brother, though they're no longer in contact with each other.

if they were represented by a card from the major arcana, they'd be justice.

if you like the beach, there's one to the west. I wouldn't swim there though.

anything below level 3 (other than the tunnels, but they're not really a level) is inaccessible.

the levels themselves get smaller the further down you go. almost as if they're being slowly compressed. doesn't help that much of the structural earthquake damage was to the lower levels.

central exchange marks the unofficial divide between upper/lower esurio.

What was your inspiration for this story?

I was rewatching cowboy bebop and was struck w the inspiration to write about space smugglers. somehow that turned into cyberpunk? some of the characters already existed as npcs for a ttrpg that never happened but I really wanted to use them. it's really an amalgamation of so many ideas that bounce around in my brain like marbles.

hello ! I've had a couple of fairly insanely busy weeks with real life responsibilities so I haven't done a ton! but ! chapter 1 is planned and I've started writing it. honestly we'll see how long it takes but rest assured I'm working on it. also, looking at the results from the poll I'll work on implementing a brontë/sora poly.

You can feel yourself detaching from the situation as you inspect the body.

Hiii!! I think the choices on this page are mixed up. For example, When you choose to feel detached, the MC reacts in shock. But if you choose 'heart in your throat' MC seems to be detached and looks over the body.

Idk if the first choices are also mixed up or not but i'd check over that area.
