nara did not want to think that she was unlucky as she was found by none other than kaelys in one of those rare moments she felt miserable, but she couldnât help, but think it. nothing personal, she just simply despised being seen in a moment when she felt weak, but the rationality of kaelys seemed to be exactly what was necessary for her. â i am not drunk ! â nara stated, catching her voice suddenly grow louder. â whether youâre going to dislike it or laugh, doesnât really matter since itâs all the same to me, â the girl corrected and crossed her hands glancing around the dark corners of the stables, hiding from their eyes. â i-itâs fucking timur. i will not be his salt wife anymore and i should feel pleased about this arrangement ending, but i am not. iâm jealous and pissed off. â she felt as though a part of the heaviness has been lifted off her shoulders as she raised her hand towards kaelys. â now please give me the lecture that i need. â

she laughed and then pretended to ponder on it. âonly if you want it to. i am sure a trip in the skies would do you some good.â but despite saying this, visenya knew vhagar were not likely to accept anyone other than her family to ride on her back. her dragon was fiercely stubborn. âlet us go explore the outskirts of the woods together, maybe we will see some wolves.â she was excited by the prospect, her dagger tied to her body as always if need be. âi already miss kingâs landing. even being forced to breathe same air as aedar is better than being bored in winterfell.â the only good thing about this trip was that her oldest brother had not joined. xavion knew visenyaâs feelings about the king, he knew how frustrated that she was with the betrothal. the one she did not dare break in fear of who aedar would tie her to next. her only hope was that lord dondarrion broke it off, she can do then pretend to be sad about it and ask for more time before getting betrothed again. âi even brought wine!â she opened the satchel she was wearing and revealed the wineskin. âand itâs dornish, so never say i donât treat you.â
â itâs been too long since you saw me throw my guts up last, has it, vi ? â xavion joked, though even the thought of being so high up in the air and his life quite literally being in the hands of a beast he knew nothing of made him feel some type of way. the lord would have definitely preferred to relive their teenage years and exploring their limits, when it came to ale and wine over it. â and you are certain the arrival of your dragons has not scared off the wildlife for miles ? â he questioned, wondering if wolves would stick around, when all their potential food have scattered. â weâll be lucky if we see anything. â he did not want to be as pessimistic as he sounded, and it was a good thing visenya had a talent for bringing out the more optimistic side in him. â you donât have to pretend with me, we both know itâs not the boredom. iâm sorry youâre unfortunate enough to start to understand why i had been so damn miserable. â xavion did not feel pleased that this was something that the two could now bond over. as naive as it was, he would have wished her an arrangement she would not detest. â wow, you really must have missed me. â

freja looked at nara with a bright smile and nodded. âi love strawberries!â she exclaimed, eyes widening. lukas knew she was already thinking about how many she could eat in one day, but before she could even ask him anything, he shook his head, holding up two fingers as a reminder that she could only have two pastries. it was only when his daughter nodded, despite pouting, that lukas looked over at the baker.     â  three strawberry jam pastries and- â    he paused, glancing over at nara.     â do you want something too? â    he didnât have much of a sweet-tooth himself, but his friendâs words clearly suggested otherwise about her.
nara let out a giggle at the little girlâs reaction and stood up to look at all the different pastries up for sale. â i do not. seems that i have reached my limit already, â she responded with a smile, letting him finish the transaction while still keeping an eye on his daughter. it seemed shocking to her how much attention such a tiny human asked for, considering the fact that she could not do so many things on her own and it was so easy for her to get hurt or swooped by the crowd. â she seems to be enjoying winterfell a lot, but what about you ? â she questioned him once he had settled the purchase.

her thoughts had turned from the book the moment she had heard his voice, with ferah looking down at it in surprise.  â you have not, â she assured quickly, pushing it further down the couch and nodding.  â of course you may sit with me. come, i just asked for more logs on the fire. â which ferah was grateful for as she was sure that she would be blushing soon just due to his presence and nothing to do with the heat that had warmed her. in the months since they had begun their correspondence, she felt as though she understood him and his position better, which had been confusing for her own feelings. emotions that she had ruminated on, afraid to tell her siblings about and only spoken in riddles when she did feel bold enough to coming to a head in a way she wasnât sure she was prepared for. â i have not been to the gardens yet, but i have heard that they are beautiful, and heated. i was told of the winter roses, and i wish to go and see them at some point. did you visit when you first arrived ? â ferah asked with a smile, which dimmed only slightly at the mention of his son. one of the many reasons she had ended their correspondences in the first place. â oh ? has he made a snow angel, yet ? i think he would find that to be far more fun. â Â
his nervousness seemed to fade away with her encouragement to join her. during the time of their correspondence, there was a lot of anticipation on his side whether their connection would remain similar to how it felt in those words. xavion was gaining back that confidence that let him listen to his heart and admit his secrets to her in the first place. the lord joined ferah on the couch and glanced between the fire and her with a smile. â there will be the two of us here now, pehaps it should feel at least a bit warmer, â he pointed out. â i have not explored them fully as you seem to know more about them than i. the part i saw was outside and covered in snow, â he smiled. â i truly did not even think there would be a heated garden, but iâm glad such thing exists for you to enjoy. â xavion reached for the book she had pushed closed and away, but only for having a reason to touch her, as though accidentally. the maleâs eyes found ferahâs at the mention of his son. â if he hasnât, iâm sure he will soon. thereâs a lot of snow fun to be had here. â those were the words coming out of his mouth, but truthfully there were other things running through his mind, like, whether he should tell her that daelon wasnât even his biological son. in his mind, it did not matter whether he was or not, he would still bring him up as his own, but wondered if perhaps ferah suspected his honesty regarding his marriage. â i have a confession to make, â he admitted holding onto the book before putting it away slowly. â but please stop me, if you have any regrets towards me. or if i have misunderstood... i would not want to burden you. â

the second nara had entered that tavern, she was up to no good. it took way too long for her to spot soren between all of these people, especially when he was looking as though he was hiding in that corner. she immediately strode towards him the second she set her eyes on him, a content little smile on her lips. â what are you doing here all alone ? â nara was used to seeing him attached to kaelys hip, but she definitely would have known if they were also here. she knew he was the observer and liked to watch things unravel from a distance, when nara was the type to be the thing unraveling. they had an interesting dynamic. â can i ask you a favor ? â

Jacaerys shrugged his shoulders at her question. In truth, he was not expecting to see anyone in particular, there were a few people that he wouldnât mind seeing again, as they are people he considered friends, but apart from that, Jacaerys was planning on spending most of his time in Winterfell alone. Or with his sister, catching up on lost time. âNo one in particular.â He told her. âItâs was fine, tiring but nothing Iâm not used to.â He had spent most of his life travelling so he was used to it. âThere is a training ground, Iâm sure theyâll let you train there if you speak to whoever is in charge. You should find the master of arms.âÂ
naraâs brows furrowed slightly at the underwhelming answer he gave her. he had seemed quite intentive of the arrivals to her, but she did not know the male well enough to make any assumptions. â so you have travelled westeros then ? is it just to satisfy your interest or ? â she questioned, because thatâs what she did in order to know people around her better. she had become more cautious of others than usual after all that went down in the red keep. â that is the thing. i do not want to join the training ground as i want to do it as private as possible. i do not like others watching. â

nara did not see their relationship the same way that timur did. in fact, she had been way more focused on the fact that she was able to step back into her usual life, the life that she had intentionally kept behind for him. to help her friend. she was too proud and considered herself to be realistic to let herself feel the hurt towards the actions of lord blacktyde. she had done a great job at avoiding it, but it had all changed the second their eyes locked after months apart. though something in her chest stung, she knew what the right thing for both of them was. â better find a way to keep warm. iâm sure northern furs will look dashing on you, â she responded and turned to look at him. â as usual. i had only missed out on some havoc my younger brother has been causing in pyke without me, â she let a smile slip her lips about the fact. â and how was the reach ? was your time there everything you had hoped for?â
