When: Monday, May 29, 2016 from 4:30 to 6:30 pm US Eastern time / 9:30 to 11:30 pm London time / convert to your local date & time. (Wander in anytime.)

Where: The Unlocked Con Suite chat room

How it works: I’ll stick a (virtual) piece of paper to your (virtual) forehead to assign you the identity of a Sherlock character, and you’ll have to figure out which character you are by asking questions with “yes” or “no” answers. You can choose how easy or difficult you want your turn to be. Participants who only want to watch and give clues but not take a turn guessing are also very, very welcome.

This game is one of the favorite events from previous UnlockedCons, so come join in the fun!

Party this weekend?

Heads up that I’m planning to set up a mega-watchalong (and maybe a few other activities) this weekend for everyone staying home on the internet while the Sherlocked con is happening in London.

BUT details probably won’t be up until Friday I day morning at best because I have had a really rough few weeks and am basically dead on my feet.

Apologies for not having everything arranged sooner, but trying to stay awake for even one more hour earlier this week would probably have been a dangerous endeavor. (And a mega-watchalong schedule alone takes several hours, so wish me luck staying up late after work tonight!)

I expect we’ll be able to do the full @unlockedcon experience again this spring to coincide with Sherlocked US. Which really makes a lot more sense considering there will actually be a new series to discuss then.

It’s time for another Sherlock Mega-Watchalong Weekend!

This weekend we’re watching all of Sherlock three times in a row*, and chatting about it in The Giant Chat of Sumatra.

The Mega-Watchalong will start on Saturday, September 5th at noon UTC / 8:00 a.m. US Eastern time (convert to your local day/time), and anyone is welcome to join in.

Once the Mega-Watchalong starts, just grab your copy of the series and check the schedule to find out when to press play for the next episode in the marathon. There will also be a timer for each episode in the schedule, so if you come in late you can fast-forward to the same part everyone else is at.

Since the Mega-Watchalong goes on for a very long time and through all hours of the day and night, there may not be anyone else in the chat room some of the time. Feel free to drag your friends in, or just wander in and out and meet new friends who happen to be online when you are. Have fun!

* Important note: You should not actually watch all the episodes on the schedule. Please take breaks to eat, sleep, go outside, etc.
