hey! real thing...idk if anyone is gonna see this bc i never post but...
is it weird that whenever I share something with someone, i have the urge to cry or impulsively want to restart?
like i had a tumblr account before this, but once i joined a discord server from another fandom and they started following me on tumblr, i couldn't bring myself to post or write so i deleted it. it's weird bc i know they like the same things as me but i can't help but feel judged in the back of my mind even though i know the people are so sweet and they would support me. idk how to fix it tbh
anyway rant over..

LITERALLY I WAS JUST LISTENING TO A SONG THAT REMINDS ME OF QUARANTINE WHEN I CAME ACROSS THIS POST AND I REALIZED HOLY SHIT ITS THE DESTIELPUTINELECTION ELECTION DAYkjacsdkj
f
anyway i started bawling...i still had my old blog, my old moots during that time before i deleted my old stuff
WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED ON NOVEMBER 5TH AND WHY IS TUMBLR FREAKING OUT I AM SO CONFUSED
Oh, bless you for not knowing haha
November 5th 2020 was one of the most absurd days in internet history, and frankly, in overall history.
So the world is trembling over the US election right. The votes are being counted, everyone is on edge and even over here in Europe, people are holding their breath because whoever wins this election could change the earth as we know it. Around that time, the third wave of Covid hits (I think), and sends us all back into lockdown.
Then, on Nov 5 specifically, there's this moment where Nevada's votes could make all the difference (that's why sometimes, Nevada pops up in the shitposts too). And Nevada is slooooow. The results aren't coming in, and everyone is constantly checking for updates. Also apparently, Georgia and Pennsylvania are turning blue (democratic) for the first time in ages (or ever? don't know, I'm not that familiar with US history) but anyway, it's unprecedented.
On the same day, the romantic relationship of Dean Winchester and Castiel (Destiel), two characters of the show Supernatural, becomes canon after 15 seasons...but in a really weird way that is dissatisfying to most of the fandom (I think. Not in that fandom either). Now the fandom in itself is huge though, one of the biggest fandoms on Tumblr ever, and there's this sort of massive Spn renaissance happening that just consists of...complete disbelief lol.
On top of that, rumors of Putin's resignation arise, being widely spread through the Supernatural fandom's Destiel shitposts. This, again, could change world history if true.
And at this point, everyone's just going crazy-town banana pants.
Because of the sheer absurdity.
AND I LOVE IT.
Because one person summed it up in the following sentence that went viral and honestly explains best what the heck happened on that day:
Tumblr media
And this sentence MAKES ME COME ALIVE. Because DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY FACTORS HAD TO WEIGH IN FOR SOMEONE TO UNDERSTAND THIS REFERENCE????????????????
It's a meme consisting of at least 5 other events to explain the 5th of November feeling. The peak comedy being that this is the first sentence of "My Immortal", the worst fanfiction ever written, implying that November 5 2020 reads exactly like that.
It's a cultural treasure, that's what this is.
And I'm just like...WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE. WHAT A TIME TO BE ON TUMBLR. WHAT AN HONOR TO WITNESS THAT TRAINWRECK OF THE US PULL ITSELF OUT OF THE DIRT AND LIVE ANOTHER DAY. ALL IN THE MIDST OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. FAITH IN HUMANITY RESTORED. RELIEVED FOR ALL MY US MUTUALS.
HAPPY DESTIELPUTINELECTION DAY ANON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yelena’s Diary
Yelena Belova X Fem!Reader
Prompt: Natasha finds Yelena’s diary which results in the contents of the diary getting revealed to you.
WC: 1.7k
Tumblr media
Warnings: siblings threatening to kill each other
__________
She should’ve known better. As the greatest spy and assassin in the world with a sibling with a similar title, she should’ve known that unless that diary was sewn to her body, Natasha was somehow  going to get her grubby hands on it.
“Give it back, Natasha!” She hisses.
They were like school girls, things that Yelena would only ever see happening in the American TV shows, not between two assassins. Natasha flips through the pages, while simultaneously dodging Yelena’s efforts to retrieve the book.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk. How many chapters are you going to spend complaining about the team and complimenting Y/N?” she questions.
“Natasha, I am not afraid to stab you!” the younger sister threatens.
“Do it,” Natasha challenges. “I bet you’d love to explain to Y/N why you felt the need to stab her favorite Black Widow.”
“-you are not her favorite Black Widow!”
“Just because you wrote it in your diary doesn’t mean it’s actually true-”
“Stop it!” Yelena screams once more. This time she pounces on to her sister’s shoulders. Natasha wildly spins knowing that Yelena was seconds away from putting her into a choke hold before throwing Yelena on to the bed.
Natasha paces away, flipping through the pages and gaining a few more paragraphs before her sister would rush to attack once more. “Who taught you to draw a heart like that, Lena?”
The younger widow pouts. “Give it back, Natasha!”
That’s the thing about older siblings. They’re a menace.
At this point, the two widows were running through the compound. The blonde chasing the red head with no one to stop them. No one except-
The elevator door opens, revealing you. You just returned from your mission only to see Natasha trying to evade Yelena who looked ready to murder her. You raise your eyebrow, noticing how they were far too busy trying to fight each other that they didn’t hear the elevator door.
Your eyes dart to see Steve walking past you with a book in his hand. Tapping his shoulder to get his attention, you gesture towards the widows. “What happened?”
Steve only lets out a laugh, shaking his head. “Yelena’s been chasing Nat for hours.” He explains before leaving you to your thoughts.
As amusing as it is to watch the two widows play a game of cat and mouse, you figured that it was time for the two to reconcile as you carefully approach them, making sure not to get too close just in case Yelena decides to throw a knife at Natasha and you aren’t able to dodge it in time.
Eventually you get close enough, crossing your arms, fighting the amused smirk that was forming at your lips. When you let out a cough, the fight instantly stops. Natasha smiles brightly when she sees you, almost too brightly. Meanwhile, Yelena looks more horrified than she is happy. Part of your heart wrenches as to why she looks so disheartened to see you. She was always happy to see you.
“That’s enough fighting for you two, don’t you think?” You suggest, eyes darting between Yelena and then Natasha.
Natasha glances at Yelena, nodding, “I agree.” Her response only earns another glare from the blonde widow.
“How was your mission?” Yelena asks you.
You shrug, “Standard.” Your eyes catch at what seems like a journal in Natasha’s hand. “I didn’t know you journal, Nat.”
Natasha holds the book up, the smile on her face becoming more mischievous. “Oh me? Oh no,this isn’t mine. This is-”
“Natasha stop! Don’t you dare ruin this for me!” Yelena hisses.
But just before Natasha can say anything, Yelena pounces on her. Your eyes widen at the violence and Yelena’s sudden persistence. You knew if you didn’t act now, the floors of the Avengers facility might be painted red. So your arms grab Yelena’s shoulders and you pull her until her back is flushed against you.
“That’s enough!” you bark, trying to get the two siblings to stop.
Yelena almost instantly relaxes in your hold. It wasn’t your first time holding her. In fact, you’ve hugged her many times before whether it be before missions when you return home from missions or whenever she’s upset. Your touch was like an instant sedative.
This one especially.
Natasha sighs in relief, but her hand was still clutching the book. When she meets eyes with her sister, she notices how Yelena almost looks like she melted into a pool of her own love for you. Regardless, you pull Yelena away, dragging her to her room before things get worse.
“Oh here’s your book Yelena…” Natasha teases, handing the book to her sister. Yelena quickly snatches it before you could get your hands on it. You know better than to ask questions seeing how pissed Yelena was. You figured that you would have a chat with Natasha as to why she’s going through her sister’s belongings later. For now, you need to make sure Yelena has cooled down.
The two of you are now sitting in your room. Yelena is laying in bed while you are getting changed into more comfortable clothes. The book is held protectively over her chest. It seems to be super glued to her like she didn’t want anyone seeing what was inside.
“So…is there anything in that private journal I don’t know about?” you tease while slipping on your pajamas.
The blonde blushes profusely, “no,” she speaks a little too quickly.
“I’m not pushing, Lena. I was just curious,” you shrug. “You’re allowed to have your own private thoughts.”
Yelena looks at you for a while. She’s been doing that a lot recently where you would notice her gaze on you seemed to linger longer than expected. It made you curious at what was going through her little head.
Eventually, you plop yourself on the bed next to her and, like many other nights before, you two bask in each other’s presence. You found her shoulder comforting, so you lay your head there, too, observing her reaction intently. To your surprise, you feel her muscles visibly tense for a moment before easing into your warmth.
“Is everything okay?” you ask her suddenly.
“Everything is fine,” the assassin dismisses. “Just stop talking…”
Of course, her dismissive attitude made you just slightly more worried. Yelena was your best friend. The only time she was ever like this is when she’s afraid of something but she’s too scared to tell you. Just like the time she was secretly afraid of the sound of thunder so she actively avoided Thor and also tended to blast your music louder than usual during a storm. You knew just as well as Natasha when something was wrong with Yelena.
“You can tell me,” you whisper in the silence.
“I can’t.” Yelena whispers back, her voice small. “This is different. I-I can’t share it with you.”
You pout, looking over your shoulder to see her expression. “Why?”
“Because it’s not a good idea.”
You frown, “Do you not trust me?”
“This is different,” Yelena emphasizes more. “It will change how you look at me.”
A sigh escapes your lips as you lean into her shoulder more. “If it’s another assassination regret, you know I would never-”
“No…it’s not that.”
“But it’s bothering you,” you reason.
“No it’s not.”
You know better than to keep questioning Yelena knowing she wasn’t going to relent so you two continue to sit through the silence. You would give many things just to see what was going through her head right now or what was written in that journal of her’s that she wasn’t allowing you to see.
Part of your heart might know, but your brain looked at your denial and turned it into cold hard facts.
“If you started dating someone else, would you leave me?” Yelena asks suddenly.
“What?”
The blonde assassin nods slowly, “Would you forget about me?”
“Why would I forget about you? You’re my best friend-”
The word ‘best friend’ seems to only upset Yelena further in the way her eyes fall. You see it right away and you stop talking.
Yelena sniffles. “I don’t want to be your best friend. I want you to like me. You know? The one where you draw hearts around our names!” she blurts.
Your jaw goes slack for a moment in complete disbelief. “Y-Yelena…”
The blonde turns away from you, not wanting to face you or the consequences of her words. But you are quick to put a hand on her shoulder.
“Lena look at me…” you whisper gently.
Slowly, she turns, but her eyes don’t quite meet yours. “I ruined everything, right?”
A soft laugh escapes your lips as you shake your head. “No…no you didn’t. Would it be hard for you to believe if I said I liked you back?”
It takes a moment for the blonde to process. She didn’t even think she heard you right the first time. “M-me?”
You nod slowly, “yes you, dummy.”
If she wasn’t so enamored by the realization, she would be pouting, but hearing you say those words cause her eyes to light up like a Christmas tree. You pull her close to you.
“I like you too, Lena. I was also scared that if I told you I would ruin things,” you admit.
“Really?” Yelena questions in disbelief.
You nod slowly, “Really…”
You feel Yelena lean into your touch which allows you to press a soft kiss to her forehead. You couldn’t help but notice the smile that paints the blonde assassin’s face. It was like a schoolgirl who just found out her crush liked her back.
As you both enjoy each other’s company, another thought crosses your mind. “Wait Yelena what did you put about me in your diary?”
Yelena starts blushing as she buries her head into your shoulder. “Nothing.”
“Do you draw hearts around our names?” you tease.
“Stop it-”
“Will you let me see what you write about me in your diary?”
“No.” she says firmly, burying her head more into your shoulder.
For the rest of the night, the two of you enjoy each other’s company. A smile painted on both of your faces.
__________
OKay guyyysss i got hella lazy at the ending bc I couldn’t think of shit, but I hope you enjoy this anyway. Also, I totally havent had this sitting in my files for like 8 months...I hope everything is well with yall. Have a great day/night and rest well!

MY HEART EXPLODING
The Setup Kate Bishop x Reader
Summary: Yelena knows Kate has feelings for you but won't ever act on them on her own. So being the best wing woman she can be she forces Kate into some interesting situations with you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Yelena where are you? I'm ready for extraction" Kate whispered in her comms. She wast trekking through the woods doing her best to stay quiet, but still move fast. The mission almost without a hitch breaking into the sketchy billionaire’s home was fairly easy. The retrieval of the little black notebook was a bit more complicated considering. The notebook was pretty simple in looks and there was nothing special or distinctive about it, and the man had a lot of notebooks. Eventually after causing minimal damage to his home office she stumbled upon a tiny secret safe behind a painting. Because of course the notebook would be hidden in the most cliche spot possible.
It took her sometime to crack the code, but once it was done. There was the goods waiting for her to snatch them up, and disappear into the night. Leaving behind no trace of her appearance and that's what would've happened. If she had accounted for the cliche alarm system that sounded off the second the safe was opened. It alerted all ten bodyguards who initially Kate didn't see a point in rendering unconscious. Because the whole point of this mission was to remain unseen and unheard, Yelena told her if she really was as good as she thought she was. Then it wouldn't be a problem and Kate accepted her challenge ready to prove how much she has approved as a spy. Now here she was regretting that decision running through the woods from her pursuers. Who from the sound of the all the tree branches being snapped from heavy footfall was gaining on her.
The highway couldn't be much farther away, but she didn't bring her own getaway vehicle, because Yelena promised her the extraction part was already taken care. But so far the only answer she got from comms was more static. It had her wondering if she did something to anger the blonde, and this was her getting revenge. Letting her believe she was going to to get captured by the bad guys, only to swoop in. At the last minute to save the day was something Yelena would totally do.
"Stop your inner panicking Kate Bishop your ride will be waiting for at the road. She has your coordinates and is only a minute out from your location. If you pick up the pace you might beat her" Yelena's voice came through the comms.
Kate let out a breath a sigh of relief leaping over a fallen tree in the path. She landed on her feet and kept going. No time for rest not when the road came into view just a few feet away. A roaring engine revving filled the air, and a light came into view as well.
Who exactly did Yelena send to pick her up?
Not even a minute Kate got her answer when you brought the motorcycle to a stop right at the beginning of the path. You weren't wearing your usual mission suit instead you sporting a more casual look. Black skintight jeans, a white shirt with a small cut at the shoulders revealing some skin, and black leather boots. The helmet was covering your face, but still Kate knew it was you. She would know you and your style anywhere.
Kate paused a few feet away from you with a look of confusion.
"Kate what's wrong? Get on we got to go" You told her leaning forward to see behind her. The bad guys weren't in sight yet, but you could hear their pursuit. "We don't have a lot of time."
"Um where am I suppose to um you know-" she let her voice trail off shooting you a nervous smile.
"Just climb on behind me and put your arms around my waist. We'll be fine I won't crash I promise" You said.
Oh she was going to kill Yelena because no one else was responsible for putting her in this predicament but her. Kate dashed over and climbed on behind you. She placed her hands on your waist but only just gripping it.
"Kate no you need to get a better grip put your arms all the way around me. I don't mind" You explained eyes focused on the woods.
"Oh right" she replied with a nervous chuckle. Her arms wrapped around your waist, and her hands clasped together resting on your stomach.
"Tighter" you demanded.
Kate took a deep breath before constricting her arms all the around your waist. Which in return forced her to close the gap between her body and yours. So now her front were pressed up against your back and her chin was resting on your shoulder. Not wasting another second you revved the engine, and the motorcycle went peeling off into the night.
Thirty minutes later you were pulling into the Compound's garage with Kate still clinging to to your waist. You sat up straight taking the helmet off. "You can let go now if you want to."
"Oh right" Kate let out a nervous chuckle removing her arms from your waist and scooting backward giving you space. It was a good thing your back was to her because her entire face was red right now. "Hey thanks for the save I owe you one."
You shook your head. "No problem next time you need a partner just let me know."
"I thought you had plans tonight" she replied gesturing to your attire. You were dressed for a night out in the city.
"I mean yeah I did but it's you Kate if you had asked. I would've dropped those plans in a heartbeat. My night was going sour anyway when Yelena called you know." You said with a shrug finally climbing off the motorcycle.
Your comments just made her blushing worse and she was glad that. You didn't stick around to further the conversation even more. It was Yelena who brought her out of her train of thought just a few minutes later smacking her shoulder. "How did the recovery go?"
Kate have her shoulder a harsh shove. "You set me up and you know it. No more shenanigans okay just leave it alone." She was really starting to regret confiding in the blonde about her feelings for you. Even if Yelena picked up on the little things herself. Kate could've still denied it but now it was too late.
"Then go tell her how you feel right now" Yelena demanded.
Kate went pale at the idea shaking her head profusely.
"Good then we do this my way" Yelena concluded walking away with the archer behind her protesting.
The next setup came a few days later at a restaurant. Kate invited Yelena out for lunch and they were seated in a booth. Both of them choosing to sit on the opposite side across from each other. The waiter came by to get their drink orders. It was when Yelena ordered two drinks Kate got suspicious.
"Who's the second drink for?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.
Yelena just shrugged her shoulders with a knowing look on her face. A second later you slid into the booth next to Kate throwing your arm across the back of it. "Did you get my drink order?" You asked nodding in the blonde's direction.
"Yeah the server just came by you're right on time" she replied leaning back with a grin.
"Oh hey Kate you don't mind if I sit here do you" You greeted her turning your head to the side.
"No you're all good" the archer answered way too fast becoming really interested in the menu all of a sudden. She brought it up to her face blocking your view of her redden cheeks. She wanted to stab Yelena with a fork.
"Its cool that I invited y/n right Kate Bishop I remember you telling me you forgot to do it, and figured she had plans" Yelena said.
Kate moved the menu down far enough so her eyes were visible to glare at the blonde. But then her eyes turned to meet yours which were shinning with amusement. "Yeah its cool I'm glad you could make it y/n."
"I'm glad to be here I don't know how many times I have to keep telling you. If you need me for something, or just want to hangout all you have to do is ask."
Her blush got even worse if that was possible. Inside of her head Kate was freaking out trying to figure out. How she was going to make it through the entire lunch without giving her crush away.
The waiter returned a few minutes later ready to take orders, and for a second she got a breather as all three of you ordered your food. Of course Yelena got a side of mac and cheese, but surprisingly she ordered an actual meal. A crispy chicken salad with all the dressings on the side. The blonde insisted she had to try all of them to see which one she liked, and if all else failed she would just use hot sauce.
You ordered a burger with fries and a side of buffalo sauce for Yelena in secret. It seemed crazy to you that with her love for hot sauce, she had yet to taste buffalo sauce yet.
Kate ordered the personal pizza and decided to keep her menu in case she wanted to order something to-go later, or dessert. In reality she wanted to continue to use it as a face shield just in case.
And it was a good thing she did because not even five minutes after the waiter left. Yelena let out a huge yawn stretching her arms and legs. You scooted over closer to her Kate to make room for the blonde to prop her legs up on the bench. It was really a tight squeeze because she had still had plenty of space by the window. But your body was close enough to hers where even the littlest of movement would have your leg brushing up against hers.
"Are you comfortable Katie?" You asked turning to her.
She gave you a quick nod still hiding her face.
"Really because you seem a little nervous am I too close?"
Never in all truth you weren't close enough is what she wanted to say, but didn't have the courage. "Its fine" she muttered with a smile.
Yelena shot her a quick wink while you were distracted by a ping on your cellphone. Kate wanted to angry with her for putting her in another compromising position with you, but she couldn't help the little smile on her face, or the glint of hope in her eyes.
The food would be brought to the table twenty minutes later, and you would pass Yelena the buffalo sauce for her salad prompting the blonde to push all the other dressings to the side, and order more buffalo sauce.
"Just wait until she tastes buffalo wings she's going to obsessed" Kate whispered in your ear.
"Okay but who isn't obsessed with buffalo wings its like the perfect comfort food that goes with any occasion" You whispered back with a grin.
"Hey what are you two lovebirds talking about over there" Yelena demanded to know.
"Wouldn't you like to know" You shot back
"Um yeah I would that's why I asked y/n" she stated in slight confusion at your response.
"Its between us two lovebirds you'll find out one day."
Your words had Kate's face red as tomato but you were too busy diving into your food to notice.
A week went by without any setups courtesy of Yelena, and part of the reason was because you were sent on a three day mission. But on your return she did take the time to put together a welcome-home gift for you, and gave Kate all the credit. Well except for baking the cupcakes considering baking was not the archer's specialty. The last time Kate tried to bake a batch of chocolate-chip cookies. They came out hard as brick despite the fact you nearly lost a tooth eating the one she gave you to try. You finished it and the other four she brought to you immediately after.
Yelena on the other hand took one look at frisbee cookie and refused to even taste it. So you ate hers as well insisting that she play along so Kate's feelings wouldn't be hurt. It was crazy because that was the moment Yelena decided. You had to have hidden feelings for the dark-haired girl, otherwise you would've had no problem being honest with her.
But other than the welcome-home scheme things had been quiet, and Kate found herself missing the unexpected unofficial dates with you. She was at the point where she was going to ask Yelena if she had given up, or maybe it was worse. Maybe the blonde discovered you were already in a relationship.
Kate figured that was something she would know about you with the two of being partners and roommates, but then again you could be secretive when you wanted to.
She came up with a plan to regroup with Yelena after the movie tonight. A new action flick had hit theaters just a day ago, and Yelena was excited to see it. Going to see a movie in theaters was perhaps one of the blonde's favorite activities. She got to hang out with her friends, but didn’t have to deal with the pressure of maintaining a long and normal conservation. Something she still struggled with from time to time.
Kate let out a huff in frustration with the breath becoming visible in the cold of New York. She had been standing outside the theater for the past thirty minutes waiting for Yelena to arrive. She texted the girl more than three times and was left on read. Her eyes scanned the busy street bustling with hustlers, families, and people on the go. Searching for her familiar face getting out of a cab, or maybe exiting a Subway entrance. Heck she even looked towards the tall buildings to see if Yelena had chosen to scale one of them, and make a flashy appearance. It definitely wouldn't be the first time, but still no sign of her.
The archer was ready to call it quits when finally a familiar face did come into her line of vision. It wasn't Yelena though.
It was you.
Dressed in a pair of comfy black joggers, a long sleeved white cotton sweater with a black puffer jacket for an extra layer of protection. A white scarf was wrapped around your neck, with a black beanie to top the outfit off. It was such a simple look but the way you rocked it made it more stylish.
"Y/N hey I didn't know you were coming" Kate greeted you trying not to sound too excited.
You flashed your beautiful smile and went in for a quick hug that made her stiffen for a moment a bit nervous. "I know its because I'm filling in for Yelena again. She said something about a stomach flu from eating bad fish, and asked me to tag along so you wouldn't be flying solo" You explained.
Kate fought back the urge to scoff already knowing the blonde was fibbing. Yelena didn't even like fish. She should've known that the games weren't over, and Yelena had still been plotting all along. But once again Kate couldn't bring herself to be back angry or even annoyed. She was just appreciative of the fact that she was spending more time with you.
"This didn't get in the way of any of your plans did it?" Kate asked with a slight frown.
You wave her question off with a snort "of course not, and like I keep telling you. I would drop any plans for you in a heartbeat Katie."
"Right you did say that" She muttered dropping her head as heat rose up on her face. Could you go a single day without making her blush?
"Come on the movie starts in five minutes." You grabbed her by the hand pulling her into the theater. It wasn't until two hours and a half later after the movie was over, and the two of you were stumbling down the streets of New York. Going on about how awesome the movie was, and it was fun to just do normal people stuff.
Kate realized you were still holding onto her hand, and you had never really let go. Except for the few times the two of you had to separate because the space was necessary. Maybe you had forgotten or just did it out of instinct. You were a pretty affectionate and protective person, so it could be your way of keeping her close just in case something happened.
But a tiny voice in her head was telling it was something more. It was your subtle way of revealing your feelings for her, because just like her. You were too nervous or scared to come out and say it outright. You had to like her the way she liked you, or Yelena wouldn't be pushing you and her together so much if you didn't. While the former assassin was fond of pranks, and Kate was her main target most of the time. She wouldn't be that cruel.
The tiny voice urged her to make a move now there would never be a better time than now. She couldn't let Yelena do all the work, eventually Kate would have to take the initiative. So mustering up all the courage in her body.
She did just exactly that.
A small gasp of surprise left your mouth as your body was tugged to the side, and backed into deserted alleyway. You opened your mouth to ask Kate what was wrong. Eyes looking around in a panic for enemies in the shadows trying to ambush the two of you. But there were only a few non-threatening pedestrians walking along the street. Not paying either of you any attention just focused on getting to their destination, and out the cold.
"Kate is something wro-" Your words were forgotten on the tip of your tongue. As Kate pressed her body closer to yours moving her hands down to your waist. You looked up to meet her eyes which were filled with love and desire. The emotion came off her in waves, and nearly overwhelmed you.
"I know this might come off a little too strong but I want you y/n. I want to be with you more than I've ever wanted anything in my entire life. Got damn forget wanting I need you y/n I don't know what it is about you, but ever since you walked into my life. I just find myself thinking about you all the time."
Kate took a deep breath pausing for a bit choosing her next words carefully. "I'm falling way too fast and way too hard to keep silent anymore. Alright I can't keep going on feeling this way without knowing if you feel the same."
You stood there listening to her pour her heart out, and confess her feelings. Not giving anything away with your facial expression which remained neutral, and that scared her a little bit. But still she kept going, and now here it was your turn. The moment of truth and instead of giving her words. You gave her action leaning forward to press your lips to hers.
The surprise kiss caught her off guard and Kate pulled back almost immediately with a small frown. You matched her but more so in confusion and annoyance.
"Wait does this mean you like me to."
You let out a exasperated sigh gripping her hips tightly, and pushing off of the wall to turn her around, and pin her body to the wall. She let out a small yelp at the sudden change in position. "Bishop I'm so beyond liking you, and while I don't have the right words to describe my feelings for you. I'm more than happy to show you if you would let me."
Kate barely nodded before you planted your lips back on hers in a fiery kiss that had on her tippy toes. Her hands gripped your waist a little tighter until it wasn't enough. The little gap between yours and her's bodies was a bother to her. So she fixed it constricting her arms around your waist bringing your body flush to hers. You cupped her face between your hands deepening the heated kiss.
There was enough heat to light up both of you with a fire. Just like that the harsh-biting cold was just a after thought as your scarf came undone hanging off your neck. When Kate brought a hand to the back of your neck, as she pulled away for just a second to turn the tables again. Pushing you back up against the brick wall as the one kiss turned into a slow and passionate make-out.
You weren't too sure how long your lips stay attached to hers as you, and Kate got lost within each other. You poured your heart into every single kiss letting her know you wanted her just as much. No you weren't good with your words all the time, but you were a hella good kisser.
It was your phone going off that brought you and Kate back to the world of living. At first both of you noticed as her lips parted for your tongue to enter her mouth. But then a few seconds later hers went off as well, and finally Kate pulled away digging her phone out of her pocket as you trailed kisses down her cheek to her neck.
It was Yelena.
"Um y/n its getting dark and I think Yelena is starting to worry oh wow." she said pushing down a moan when your lips found a sensitive spot.
You pulled away with a smirk. "I'm saving that spot for later, but yeah we should get going before she gets worried, and comes out to look for us."
"I thought she was a sick" Kate joked stepping back letting you off the wall.
"Oh please we both know that was a lie, and she's been playing matchmaker from the start." You told her with a knowing look in your eyes before walking away.
The revelation left Kate frozen in place as she processed your words. You just admitted to knowing what was going on the entire time. She had to jog to catch up with you. Her hand slipping into awaiting one with ease. "Wait why didn't you say anything if you knew this whole time?"
"Because I was a bit scared all these feelings is new to me Kate, and I didn't know how to come out and just say it. So when Yelena started plotting I just let her figuring something would come from it eventually."
"So you felt the same way about me this entire time?" Kate pressed you.
"Did the pass twenty minutes not answer that question for you?" You responded in disbelief.
Kate thought about for a second before turning to you with a hint of mischief. "Not really I might need an encore."
You grinned "I'll give you as many encores as you need Bishop."
And when the two of you finally arrived home after getting an earful from Yelena about answering your phones. In the future when she called for a check up. You pulled her into a privacy of her room kicking the door shut, but not before giving the blonde a quick thumbs up.
You gave her the encore she asked for, and later she would fall asleep in your arms but not before hearing the words leave your mouth.
"I need you to Katie."
Kate didn't need to hear it, but it just made everything more perfect.

At least someone got something good out of this 💀
After the events of Endgame”, we had:
1) Wanda trapping innocent people in her fanfiction
2) Sam and Bucky fighting left-wing terrorists while dealing with racism, political corruption, and therapy
3) Alternate Loki learning about the horrible truth of the multiverse
4) Clint trying to stay retired, but had to relive his various traumas during Christmas time
5) Thor losing the love of his life to cancer
6) Peter Parker losing his aunt and being forgotten by literally the entire universe
7) Strange watching his former love, Christine, get married, and then traveling through the multiverse to stop Wanda
8) Shuri and all of Wakanda dealing with the death of T’Challa and conflict with another nation
9) Bruce going back to space to get his son back
So everyone was having a tough time due to personal problems and reliving traumas. All this to say that it’s hilarious that Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne were the ones that came out of “Endgame” as the true winners. Based on the marketing, Scott and Hope have become beloved celebrities by selling their Avenger stories (which helps explain all the Ant-Man love in “Ms. Marvel” and “Hawkeye”).
Of course, Kang. But that’s a new issue. Before Kang arrived, it looks like Scott and Hope were absolutely living their best lives.

Trying Really Hard
Kate Bishop X Fem!Reader
Prompt: Kate really likes you despite the two of you being really great friends. Unfortunately, you also caught the attention of famous billionaire Lena Luthor. When Lena starts giving you gifts, Kate takes it upon herself to do the exact same, doing her best to outdo the other billionaire.

Warning: nothing
_________________________
Kate had always liked you. Ever since she joined the Avengers and Clint had introduced her to you, she was head over heels. Despite being all bubbly, she was nervous to be around you at first. But that would all fade away because it seems the two of you instantly clicked. It was an unnatural chemistry where friendship bloomed so quickly. All of it only made Kate more and more awestruck with you, the crush growing more and more inside of her. Yet, despite all of the build up, she never made her move to make anything more serious.
It would all change one day. You were in a seemingly happier mood, a mood that was different from the one Kate had seen. Sure you were happy, you were always happy around her, laughing at movies together, messing with Clint Natasha and Steve, making bets as to Kate’s archery limits. This was different, the smile on your face had different intentions behind them and it wasn’t helping that you were holding flowers in your hands.
Kate was playing with the hung up dartboard in the living room, Carol was watching tv, and Wanda was reading a book. All activities cease when they see you. Carol, raising an eyebrow in slight concern, “What’s gotten you so giddy, sport?”
You shrug your shoulders, trying to play the excitement off, “nothing.”
Though your response wasn’t enough to convince the three of them. Wanda tilts her head at you, “is it because someone gave you that book you always wanted?” She asks.
You could feel the heat rising to your cheeks as you shake your head vehemently, “stop looking into my head,” you wine.
“I didn’t need to, your thoughts are loud enough,” she replies making herself and Carol laugh. Meanwhile, Kate just sat there, heart violently thumping her blood and fingers playing with the dart to try and distract her.
“So, who’s this lady?” Carol asks curiously, “Is she cool?”
Without warning, Kate intervenes in on the conversation before you could speak, perking up from her seat to face you, “Are we still up for bowling later?” She asks you.
You purse your lips, “Not today actually, but are you free tomorrow?”
Her words get caught in her throat for a split second. You would never skip out on activities with her, not unless you had a mission. And last time Kate checked, you were clear for the whole week. Maybe it had something to do with the woman who was clearly flirting with you. Not wanting to push it further, Kate just accepts it, “yeah, I can make time.”
“Sounds good,” you say with a grin.
You leave with the widest smile on your face, but what you hadn’t seen was the disappointment that laced Kate’s, the hurt expression.
“Are you going to do something about that?” Wanda asks.
“Hell yeah, I am,” she retorts, getting up from the couch to go to her room.
_________________________
Later on that day, she had gone to her family business, searching through files and files of people. It didn’t take long for the name to show up on the Bishop security profile. Lena Luthor. Of course. She’s the technological genius billionaire, borderline Tony Stark. The other band of heroes living on this earth fighting metahumans while she fights everyone else. From what she recalls, the Luthors, specifically the other parts of Lena’s family, were involved in responsible for a lot of metahuman atrocities and they were extreme narcissists. If you were to end up dating Lena, your head was definitely going to be on the plate of many of her enemies and that thought didn’t sit well in her stomach. That and she doesn’t like the idea of another billionaire flirting with you, especially one who doesn’t deserve you. The last time Kate checked, Lena only knows you because you’re part of the gang of avengers. She doesn’t actually understand you.
The thoughts that were persisting almost made Kate break the keyboard. No. She refuses to lose the love of her life to some rich woman with a sketchy family.
She manages to find the best roses the city could offer. Today was the day she was going to tell you everything and she just hopes you feel the same exact way. She struts into the main lounge where you normally sit reading a book or watching a movie with one of the other avengers. Instead, she was met with Natasha and Clint who were both watching some reality show. The two’s attention becomes fixated on Kate when they notice the flowers in her hand.
“Are those for me?” Natasha quips jokingly.
“No, that’s for her pre-school crush on Y/N.” Clint retorts making the two laugh even harder.
Kate rolls her eyes at both of them. She waves the flowers close to her chest, “I’m going to tell her once and for all.” She beams with pride.
Clint raises an eyebrow, “Is it because of that Luthor lady? The other genius billionaire? Yeah, some competition we got here.”
Natasha gently whacks him, “I think Kate’s got this in the bag. That woman can give Y/N everything but she can’t win Y/N’s heart,” she encourages.
Clint blows a raspberry “Yeah, don’t get her hopes up, Nat.”
Kate lightly glares at Clint, “thanks,” she retorts sarcastically.
He gives back a joking thumbs up.
The conversation suddenly ceases when you walk through the other side of the lounge. Kate immediately hides the flowers behind her back.
“Hi, Kate,” you say with a smile, “Nat. Clint.”
“What brings you here, kiddo?” Clint asks. He then eyes something in your hand, instigating his curiosity, “what’s that?”
You pull out a box, “oh this?” You ask, “Yeah, Lena got me some tea bags from Italy. Her friend flew there for her.”
Kate could feel the lump growing in her chest. Natasha glances at the tea box for a while, “some friend.”
You laugh nervously, “yeah. You can say that.” You point towards your room, “anyway, I should put this away now. Kate, don’t forget the movie starts at 6 and we still have to head to the cinema.”
It takes a second for Kate to come back into reality, her mind circling in multiple different directions. It wasn’t until she felt your warm hand on her shoulder, she snaps out of her thoughts, “what? Oh wait. Yeah, yeah. I’ll be ready by then.”
You smile at her one last time before disappearing to the quarters. Somehow, you didn’t notice the roses that she was hiding behind her. Speaking of the roses…
“Hey, what are you doing?” Clint questions.
They watch as Kate opens one of the garbage lids and out of nowhere, she angrily stuffs the flowers inside. It catches both Natasha and Clint off guard.
“Those were nice flowers!” Clint replies.
“Not anymore,” Kate retorts in defeat.
He gets up, noticing that the young Avenger needed some comfort. He gently pats her shoulder. “I’m sure her super friend can’t get something outside the planet. You have Carol, ask her to get you something as a favor?”
“-and Wanda and the rest of us,” Natasha adds.
The feeling of motivation builds back up inside of her, “You’re right! Clint, Nat, you genius!”
“Uh, it was my idea,” Clint corrects.
Without warning, Kate springs outside the living space.
“What do you think she’s planning?” Clint wonders in concern.
“Probably going to make Carol get her some space device,” Natasha replies.
He grunts in disproval, “kids these days.“
_______________________________
One moment your room was empty, the next, it’s filled to the brim with gifts. You don’t understand what you did to get Lena Luthor’s attention. You met the woman once at one of Stark’s gala’s because Stark needed someone to occupy the guests, so he had chosen you. The next thing you know, you’re getting chocolates, tea, and gifts from all over the planet. You weren’t complaining though, but you were starting to get worried that Lena was probably doing all of this to court you, an idea that didn’t come into mind until Yelena pointed out that you were about to be knee high in chocolate.
At the same time, Kate wasn’t helping to the gift giving capacity either. Out of nowhere, she started giving you some lavish gifts. It started out as small trinkets from around the world, but that would start escalating with the world’s rarest books for you to read, meteorites from other planets which only questioned where Kate was buying these things more. Yet, the cardinal difference between Lena’s gift giving and Kate’s gift giving is that Kate’s only made you feel even worse about yourself. You didn’t have anything to give her back and with all that you two had gone through, she was such a good person to you, and if you ever needed anything you could always rely on her being there. That and her gift giving was also making this whole feeling thing a little more dangerous. Kate’s gifts were personal, thoughtful, proof that she listens to you, and it was getting harder and harder to deny the feelings you had for her.
________________________________
“Are you kidding me?” Kate groans, slamming her head on the refrigerator door.
Carol, who was sitting by the countertop eating her cereal gives Kate a quizzed look. “What?”
Kate throws her hands up, “Apparently Lena’s going to ask Y/N on an actual date, now.”
“Shouldn’t they have gone past that step yet?”
“No, they better not.” Kate glares. She looks through her phone, “Apparently Lena’s going to fly her in one of her private helicopters around the city.”
Carol scoffs at the stupidity of the idea, but when she turns to look at Kate, she notices the small glint in her eyes. Kate was going to buy herself a helicopter. “No, Kate. She doesn’t need that.”
“Yes, yes she does,” she replies adamant.
“Why would you want to copy Lena’s idea?” Carol argues.
Kate pauses for a moment, “Fine, then let’s use one of your spaceships.”
“You can’t even pilot one!”
“Someone can teach me! I can one up her. Why show her the city when I can show her the whole world?” Kate replies.
Carol groans heavily, “why can’t you be simple and take her somewhere nice?”
“Space is nice! It’s cool!.” She practically gets down on her knees, pouting, "Please Carol? Please? For me?”
If it weren’t for the fact Carol was on Team Kate and that she also didn’t want you associating yourself with the super friends, she would’ve definitely said no. But because she also likes happy endings, she agrees, “Fine, but you better make this your final.”
Without hesitating, Kate extends her hand for a shake, “Deal.”
__________________________________
She takes in a deep breath, anticipation coursing through her veins. Today was the day. This time, along with the supplemental spacecraft that she managed to get from Carol, she also managed to get you a nice box of chocolates, nothing fancy, but they were the box of chocolates she knows you like. She finds you in your room on the phone.
“Hey,” Kate waves.
You wave back before pointing at the phone in your hand. You were on a call with Lena making Kate wait there patiently. You watch from your peripheral vision as the young Avenger bounces on her heels while gripping an inconspicuous box in her hand. A heavy sigh and murmurs later, you end the call, running your hand through your hair.
“Is everything okay?” She asks.
You shrug your shoulders, “now it is.”
“Well, I got you something to make you feel better,” she says. She outstretches her hand before lifting the box cover revealing all of your favorite chocolates.
“Oh Kate,” you say with another heavy sigh. “It’s okay, you can have it.”
“What? No, this is all for you,” she says adamantly. “That’s why I got it all in your favorite flavors.”
You shake your head vehemently, “Kate, how am I supposed to pay you back if you keep getting me more and more things? Especially if some of them are above my pay grade?”
“You don’t have to, that’s why it’s a gift.”
“Then that just makes me a bad friend,” you argue.
She pouts, slight annoyance coming into her veins. A friend? Seriously? "You never make efforts to pay Lena back.”
"That’s different. She was trying to court me, but I don’t like her back,” you reason, "You and I are friends. I would be a bad friend if I don’t have anything for you.”
Kate doesn’t know what provoked her to speak up, but hearing the word ‘friend’ attached to her name was irritating her. “Well, what if I don’t want to be just friends? What if I’m giving you these things because I want to get you the best things so I have an excuse to see you more? What if I want to see you all flustered and smiley whenever I give you something that you genuinely like because, unlike Lena, I actually know you?”
It was all too late for Kate to take the words back. Your mouth gapes open, stunned at her words, “-Kate.”
Your reaction only stung her more, “You know what, I get it if you don’t like me back. Let’s just pretend none of this happened and you can go on with whatever you were doing-”
Her eyes were starting to sting and tears were getting ready to fall down her eyes. “Kate, wait!” The pain was more than any punch, shot, or kick she could take. She begins walking away, getting ready to bleach her existence from your life. Yet, she feels something grab her hand, forcing her to stop where she stood. She turns and you were right in front of her. “I didn’t know you liked me back, too. If I knew, I would’ve told you the moment you started getting me these things.”
She quickly wipes a tear from her face, but when she processes what you said, her eyes shoot up to look at you, “What?”
You place a hand on her cheek, “yes, I do. You want to hear me say it?” You ask, softly. “Because I love you.”
Without warning, you feel your lips collide with her’s. Her hands wrap around your waist and your hands fling to your shoulders. The both of you are enveloped in each other, moving together in a steady rhythm. When you both pull away for air, her forehead rests on yours. “I love you,” she confesses, “like I love you a lot.”
You laugh softly, before melting more into her grasp. She lets in a happy sniffle.
“Oh and Y/N,” she starts, “now that we made it clear that we like each other, do you want to go on a space trip with me? Just you and I looking at Earth from afar?”
You raise an eyebrow, “Is this because you heard that Lena was going to take me on a helicopter trip around the city?”
“Please? I had to convince Carol to teach me and let me fly one of the quinjets.”
You pull her into another kiss, “yes Kate. I would love to.”
