This is the correct take. Two things can be true. She has done many things that I as a black woman will forever side-eye her for *cough* getting married on a whole ass plantation despite being aware of the connotations *cough*. Buuut I still believe and stand with her
i still don't like blake lively. never have, never will. i 100% believe her though. i feel like this is gonna be one of those things where people disregard whatever allegations are made just because the person making them can't be painted as the 'perfect' victim. which is dumb as shit cuz like yeah blake seems to be an asshole but even people you don't like can get ass4ulted.

Louder for the fucking clowns in this province
The cognitive dissonance of listening to someone bitch about the lack of services in Ontario in one breath and spend the next one lauding our current premier.
I truly cannot understand how you do not see that this man has stripped our province for parts in order to pay off his friends and cronies. And he will continue doing it as long as ppl keep voting for him because he promises beer for a buck (that never happened btw) and canceled our license plate registration fees (this costs the province millions of dollars in lost revenue btw, all of which could have been used to help fund necessary repairs to schools, hire nurses, and the social welfare that many ppl in this province rely on).
That you have been on a waiting list for three years for a funded round of IVF is a direct result of the fact that Ford has completely obliterated Healthcare spending in this province in favour of building a highway to nowhere (so he can make sure his developer buddies get lotsa prime greenbelt real estate) and spending billions of dollars to demolish the lcbo ahead of schedule (the beer store is the actual shitty monopoly), among other things.
"Do better, Ontario!" you say, as if you and your votes for Doug Ford are not why we are in this fucking mess in the first place.
I cannot stand the voting public in this province. Why did none of you pay attention for one (1) hour of civics classes?

Its almost like Israhell has been lying the entire time
Israel claimed Yahya Sinwar was hiding in tunnels beneath hospitals and among women and children.
The truth was, he faced them head-on in Gaza while Israel targeted civilians and bombed hospitals, schools, refugee camps, and markets.
Israel has only immortalized him. Fearless, armed, and leading from the front, face-to-face—no retreat, no hesitation, no hiding.
Yahya Sinwar was born in 1962 in a refugee camp in Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip. His family were among more than 700,000 Palestinians who were displaced during the 1948 Nakba, at the hands of Israel.
He resisted and fought for his people till the very end. What a legend.

Let me tell you a little about Multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is an autoimmune disease, which means that the immune system starts attacking some part of the body. In the case of MS, the immune system attacks the central nervous system. If you didn't know, the central nervous system includes the brain and spinal cord, and as you can imagine, damage to that can have disastrous effects on your ability to function. Damage often happens in "attacks", and symptoms tend to get worse over time. The symptoms that damaging the central nervous system can result in are so numerous that it has its own wikipedia page (Signs and symptoms of multiple sclerosis), but to list a few that may occur: fatigue, difficulty walking, incontinence, blurred vision, cognitive impairment, depression, speech problems, hearing loss, tremors, and pain.
MS cannot be cured, but there are treatments that can prevent it from getting progressively worse, and reduce relapse rate. This is incredible news, except these treatments can be prohibitively expensive...
Now, I want you to imagine having to deal with something like MS while living in Gaza, and all that entails, for over a year now.
I want to tell you a little about Hala Daoud. Hala is in her 40s and has three children: 17 y/o Osama, 13 y/o Lana, and 9 y/o Mohammed. They are living in Gaza, with all that entails, and Hala has MS.
I'm sure you know, but the healthcare system in Gaza is all but destroyed. The only chance Hala has to get this treatment is to travel to Egypt, and then pay for the medicine all on her own. The medicine costs $12,000 for a single dose, and getting through the border is not cheap either. If she cannot do this, her health will continue to deteriorate and she will be left permanently disabled.
Her fudraiser was created all the way back in May, but she has only raised €2,274 out of her €17,000 goal
In the last ten days she has only had four donations. Please, do not let her be forgotten💔

it is truly almost incomprehensible that israel's week-long bombing of lebanon is the most intense aerial campaign in the 21st century, outpacing the american bombing of raqqa and anything russia has done. it's insane. all carried out with the full agreement of the US government

winter is returning to gaza which means white phosphorous acid rain, polio infected sewage flooding, and bitter cold with no shelter. tents are not enough.
siraj's family has 10 children in it, many under the age of 12, two newborns, and two elderly people who are susceptible to disease. his mother has diabetes, which anyone knows needs frequent monitoring and medical care. he and his family just recovered from skin infections and he doesn't want to see them suffer from all the disease the winter will bring.
siraj found a place to rent but its 1400 CAD a month. the lease lasts 6 months - he needs to raise $8400 CAD / $6253 USD as soon as possible before winter gets really ugly so he can secure his family's safety.
siraj is trying to rebuild his life. he doesn't want to let the zionist entity kick him out. he's staring this genocide in the face and telling them he doesn't care what they do, he's not leaving.
yet, he's really far from his goal. and things are moving really slowly. i don't know how many times i can repeat this same information. things change but the brutality of what they face stays the same.
please donate and share

the tradwife movement is the same as it has always been - back in the kitchen, back to breeding - it just has better branding.
when i was younger, i hated pink. i was not like other girls. this is now something i'm embarrassed of - this was not me being a "girl's girl."
but it was expressing something many of us felt at the time: i literally wasn't what girlhood was supposed to be. this is a hard thing to explain, but you know when you're not performing girlhood correctly. it isn't as easy as "i liked x when girls liked y" - because there were other girls that liked x, too - but i never figured out exactly the correct way to like x, or to be interested in y.
now there is the divine feminine. this is the same rhetoric it has always been: women are biologically driven to like pink and ribbons and submitting to our husbands.
the problem is that the patriarchy found a better PR team. because yes, actually, i want every woman to have the choice to be a homemaker. i also want her taken seriously for her legitimate home-making labor. i want her to be recognized as also having a job, just unpaid. i want men to have this opportunity, too.
but it is no longer "i made this choice and I love it." instead it is a sixteen-paragraph rant about how selfish it is that my generation isn't having kids. instead it's long videos about how if you feed your children processed foods, you're going to kill them. instead it is "this is what womanhood is supposed to be. i feel bad for any other choices you're making."
the shame spiral is just prettier. it is large houses devoid of personality. it is the implication: if you don't have this, you aren't happy. the solid, everlasting assurance: women are actually supposed to be submitting. this is the default. this is the natural state of things. all other attempts inflict suffering.
but you can no longer say i'm not like other girls. you can no longer reject this image completely. you cannot find it revolting, even if you know that the underbelly is toxic and festering. sure, it is the same repackaged patriarchy. but the internet does not have shades of grey. you should support and reward other women! your disgust is actually internalized misogyny. not because you are seeing a vision of yourself the way they're trying to train you to be. not because you feel her ghost pass within an inch of your earlobe. not because your father will eventually ask you - why can't you be like her?
because they figured out how to make it beautiful: women will sell other women on this idea, and we will find the singular loophole in feminism. sure, she's shaming you in most of her videos. sure, she implies that a different life is obscene. but she just wants you to be happy! you'd be happier if you were listening!
and the whole time you're sitting there thinking: i'd actually just be happier if i had that kind of money.

The workers at my beloved Art Gallery of Ontario are on strike!
Despite rampant inflation in one of the most expensive cities in north america (Toronto), the management at the AGO hasn't adjusted pay for over 400 union members since before the pandemic. Most of them are part timers doing jobs that should be (and used to be) full time. Many are 'temporary' part timers despite being there for years.
These workers literally run the building. It's straight up closed because these people turn on the lights, hang the art, sell the tickets and clean the building.
The union negotiated with management for TEN MONTHS before management forced a piss poor final offer past the negotiating team to the membership.
The gallery is crying poor but yet they've taken on an expensive rebranding project and are working on a huge 10 storey addition to the building. Not to mention in 2020-2021 (during the peak pandemic struggle for most huge tourist attractions), the CEO Stephan Jost, took in almost $400,000 on TOP of his regular $400,000 salary in 'consulting fees' from the AGO foundation.
The Gallery workers' union, OPSEU, has asked the public to write Stephan Jost and let him know that we wanna see the Gallery actually negotiate with the union and get the gallery back open, and I just so happen to have found his email address on a convenient flyer: [email protected].
Idk about you, but I'm gonna go ahead and tell him to go sit his ass down at the negotiating table because I love art and I want the gallery to reopen. Considering this is the unions and communism website, I cordially invite you to get his ass too.
Tldr: Union workers at the AGO are striking so that they can literally afford rent. Email their greedy CEO and tell him that you want management to negotiate with the union and you want to see the gallery reopen. Email: [email protected]

Ontarian friends, please sign this petition. The Ford government is ending wastewater surveillance which is genuinely one of the dumbest fucking things they could do, and for no remotely justifiable reason. The program is not expensive as government programs go, and it is one of the ONLY ways we can monitor the presence of harmful pathogens in our communities. It's one of the last "we have the tools" tools for çóvïd monitoring available to us, too. Scrapping this program is one of the worst ideas this crackpot government has sharted out.
