The 87th Academy Award Ceremony better known as The Oscars initiated in the year 1929 with only an audience of 270 people and only 15 awards to give out it wasn't until the fourth ceremony that awards started to be given to actors and it wasn't until 1957 that the oscars started to grant awards to foreign movies, now the 87th award ceremony was held  February 22nd of 2015. This year these prestigious ceremony took place at the Dolby Theatre, in Hollywood, L.A. Presenting the 24 awards were the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science, the commemoration being hosted by the actor Neil Patrick Harris. The award show was broadcast internationally, televised in the united states exclusively by ABC. This year the award ceremony had an amazing series of performers such as Maroon 5, Rita Ora, Anna Kendrick, John Legend and Lady Gaga

Memoriam Tribute 2015

This year’s memoriam was introduced by Meryl Streep, including a musical performance by Jennifer Hudson. 50 names were comprised in these awards including Lauren Bacall, Ruby Dee, James Garner, Elizabeth Pena, Luise Rainer, Mickey Rooney, Robin Williams and many more. We may have not been in the Dolby theatre but even from miles away we could still feel the loss and sadness of our lost ones. Although, the oscars created a great outrage by omitting Joan Rivers (comedian and director) it appeared on numerous headlines and social media went wild wondering what had caused this mistake.  But if one thing is for certain we shall never forget these legends and their talent shall live forever. May they all rest in peace wherever they are.

LADY NOSTALGIC

SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME TISSUES AND A TUB OF COOKIE DOUGH ICE CREAM BECAUSE Lady Gaga had us all in tears during her tribute performance to The Sound of Music at the academy awards, making of nostalgic and completely shocked with the change in her performances, she sang flawlessly and brought back beautiful memories of our childhood. Not only did she sing with grace on stage she looked absolutely gorgeous upon it, rocking the stage and making it her own. We are excited and looking forward for any of her future performances.

MAROON 5 HAD US LOST IN THE STARS AND FLYING TO THE MOON.

Maroon 5 performed at the prestigious event on February 22nd their song “Lost Stars” that was written for the movie Begin Again. Adam Levine the lead singer of this band once again managed to make our jaw drops with his amazing high notes and emotions that he put on his performance. The execution was absolutely flawless and its safe to say Maroon 5 has not disappointed.

Another year, Another Loss.

Leonardo DiCaprio first nomination for The Oscars was in 1994, and even though there are numerous actors that have also been nominated various times and have yet to win a oscar Leonardo seems to be the centre of focus in social media banter. We suspect the media has put him as the centre of their jokes is because in his entire career Leonardo has managed 56 nominations but only has won 6 of them. Yet we would like to mention that the majority of these jokes are not cruel in any way some have even been supportive jokes and to some point most of the internet wants him to win. Leonardo may not own an oscars but its safe to say he owns the internet. Surprisingly enough Leonardo has told certain insiders that he is really moved by all the people on the internet wanting him to win an oscar, but to be honest he does his job because he loves it not to win awards. Which only makes us praise him more, I mean its hard to find someone who isn’t a sore loser these days. So yeah Leonardo may have not won an award yet again this year but the future is still ahead and DiCaprio we are cheering for you!

He hosted and he slayed!

When it was announced that Neil Patrick Harris was the one who was hosting theOscars 2015 we all wondered the same thing “How on earth is he going to topEllen?”

 Well I think its safe to say that he did, giving the Oscars his unique sense humour and his own special touch 

The opening act along with Anna Kendrick and Jack Black had us on the floor in tears of laughter, not only was the script amazing but the special effects were just stunning, and if you weren’t the same way I have one thing to ask you. How does it feel to be humourless? His interaction with the audience and slightly dark humour kept us on our feet and gave a light vibe to the ceremony.

Sadly enough Neil has stated that he does not plan on ever hosting another Oscar award ceremony, but we do wish to see him soon whether it’s on our TV screens or the big screens

TOP 5 BEST-DRESSED MEN AT THE OSCARS

Atthe top of our list of hunky men handsome misters we have our leadsinger of Maroon 5 Adam Levine with a simple black and white tux, making girls faint all around the world.

Number two on our list is JARED LETO yes you heard right ladies jared leto did not only look fantastic with his jesus hair and amazing beard but he pulled off the lavender suit looking as handsome as always.

Third on our list is Eddie Redmayne who besides taking an Oscar home we are sure he took some hearts with him too. Looking fabulous on the red carpet with a midnight blue and black suit or is it white and gold? LOL okay its definitely blue and black and looks absolutely gorgeous on this man.

Ladies and Gentlemen you can all rest safely now because not only is Chris Pratt guarding our galaxy he is also looks stunning while doing so. And this is why he has rightfully earned spot number four on our list.

Bernie Cumberbottom? The man with a thousand names on internet Benedict Cumberbatch shows up on the red carpet rocking the two tone dinner suit and the bow tie.

The one and only Emma Stone has blown us away with her always amazing looks on the red carpet with her Elie Saab backless dress, that highlights all her features in such a good way, which is why we have granted her number one on our list!

The beautiful one and only Jennifer Lopez stunned us with this gorgeous dress by the Elie Saab who has yet again made another one of our celebrities look outstanding on the red carpet and may have broken a few hearts along the way, making her way as the Second on our list of best dressed.

Third on our list would be Sienna Miller wearing Peter Copping, beautiful execution with the dress I must say, Sienna has managed the simple but effective look and or that she has earned her spot on our list.

Next we have another gorgeous blonde in black known as Margot Robbie wearing Saint Laurent she killed it on the red carpet with her simplicity and has melted our cold hearts with her beauty granting herself a fourth spot on our best dressed list.

Last but not any bit less beautiful we have Rosamund Pike wearing Givenchy Haute Couture the floral design giving her a sweet type of look yet the slit in the middle making her look edgy, i guess they were right good girls are bad girls that haven’t been caught.
