I had a dream where I had to create a system that would construct all the gimmick blogs and polls out of raw ingredients. Sort of like Factorio, except I was making polls to post instead of science to research.

There were also three new gimmick blogs: a blog dedicated to updates on this tournament, a blog dedicated to detecting skulls, and a blog dedicated to detecting the skull detector blog. The skull detector detector was explicitly an error: there was a small chance you would produce it instead of the skull detector itself.

The person running the updates blog (not me!) got married to the person who was running the skull detector, who deactivated it (as a result, I think?). Then, the person running the updates blog just changed its url to the url of their new spouse's late gimmick blog and started detecting skulls like nothing happened.

theres a phenomenon that happens on here i have been calling "normalize loving parents posting" which is when you spend a lot of time on tumblr and are exposed to a lot of one specific counter-cultural narrative day in and day out until you start to forget what the dominant ideas are for most of the human population and thus feel the need to "defend" things that are widely accepted and popular. it's called this because of the time a bunch of text posts about shitty dads were circulating and then people with good relationships with their dad didn't feel included enough and started making "uhmmm can we normalize loving parents? not everyone has a deadbeat dad, MY dad is great" type posts, seemingly forgetting that good relationship with dad is a cultural norm that is expected and encouraged. i think its good practice, especially when im annoyed, to stop before i hit the post button and ask myself if this is a real issue or if im normalize loving parents posting. because often im about to try to normalize loving parents

Queerplatonic does not mean and has never meant "more than friends". Reducing qprs to "non-romantic and non-sexual relation that is more than friends" is not accurate at all of the wide variety of relationships that might be qprs. For one, qprs can contain elements of romance and/or sex as much as the people in a give qpr are comfortable with. For another, "more than friends" just shows that you haven't done any work to deconstruct amatonormativity. Weaving a relationship hierarchy into the general definition of any type of relationship is amatonormative. This doesn't mean you can't value your own personal relationship as "more than friends", it is general statements about the inherent values of different relationships that is the issue.
