New AU Fic!

The 4th entry in the Celestial Shift series, "Bedtime," has been posted! Fair warning, this one has a bit of a time skip from the last story (like six-ish years). It features Sun, Chloe, and their three kids. It's on the shorter side, since I don't know how to write kids didn't want it to get too complicated, but I think it's a nice little fluffy piece.

If I read self-insert fanfic, I don't usually imagine the "reader" character as me. Y/N is just some mystical creature. They're invincible, they're fragile, they're the smartest and/or dumbest person in the world. They can befriend any hero, or defeat any villain (sometimes by befriending them, as well). They have infinite faces and infinite names, yet none at all. Sometimes they hold the key to saving the world, or destroying it, other times they're just trying not to get fired from the local cafe. While I cannot imagine myself in many of these situations, I do sometimes find myself wondering how Y/N will solve them.

Hello!!! I just read the newest chapter of As Long As We Are Loved and I really liked it!! I love aquariums. This chapter was very comforting...But, I actually had a hypothetical lore question! I love crafting, and making plushes, and I was wondering if the process of making a doll for oneself would contribute to the amount of time and care needed to bring them to life? Happy International Fanworks Day!

Sooo I guess February 15th is International Fanworks Day, according to AO3. While I don't have any postable new chapters or stories finished, I have been working on a couple of my wips this week. If you want to learn more about my wips, finished stories, ocs, etc., then please leave a comment on this post, or an ask in my askbox! Today's writing research rabbit hole led me to the popularity of basements in different U.S. states.

Basically, they're more popular in northern states, because the frost line is so low that they have to build deeper foundations anyway, which makes it more cost-effective to build basements than in the warmer southern states. Certain areas are also more or less likely to have basements due to the local soil, rocks, water table, etc.
