And rather than being salty about it or trying to one-up her they just help her in her time of need and always try to humbly return the favour and be her ally. So rather than having the thought process of "ugh I can't believe a girl saved me :/" it's "wow I can't believe such a strong and pretty girl was willing to use her power to help me!" (The right line of thinking tbh)

characters like gicheul just break my heart. he lost everything, his friends betrayed him, the only person who he thought was on his side has never been on his side at all, love of his life was someone that would never choose him. he never even had a chance did he? if a dead end was a person it would be jung gicheul.

The worst of evil is that even "evil" humans can have good in them, even bad people have someone they cherish and care about; people they trust and that trust them. The worst of evil is that even if you're "evil" you can be betrayed by those you care about.

The worst of evil is that good and evil are just words used to describe one thing: humans. And humans are never just one thing and we saw exactly that, especially when Gicheul said he would pick a more simple life if he could go back in time in contrast to Junmo that said there was no turning back for him since he had done all that already. Does that make Gicheul 100% good or Junmo 100% evil?

It doesn't and I feel like that's why it ended like it did. No one won, in the end everybody got hurt and one of them died. Gicheul died and he was right, that would follow them forever because they both cared about him. He's dead and they parted ways.

Wi ha Jun is such an amazing actor!? That scene where junmo pointed the gun at him in the car, his eyes oh my god his eyes the betrayal the "et tu brute" the way his heart shattered. All of the emotions on that second were in his eyes, the way they welled up the way he just frooze. Now ik it's such a bunch of grey characters, both were murderers one protected by law, the other not. But they were playing with so much trust it was so heartbreaking.

Just thinking about how Gicheul wears a cross on his neck and even has a crucifix on his bedroom wall but refused to step foot inside the church as if he doesn’t believe he’s good enough to be in such a place. And how Junmo avoided visiting his mother-in-law for essentially the same reason. She was the only one in Euijeong’s family who was kind to him and saw only good in him even when he didn’t think he deserved it.
