so in stardew valley

i uh

got 4 consecutive bad luck days.

new luck story

so stardew updated yesterday, and this morning i unlocked the mines.

on the 2nd floor, i found a gem node. and got a diamond. on the very first day i unlocked the mine.

1.6 finally released on switch (thanks concerned ape :D)

and

i made a new save

and

got the cat

and

randomly generated the name like over 100 times

and

ONE OF THE RANDOMLY GENERATED NAMES IS GOKU

new video game luck story

this one is actually from today

so i went down to my basement to play on my wii u after probably 1-2 years of not touching it. booted up minecraft. created a new world. spawned RIGHT next to a jungle temple. went through and in the first chest that has the dispensers, 3 diamonds. the 2nd one that has the puzzle that you can just break, 2 more diamonds. this is a really old version though so idk the rarity of it. anyways, later in that same world, i found a naturally spawning pink sheep.

after realizing that he can’t despawn because he’s named, i searched for him.

2 hours.

i searched every chest i have ever placed in that world, and every chest i didn’t place but that i still use for storage.

i even copied the world and went into creative mode and did /tp @ e [type=axolotl] @ s in several locations. no luck.

i looked at the wiki. i think i found his cause of death. “Axolotls can leave the water and wander about on land. When an axolot leaves the water, it wanders as far as 8 or 9 blocks beyond the water's edge before returning to the water, as long as there is water at least 2 blocks deep within 16 blocks of the axolotl. If 2-block-deep water is outside this range, the axolotl can wander off randomly on land in search of more deep water, and die after 6000 game ticks (5 minutes) exposure out of water. Axolotls are not attracted to shallow (1 block deep) water. They require water at least 2 blocks deep within 16 blocks to pathfind to the water.”

it’s not in the particular screenshot i took on his birthday, but i had a grass block in there. i think what happened was… he jumped on the grass block, couldn’t detect the 1 block deep water, and… died.

so i made this memorial for him on his well…

happy birthday to my minecraft axolotl from 2021

he shall forever be missed.

he kinda despawned or something a while back. the funniest story about him is how he got his name. i didn’t name him after bart simpson, i used broken logic. i named him bart after the word for barter, since piglins or something, idk.

i sorta took over a village like any other minecraft player, but i actually built my own house. then when i found and adopted bart, i put him in the well from time to time (making sure that he can’t escape from the well so he can’t despawn). and then i remodeled the well to be made of mushroom blocks.
