WHEN CORDELIA was growing up, her ambitions had been far higher than being a simple kosher caterer. Having learned how to cook plenty of dishes from her mother and grandmother, the girl had naturally developed a love for food and cooking from a young age. But, she had never really thought about turning it into a career. While she was one of the most socially savvy people you could ever meet, school was a struggle for her. She never truly had the attention span that it took to memorize the things she needed for her lessons. With poor grades, she still managed to graduate -- but attending university seemed like an impossible dream for her. So she followed her heart, providing food for Bar Mitzvahs and weddings like. But, when she heard what Charlotte did on a daily basis… she couldn’t help but feel as if she wasn’t making a real impact on the world and that worried her.

WHEN THE world told Charlotte Roth that she would never amount to anything, she proved them wrong. Smarter than any other girl ( or boy for that matter ) in her entire school, she was able to turn into a shining star faster than she imagined. Even if the world was riddled with homophobia and racism, she was going to do her best to show that a homosexual black woman could reach the top just as easily as any cis heterosexual white male. Blood and sweat and tears were exactly what it took for her to achieve her dreams of becoming a doctor and making a real impact on the lives of others. By saving patients, she would be helping those in need and showing off that she was fully capable and intelligent. Her life was perfect: a job she loved and a beautiful girlfriend. Although it seemed that her girlfriend wasn’t as satisfied she was and that completely broke her.

JASON’S FATHER always told him that love was the greatest thing in the world, but after all that he had witnessed within his parents’ marriage -- love was the last thing on his mind. Daddy issues are embedded within the boy far more than he wants to accept. His relationship had never been too solid between him and parents so games like chess were typically the only way to distract himself. No matter what hobby he picked up, he threw himself into it in order to distract himself his deep-rooted emotional issues. Being essentially abandoned by his father for his gay lover wasn’t a walk in the park and it left him questioning if he would end up like a homosexual like him. In order to please his mother and be ‘normal’, he participates in baseball. Though he wasn’t sure what was more painful: playing baseball or being forced to spend time with his father.

He thought that he had found all he wanted within Marvin Abrams, a sugar daddy who could provide him all he wanted and a little sex on the side was always a plus. In a rash decision, Marvin decided to divorce his wife Trina and leave his son and her behind for a life with Whizzer. Though, the moment he feels as if happiness is possible again -- he find himself terribly missing what life was like with his son Jason and Trina ( or more so Trina’s pasta more than anything ). So he returns home to Trina and Jason, Whizzer in tow. The four plan to live harmoniously together… or at least as harmoniously as this knockoff Jewish version of the show Sister-Wives can be.

HALF CLOSED eyelashes, half-parted lips, and Turkish drapes: otherwise known as Hanschen Rilow’s aesthetic. The second top of his class at his all-boys academy, he has attributed his success to letting the system work for him. He doesn’t believe in working any harder than you should, instead it’s better to sit back and let things work themselves out and still reap the reward in the end. Hanschen is well known amongst his classmates, mainly for his sexual tendencies and the fact that no one should ever shake his dominant hand. He holds disdain for almost everyone he meets but disguises it within his coy demeanor. Even though you may think he’s joking by throwing shade at you, he’s probably not.

TRAPPED WAS the only thing that Martha Bessell felt anymore. Whether it was trapped in her own house, her own body, or even thoughts. Her mind had quickly become the darkness that she knew well. She had to put on a smile and pretend that everything was alright when she was hanging with her friends, but in reality, she was far from okay. Every day she dreaded going home and tried to prolong the walk to her apartment as long as she could. Every night she would be visited by her father in her room and there she would be touched by him in ways that no child should ever be touched by their parent. All she could do was hold it all in and hope that would day she would escape the darkness that was suffocating and slowly breaking her.

AS FAR as Moritz Stiefel was concerned, he was totally fucked if he had to spend another year trapped at school. It wasn’t as if the boy wasn’t immensely intelligent, actually, it was the opposite. He was too smart to know that in order to make it he had to kiss the asses of other and keep his mouth shut. While he likes to challenge the system as much as his best friend Melchior does, he’s secretly ( or not so secretly ) more sensitive than the other boy. He’s always wanted a place where he’s felt as if he belonged and shared common ideas with others but has never found it. The fact that he doesn’t feel accepted or acknowledged eats away at him every single day and with that comes the veiled threat that one day he’s just going to get fed up and end it all.

IT’S NORMAL for young teenage girls to hold a desire to defy their parents, but this was a little stronger for Wendla Bergmann. Having been raised by two radically conservative parents, she felt utterly suffocated for years on end. She was desperate to explore the world and her own sexuality, unsure where either path would lead her in the end. She was just sick of hearing the same old scorn that was voiced by her mother, stating that sex had no place in her life and that she only needed to rely on God to ensure her happiness. Naive and completely unaware of most things girls her age had come to known, she relied on her close friends to show her the way and teach her the things that she yearned to know. Perhaps knowledge would be the thing that would set her free, the same thing that her mother had shrouded her from.

WHOA, WATCH out -- it’s super radical Melchior Gabor. He’s your typical angsty whiny teenager who likes to brag that he’s an atheist. He likes to use big vocabulary words and pretend like he knows what he’s talking about, but half of the time he’s just quoting Faust. He thinks that just because he’s the most outspoken student at his all-boys Catholic school, that makes him the only one who is meant to rock the boat and challenge the system. Although talk is far more different than actually acting on things. He’s arrogant and full of himself, but all the girls he meets still seem to drop their panties the moment he opens his mouth. Too bad he’s not the type to stay around when the morning sun rises.

GIVE IT up for America’s favorite sassy Frenchman, Lafayette Motier. Hailing from France, the young boy wanted to get away from his home nation in order to provide himself with a change of scenery. America seemed the perfect place to escape to, specifically the bustling city of New York City. Considering Lafayette was similar to the energizer bunny, the non-stop buzzing lifestyle that he was presented with when he arrived was just what he had been looking for all this time. It wasn’t long before he found himself a spot amongst John Laurens and Hercules Mulligan, completing the trio. Everyone adores him and often asks him to say things just to hear his strong accent, which he is happy to oblige. More attention is always good, no?

BITTER AND well dressed, George King always makes sure that the spotlight is focused on him -- no matter what he has to do to get everyone’s attention ( even hurting your friends and family ). Born and raised into one of the wealthiest families in the city, he is well accustomed to getting whatever he wants. If he doesn’t, there’s a good chance that he will end up throwing a full blown temper tantrum -- foot stomping and all. He has a flare for dramatics, making it known every time he enters a room. He thinks that his life is an episode of Gossip Girl and he’s Blair Waldorf, the queen of the city. A few people have noticed that dear George is a bit off his rocker but it’s best to not say anything about that.

THE ELDEST by biological age, but Angelica Schuyler definitely didn’t live up to that position. She is a free spirit who only wants to enjoy life to it’s fullest extent. A self-proclaimed feminist, she finds herself reading up on several socio-political matters that are close to her heart. She values seeing multiple sides to an argument, but still can’t bring herself to sit through twenty minutes of Fox News. In that case, she values her brain cells more than anything else. She has always sought out excitement in her life and is looking for a mind at work. She doesn’t want to marry some boorish man who has an IQ lower than her own weight. You can often find her drooling over the new political thinkers of our time emerging out of the woodwork within the city. But, little does she know: those types of men are just as bad as the rest.

HAVE YOU ever met someone who was honestly too good for this world? Then I’m sure you would think the same about Elizabeth Schuyler. Optimistic and thoughtful, it’s no surprise that every man finds themselves head over heels for the girl. Although her father’s wealth of money might have something to do with it as well. With her motherly and tender nature combined with her desire to make something good out of the world, she opened an orphanage in the heart of the city where she tried to make the lives of the children that she met brighter than they had been to begin with. Everyone morning she looked around at the world and thanked God for lucky she was to be alive right now and she wanted to make sure that everyone else did the same.

IF YOU stand for nothing, what will you fall for? It was a good question, not one that Aaron Burr’s expensive education could even answer. Talk less, smile more. That was his way to get ahead in the world but apparently wasn’t good enough. How could some kid that came out of nowhere steal his spotlight? It wasn’t fucking fair. He was obviously the better educated and more handsome orphan here, and yet they were all falling at Alexander Hamilton’s feet. Between affairs that were had and still climbing the ladder at work, it was hard for him to be disappointed but here he was second guessing everything. Knowing that wasn’t life at all, he’s always waiting around for the second shoe to fall.

ALEXANDER HAMILTON, remember the name. America’s founding daddy, I mean… father. He knew that the world would one day know his name, but he wasn’t entirely sure about the extent. Despite the fact, he’s had an absolute shit life, this bastard son of a whore is climbing his way up to the top faster than the blink of an eye. After the death of his mother, he decided to bury all of his emotional trauma and leave it behind as he boarded a boat. Educating himself and showing everyone up was his only goal in life and he was going to accomplish it, no matter what he had to do. Now a politician and playboy living it up in New York City, he’s become the talk of the city – but sometimes not always in the best way.

I’m currently working on the bios from Hamilton, Spring Awakening, In The Heights, and the Newsies. Yes, I might be a little biased here but I really hope that you enjoy these memey yet sentimental bios that are coming your way. I’m hoping to finish at least half of them by the end of the night.
