Some pretty zoa growth I bought as small one or two or three polyp frags months ago, and one fugly brown zoa I bought as a cheap tiny frag from petco last year. Damn thing spreads. Bubble algae and I don't care lol.

Another thing is within the city, many people don't have cars and there isn't an easily accessible grocery store. You get McDs or Popeyes and corner convenience stores full of fast and cheap foods... Or take a bus out and carry whatever you can which isn't much...

I've had to work at the Charles street Safeway in Baltimore to help out, which I've driven through the bad parts of the city to get to... Where they have security guards posted at the entrance who will pat you down if you look suspicious. That parking lot is tiny and terrible and people usually bus to it.

It is still way out of the way to bother with if you don't have a car (and driving can be scary there...... Kids get out of school and are in the middle of the roads not caring who hits them).

A lot of those kids only get to eat meals in school and not at home too... On a side note. My employee talks about being poor with a kid and rehydrating oatmeal to feed him. People have zero clue.

Every day I’m still getting notes on an old post where I said that eating healthier costs more money and of course every so often is another health zealot swearing I’m wrong.

And what these bozos aren’t factoring in is that these foods, loaded with salts and fats and carbs and sugars, are FILLING for a shitload longer than whatever colon cleansing non-GMO avocado unicorn poop some thinspo blog is bragging about. The box of oatmeal creme cookies even lasts more than a day, just two of those things and I have no appetite again for hours.

Personally we are eating better and making more money currently but when I was a kid it was all the above shit and potatoes. Lots and fucking lots of potatoes.

Some of my zoanthid frags, shrooms, corals, etc. Not pictured are the GSP, my twizzler zoas, the original rasta colony, and a few other zoas including this butt ugly brown one that is taking over a rock.

40g breeder tank. For little ole me. The fish are just there for fun :) (I know that one damsel will grow larger than the tank allows. If he lives, we do have plans to expand the tank to a 100+ gallon eventually. But any fish in the tank may be eaten. The clown and the yellow tail damsel have been living in there with the mantis shrimp for months.)
