Physical traits provide artful hints about where a character stands on the good-evil spectrum. Slicked-back hair seems to be a common feature of a number of school bullies and evil businessmen types. A hairstyle shaped like horns is almost always a surefire sign of a heart as black as soot. Combined with the red lighting from the fire on the ship, and Rafe’s own Kubrick Stare, it gives him a somewhat demonic appearance. [x]
