He nodded, eyes closing once more. He left his mind drift of, face pressed against Viktor. He felt so sluggish, like he was dancing between wake and sleep. He sort of was.

Slowly, new chemicals replaced the old, and he felt himself slip more to sleep. But as sleepy came, it felt calmed. Less like a sleep of death, more just... Tired.

His lungs kept breathing. His heart kept pumping. Maybe rest would be a good idea...

He was forcing on Viktor. If he kept looking at Viktor, then he didn't need to think about the tubes. Or the chemicals. Or the doctor. If he kept his mind forced on Viktor, everything would be okay.

"Pup..."

His already slurred words were struggling more than usual, but he was keeping himself awake now. Behind him, he was vaguely aware he was wagging.

He muttered, mind still lost in a haze from the sudden drop and reintroduction of chemicals to his system.

"Heard crying.... Hurt?"

He reached a shaking paw out, tried to hold onto Viktor. He couldn't, struggling paws failed to grasp him.

He doesn't take long, once he has something new in him. His heart slowly speeds up- Still not to a comfortable speed, but returning to something better. His eyes weakly open again.

He heard a whimper.

Are his pups okay? Did something happen?

He raises his spinning head, for a moment before he loses the strength to keep it up.

[He lays down, clearly unnerved by the place, but trusting his pups. He tries to focus on Viktor, reaching out one of his paws to hold onto him, carefully as he can. He doesn't want to risk hurting him, but it's nice to feel something real. Make sure this isn't another nightmare.]

He lets out a very pleased rumble as Benzo plays with his fur. The kind of noise a dog makes when you find a scratch they can't reach on their own.

His head lobs to the side, following Benzo's hands as they moved. He acted a bit like a dog who's just found out humans can scratch all the hard to reach places.

"Benzo..."

His voice has grown a little bit more confident. He wasn't saying it to Benzo, he was trying to get the name to stick in his mind. Trying to make sure he remembered.

But.. he had a feeling Benzo wouldn't mind if he asked for help with it over and over.

"... Your Hands... Are nice... Feels good..."

He had been invited into the old, familiar shop, form a bit awkward- bulky as he was, in the small area. Muscle memory thankfully took over, helped him find himself a small to settle towards the back of the room. His eyes turned to Benzo, taking him in as he locked the door and closed the blinds. The whole... Ritual of it felt so familiar.

"Ben...zo..."

His voice rumbled out, asking the name again, trying to remember himself.

The first thing Benzo noted, was that he was much bigger up close, and it made his shop feel even smaller than usual in comparison. The second thing he noted was his voice, and the familiarity of it that made him pause for perhaps a moment too long.

But then he smiled and walked up to him and tugged him down into as tight a hug as he could manage.

"Yeah. I'm Benzo, we'll get you sorted, old friend. I can tell you've forgotten some things, but that's alright, we can work around that easy enough, don't you worry that big head of yours too much."
