Creator Trinity in a Tree with Roots Above (India painting)
Angelo da Fonseca (1902-1967) was a well-known artist of India. Here is his painting representing the Trinity.
Urdhavamula or The Tree of Religion, 1934, Watercolour on paper Courtesy: Heras Centre Photo Archive, Mumbai
Ūrdhvamūla is a Sanskrit compound consisting of the terms ūrdhva and mūla (मूल). It means "having roots above, upward."
The word is used in ancient Hindu scriptures. Here is some commentary on that, translated into English:
The Vedas speak of the imperishable 'Asvattha tree' called Samsara, which has its 'roots above and branches below', in such passages as the following: This Asvattha tree with its roots above and branches below is eternal' (Ka. U., 6.1), and 'He who knows the tree with its roots above and branches below' (Tai. A., 1.11.5). It has its roots above since it has its roots in Brahma (the Creator...) who is seated above the seven worlds. It has 'branches below' ending with denizens like men, animals, beasts, worms, insects, birds and immovables. It is 'immutable' since it cannot be felled, being of the form of a continual flow. https://www.gitasupersite.iitk.ac.in/srimad?htshg=1&setgb=1&etradi=1&&language=dv&field_chapter_value=15&field_nsutra_value=1
At the top of the tree, we see the Christian Trinity figures among the roots. Jesus, dressed in the holy color of saffron, is seated on the left (facing us). Something white is pouring from his right hand, I don't know what.
God the Father is seated on the other side, dressed in white, holding a flower, and making a sign of blessing.
The Holy Spirit is at the top, represented in the form of a dove.
According to the Vedic commentary quoted above, the tree has its roots above since its roots are in the Creator deity - the Trinity in Christian thought - who is seated above "the seven worlds" (perhaps a bit like "the seven heavens").
At the bottom of the upside-down tree are leaves and braches around a globe - the continents are colored orange. Africa is on the left.

Angelo da Fonseca (1902-1967) is one of the best known Christian painters of India.
‘We, who have embraced Christianity for centuries, have given up our painting, music and architecture. Having labelled them ‘paganism’, we have turned to the products of Europe. I hope in future we shall learn to treasure what is our birth-right and receive it in our churches and homes.’ In: Son of Man. Pictures and Carvings by Indian, African and Chinese Artists, The Society for the Propagation of the Gospel – Westminster, 1939.

the general population’s education of indigenous american cultures is literally painful like people walk around not knowing that native americans domesticated dogs and turkeys, that many communities had farms that stretched for hundreds of miles, that many communities had completely terraformed their territories, that there were native trade systems stretching across the continent, that there were native metalsmiths before european arrival, that most native people were multilingual etc

ok no. u know what??? winter my beloved. stepping inside and soaking in warmth like bread. drinking hot chocolate and tasting the sun. spritzing your scarf and tucking your nose in like a little bird. layering blanket upon blanket, no chance of sweat. sleep is now slumber, warmth is a gift. holiday lights are love letters from neighbor to neighbor. each morning is clear like the silence before creation. each cloud of breath reminds me how alive i am.

subtle acts of love
giving them food without them asking for it
randomly bringing them flowers
holding a door open for them
pulling out their chair for them
guiding them with a gentle hand on the small of their back
making them lunch to take to work with them
fixing their clothes or hair
giving them a massage
talking casually about a shared future
showing them their appreciation for them
waiting at home to say hello when they come in
paying complete attention to them
giving them a casual, but thoughtful compliment
writing them a love letter and hiding it for them to find
showing them something that reminded them of their partner
humming a song to calm them down
giving them a quick kiss whenever they pass each other at home
casual grabbing their hand and swinging it back and forth
remembering something they told them
