So Ive been doing a bunch of world building for my newest campaign and I got to the calendar. Normally I just use the calendar from this video by Matt Colville. I would recommend that any DM try to keep a calendar for your game. It really helps with consistent world building (such as seasons!). However, I want to manipulate that to have more properties I like in Calendars. Specifically 12 months each with 4 weeks so it matches our calendar closely. This campaign is a modern-y school anime campaign so having a mystical calendar doesn't help. Especially since I need to add a school calendar to the top of this. So I just named them after our months. Its easy and I have to remember less names.
Pretty simple, colors indicate season, and I made some simple day of week names that match some lore things. However I realized that this is a fantasy world. And that I control the months... which means I have infinite power. I am a kind god so I only make a small change. I made the months "match" their order better.
Suck it Former Roman Dictator Julius Caesar. I know my players will hate this but goddam if you use numeric prefixes please make them make sense. Also this made me realize that ONLY the months with the prefixes are the ones that are wrong smh

This is a comment someone appended to a photo of two men apparently having sex in a very fancy room, but it’s also kind of an amazing two-line poem? “His Wife has filled his house with chintz” is a really elegant and beautiful counterbalancing of h, f, and s sounds, and “chintz” is a perfect word choice here—sonically pleasing and good at evoking nouveau riche tackiness. And then “to keep it real I fuck him on the floor” collapses that whole mood with short percussive sounds—but it’s still a perfect iambic pentameter line, robust and a lovely obscene contrast with the chintz in the first line. Well done, tumblr user jjbang8

its a whole can of worms on how tumblr/tiktok/twitter take terms and just water them down completely to the point of being near unrecognizable and just go around spouting it everywhere but on the other hand there is something kinda funny about people realizing that "submissive and breedable" is like, very much a fetish thing

This was originally going to be a lot longer, but I ran out of steam! I have some thoughts to continue it later if I feel up to it!

an aside but one time I was told by someone who shall remain nameless that I needed to stop treating my plants with such love because plants were inherently evil and spiteful and I'd be much happier once I accepted that and in that moment the sims negative interaction symbol appeared crystal clear in my mind

Why didn’t anyone tell me about this comic earlier?
It is. So cute. SpiderMom does her best, and HumanChild makes friends with everything. There’s only about 20 pages so far, but I am invested.
Here’s page one. *shoos you off to read it*

Homebrew Support Spell for Ice Mages in DND 5e
(DND BEYOND LINK) 3rd Level Conjuration Spell Icicle Crash Casting Time: 1 Action Duration: Instantaneous Range: 120ft, 15ft Cube Components: V, S, M, (A ball of shredded fur) A tiny icicle appears in your hand mirroring a huge Icicle appearing above a point you can see within range. Each creature in a 15-foot-cube centered on that point must make a Dexterity saving throw. A target takes 6d6 cold damage and is knocked prone on a failed save, or half as much damage and isn't knocked prone on a successful one. Regardless, all creatures are moved to the closest point adjacent to the 15 by 15ft square as the icicle crashes into the earth. The Icicle encompasses the entire 15 foot cube and creatures cannot move through the area. The Icicle is an object made of ice that can be damaged and thus breached. The Icicle has AC 15 and 50 hit points. Reducing the Icicle to 0 hit points destroys the entire Icicle. At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd. Comments: Fire is supper well supported by the various subclasses in DND 5e, but it feels like the other elements are not. I'm fine with “Acid Damage” Mage not being a thing, but ICE MAGES not being reasonable sucks to me. There is some solid support and it is *doable* but the spell support is really low. Some levels of spells just don’t have ice spells and those that do can be really bad. (Don't get me started on Snowball Swarm and how bad it is) Fire spells are all about power and damage (cough fireball) so Ice spells should be still be powerful but add some utility. Usually the spells add a difficult terrain effect, but Ice can do so much more. Icicle crash is designed to match Fireball in power (so its STRONK) but has more utility then fireball. With 6d6 damage it isnt a joke, but being able to create walls at this level is quite strong. Lastly the prone aspect is just a little cherry for melee characters to get advantage.
