This song always elicits my heart to know that He is God and that He is above all- above any, every, and all challenges, victories, and joys in my life. In Jesus, I am no victim.

Am I intentional in my knowledge of God? Do the depths of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of Him cease to amaze me? Do they cease to make my heart be in constant awe and wonder? Has my love for Him grown cold?
-
-
Ask yourself these things with me today, friend:
⠀⠀
1. Are you intentional in your knowledge of God?
2. Do the depths of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of Him cease to amaze you?
3. Do they cease to make your heart be in constant awe and wonder?
4. Has your love for Him grown cold?
-
-
And if your answer to one of the above, or all of the above questions is an honest “yes,” I adjure you to go to Him. I beg you to seek Him. I beg you to sit at the feet of our loving God and ask Him to grow a greater love of Him in your heart. I humbly advise you to open up His Word, to read it prayerfully and let it wash over your soul. Go to God, and He will grow that desire for Him. His Holy Spirit will nudge and prompt us to be willing to repent and to openly allow and desire God to transform and renew us. Perhaps this is part of that nudging, my friend.

Because I’ve been there, many times. Many times in my life I could have gone through this list and said ‘yes.’ In fact, many times in my life, I think I would’ve actually been too prideful to even look at or answer this above said list. -
-
Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness to me even then. -
-
You all, His grace and mercy ever abounds.

I’m Rachel; behind the screen of Unaltered Grace. My life joyfully consists of being: Steve's wife (nearly five years and counting), Isaiah and Elijah’s momma, a pediatric intensive care nurse, a graduate student studying for a Master’s of Divinity (which is a real fancy name for Bible College, and, most recently, a business owner of a Culver’s Restaraunt. I’ve deemed myself to be the one and only butter-burger flipper, PICU RN, Theology-studying woman. The variety and haphazardly woven-together roles in my life suits me. :)
I smile incessantly, drink overly too much coffee (if there really is even such a thing), love being outdoors, staying active, exploring with my hubby, and being home... or tucked away by myself in a nice coffee shop.
I believe that God has a specific, strategic plan for every circumstance in our life and that He truly works all things out for the good of those who love Him. He orchestrates small occurrences each day that lead up to large happenings for His glory.  I want to share bits and pieces of the miraculous tapestry He has been weaving throughout my life in hopes that it will inspire you to discover and look deeper into how God is working through yours.

The Lies the Devil Tells Me (That I Bet He Tells You, Too!)
(Full Article found on unalteredgrace.com)
Some lies the Devil tells me (and you, I bet, too):
1.     You are not loved
2.     You have no purpose
3.     Does God really love you?
4.     No one cares
5.     It doesn’t matter
6.     You are weak
7.     You have nothing to fight with
8.     Your past disqualifies you
9.     You are not a good (fill in the blank;
mom, wife, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister,
nurse,  etc.)
10.  You will never be enough
If these lies sting when you read them, then I bet you have felt them, too. Felt them within the very deep parts of your being. Felt them, have heard them, and feel like you are powerless against them.
I’m learning that we have to battle these lies with God’s Truth. We have to battle the Devil’s whisperings with God’s proclamations. We have to battle these thoughts with God’s thoughts. We have to know who we are in Jesus.
The truth that God tells me (and you!):
1.     God, the creator of the Universe, deeply loves you. (Psalm 36:7, Psalm 86:5, John 3:16, Romans 5:8)
2.     God created you intricately with a purpose. Your purpose is to glorify Him, it is to be an image-bearer of the Holy, One True God. (Genesis 1:26)
3.     God loves you more than you could ever fathom. (Ephesians 3:18)
4.     There are people in your life who care. There are strangers who are your brothers and sisters in Christ who care. You, my friend, have a Savior who cares about you. God sees you. (Ephesians 2:4-5, Romans 8:28)
5.     It does matter. You matter. You are a child of God! (1 John 3:1, John 1:12, Galatians 3:26, Romans 8:17)
6.     You may be weak, but if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, you have the Holy Spirit living inside you; who makes you strong. Plus, we know that it is in our weaknesses that we can boast about, because then Jesus is even the more glorified! (2 Corinthians 12:9-10, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Philippians 1:6)
7.     We can put on the full armor of God. (Ephesians 6:10-18)
8.     Jesus throws your sins as far from the east is to the west. Repent and you are forgiven. (Romans 8:37-39, Psalm 103:12)
9.     You are put in your life roles for a reason. God created us and said that we are “very good.” (Genesis 1:31)
10.  We are made enough in Jesus. (Galatians 2:20, 1 Peter 2:9, Romans 8:37)
Look a handful of those passages up today. Let God tell you the truth Himself. Listen. Hear it. Believe it. Seek Him. Talk with Him. Believe that He listens.
Heavenly Father, I pray that you will come near to those who are all too familiar with the lies. Teach them your truth. Show them your love in tangible ways. Heal their hurts. Be their Counselor. May your mighty Holy Spirit stir within their heart and quicken them to seek you. Wash over their life with your truth so that the lies can fade away. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Quote
I’m learning that God is, in fact, the Counselor, Advocate, and Teacher. In addition, He has the ultimate power to bring counselors, advocates, and teachers directly to you.
