Movie Reviews (2019)
49. High School Musical (2006)
I know. I know. So overrated and cliché but hey, this cliché movies are like the basis of every other teen flick movies out there. Dont tell me I'm wrong because even if the movie was predictable, it's addictive too!
And heeeeey! Come on! It's High School Musical we are talking about! I know for sure that you also dreamt about being in High School Musical....or it's just me? Hahahaha
So... This spectacular Disney musical movie was released 13 years ago.
Yes. Thirteen years ago and when I first watched this was when I was in elementary. So I got my hopes up about high school because this movie pops up! I thought there will be lockers, a huge cafeteria, a huge theater and also the dress code. I thought my high school dress was going to be like how the students in East High dress... I forgot I was raised in the Philippines and uniform is a must.
SO ANYWAAAAAAAAAY. I have watched this so many times that I lost count! I watched the sing-along and dance-along version that Disney put up everytime they aired in in Disney Channel.
What so good about this movie? It's just about dancing and singer and teen falling in love. Some might say that what's so good about that, right?
Well, to tell them what's so good about this movie is that... It's not about those things. It's also about trying something out of your comfort zone and it's not bad.
I had almost lost count of all the chick flick that I've watched that the status quo in high school is so important.
The fact that its so important, it keeps the student grounded to where they think they belong. When they been labeled int a group, you must stay in that group until graduation but that shouldn't be that way.
High school is about figuring yourself up before college because trust me, you better get your shit together before graduation or else you'll be in serious trouble in college.
High school is about trying things. Experiencing. Having the time of your lives. It's not just about your circle or how great you are at high school. What you've become in high school doesnt really do you any good in college.
Watching this movie really brings me back to those happy times where I was just hoping that my crush likes me back....
I suggest to every high school student and incoming freshmen out there to have fun in your high school. I mean, hve fun but be careful okay. Fun is about happy times but dont be reckless to risk your life.
But hey, that part is way over.
I have experienced all that and now, new adventures are waiting to happen but here I am...in my room...watching movies...
Hahahahaha. Ironic, I know.
THIS IS TRULY A MUST IN EVERY GIRLS MOVIELIST OUT THERE. Because I know the boys wont like these kinds of genre. Especially in this generation.
Rate: 10/10
Someday, when you look back in your own high school memories make sure that you'll find yourself smiling instead of regretting.

On the off chance that we survive the Night King, what if the Seven Kingdoms, for once in their whole shit history, were ruled by a just woman and an honorable man?
