The differences between women of the three Venus nakshatras:
If you're one of them, I suggest you read them all, not just yours. Most will read Bharani first, then P. Phalguni and lastly P. Ashadha, but a more interesting order would be P. Phalguni-P. Ashadha-Bharani.
Bharani:
The birth of Venus_ the intense and transformative place that determines the journey.
The most passive energetically, perhaps the most visibly defensive. Focused on self-preservation, on deeper causes of their desires, wants, needs, attachments and love, and protective of their energy while relentlessly using it to get "what they want". More compassionate then Purva Phalguni, for example.
The themes of Bharani are physical creation, preservation and decay, along with the overarching rules or "mysteries" behind beauty, desire, attachments and love. Since it's Venus channeled personally, and connected to the sign of Aries/the active manifestation of Mars and the first house, it IS Venus, and so it lays the foundation for the other two. What that means is that one of its main concerns is secrecy and gatekeeping necessary for cultivation of everything that Venus represents, more so than other Venusian nakshatras.
It's also the only one that is Outcaste(Mleccha), which gives it enormous power and energy free of conventions. There is also en extreme sensitivity here that is not present in the other two. There's an awareness of energy and the core essence of everything that leads to the understanding or embodyment of "the ultimate", whatever that is.
Bharani women are embodyments of mother nature. They seek someone who can give them exactly what they want and need and nothing else. There is definitely a broad worldview that is naturally deep in them_ Bharani is an elephant yoni nakshatra, it has deep and profound memory, and some consider it the last nakshatra (most consider its yoni consort_ Revati as the last nakshatra, so that's some great insight into Elephant yonis). Despite this broad and deep view, Bharani women have a determination and a drive that can translate into an intensity with a "one track mind". Intensity and depth is in them almost always.
Definitely have the potential to be spiritual, because of a love for depth and an understanding of purity. Their yoni consort_ Revati is perhaps the most spiritual nakshatra, connected with the theme of "Godhood". Bharani's spirituality can be fused with romantic or sexual love and manifest as fierce devotion. They have an inability to tolerate "impurity"_ the error or fault between worlds and energies between them, for example, between the inner substance and the outward manifestation, or between the masculine and the feminine, between this world and the other. This can translate to a radical love of and demand for honesty and justice.
Balance and harmony are necessary for Venus but its sign rulership of Mars is the energy that drives them and in a sense, grants identity. The fusion of foundational energy of Venus with the active Mars is the theme of sex and death so prominent in this nakshatra. Life is the result of the sexual act but the culmination of that act is called "a little death". Love and desire drive sex so they also drive life and death. So, if Venus is the equilibrium and the balance then Mars is the other side_ the need for release. Together, they grant life and rule over the two components necessary for existence_ identity and the loss of it through love. Bharani is about defining existence itself, their own or of the world, through love.
Bharani women can act in a very enthusiastic and driven way, but also have a side to them that is extremely serious, to an extent that neither Purva Phalguni or even Purva Ashadha really reach.
Archetypically they represent the "damsel in distress" or "the princess in the tower". Bharani is something or someone nearly impossible to get or even find, which could be also associated with its symbolism of the yoni. It's also connected to the Holy Grail, or "The Philosopher's Stone" (that one was said by Claire Nakti recently and I have always gotten that vibe energetically from Bharani but could not articulate why. It makes so much sense though. This can also be another confirmation of why I associate Bharani with Rapunzel's tale so much).
Another archetype that they remind me of is the princess with high standards in fairytales that is so common. A similar one would be a young women who is fearlessly defiant, especially about choosing her own love.
Out of all Venus nakshatras Bharani women need gentleness the most, since's it's the most high tension/triggering placement among them. Bharani women can feel defenseless and abused, especially from harsh or crude(mostly masculine) energies. This ironically increases their defensive nature and a need for protection, despite being naturally gentle and passive. There's a clear difference between when a Bharani women is given her justice and when she is not. Their fierceness and gentleness are, in truth, the same in spirit.

Purva Phalguni:
Out of the Venus nakshatras, Purva Phalguni is the one that is the least expressive emotionally. At least, not obviously. They too feel a lot, but their Sun rashi rulership grants them an "unbothered" nature.
So Purva Phalguni is the Venus nakshatra of pure unashamed enjoyment. They have clear preferences and after establishing the foundation in Bharani, Purva Phalguni is free to be prideful about their love. It's connected to ease, contrasting Bharani, which is more full of melancholic beauty and the meaning of struggle.
Purva Phalguni women are connected to material things and love it. Their personality is more "Sunny" than other Venus nakshatras. It's the most "neutral" Venus nakshatra. Definitely very sexual along with Bharani. The difference is that Bharani is represented by the yoni and the passive feminine principle, but Purva Phalguni is represented by the phallus and the active, masculine assertion of self through Venusian themes. In this way, they have a connection that is reaffirmed by the "special relationship"(traditional texts say so) between their yoni animals_ the rat and the elephant.
Women of this nakshatra, being the feminine representatives of the nakshatra of masculine assertion, have a friendly and easygoing nature, due to being relaxed. They have an energy of being "provided for", but they're still ruled by the planet of mutual exchange(Venus), so they're very giving in their own way. They like to pamper their beloved with gifts and/or attention, they love to feel special and make them feel "special"(Leo/Sun rulership) in return. Their tendency towards fun (5th house association) makes them a memorable presence. They do love spotlight more than Bharani and Purva Ashadha.
One interesting association of Purva Phalguni is discernment, which leads to their tendency of favoritism. Bharani and Purva Phalguni both love being passive in a sense of having someone take the reigns that helps them relax into a receptive, feminine role but they both also love to give back. Bharani is more receptive though, hungrier and harsher than Purva Phalguni, which is more relaxed and willing to give. Because of this, in a way, Bharani and Purva Phalguni women might become great friends with each other.
Charisma is a big thing here, due to Leo/Sun/5th house associations. Venus here is expressed through soul identity(Sun) and shown in the most adorned light among all three Venus nakshatras.
An important association of Purva Phalguni is procreation. Bharani as also explicitly associated with the sexual act and bringing a life, but Purva Phalguni focuses on the pleasure aspect of it, on the leisure and continuing the bloodline. Its yoni consort_ Magha is associated with family trees and bloodlines and is also fully in Leo(5th house/children association). Bharani on the other hand, focuses on immortality of love, attachments and transition between worlds, and sex for them is the ultimate point of change.
Even though they're the most outwardly stoic and act the most unaffected out of the three, they're also most prone to dramatics. There's a side to them that loves to show off and display, even if they don't show everything to everyone.
The dramaticism is for self-confidence and enjoyment(mainly, their own). It's not a placement that is concerned with gossip or everyone else's lives. Quite the contrary. If they don't like you, they will just pay you no attention. In this way, they're the least personal of Venus nakshatras. They have an aversion to anything unnecessary(kind of similar to how Bharani can't tolerate impurity) and outward harmony and empowerment is essential.
The archetype that Purva Phalguni women represent is the loving wife/girlfriend or "the spoiled lady". Purva Phalguni is Brahmin(highest) caste and is associated privilege and the ease that comes with it. Partnerships are important to them(the second stage of civilization/others. Bharani is the first stage of the individual, and Purva Ashadha is the third stage of universal). They can also be seen as "the nice rich girl", but that one is not necessarily true. They value politeness and manners but they themselves are not nice as much as they're unbothered. They're just not mean. The combination of Venus and Sun ensures that they're too focused on themselves and their wants to care about most others. In short, they live by "I am what I love".

Purva Ashadha:
Venus nakshatras all embody classical traits that are associated with the planet's archetype, but none are directly associated to the Goddesses Venus and Aphrodite like Purva Ashadha. This is the nakshatra of Venus' universalization. Being in the sign of Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter), it has an inner desire to share its Venusian ideals(Sagittarius/9th house) with others.
Bharani is intense fire, Purva Phalguni is the fertile earth, Purva Ashadha is the relentless waves of water.
One obvious difference between Purva Ashadha and the other two Venus nakshatras is the lack of sexual associations.
When Venus is filtered through active Jupiter(sagittarius/9th house), then the action is sharing or spreading it. After the birth(Bharani) and the hedonistic pleasures(Purva Phalguni), Venus is ready and has an inner desire/neediness to make itself be heard.
The drive to spread its influence on this level is not present in other Venus nakshatras. Purva Ashadha women too know the importance of privacy, secrecy and gatekeeping, but they've come to a place where they've realized that beauty, love and all that is most precious cannot exist in a vacuum, but also cannot be ruined by what is below it in value. So the natural manifestation of that curcumstance is a constant tug of war between secrecy and sharing, between shutting off and spreading outwardly. Eventually, or sometimes immediately, they realize that they need allies to maintain their "Venus"(beauty, love, aesthetic preferences, all of them tied to morals and idealism), and then maybe, after strengthening, they can conquer all that is unworthy(in their eyes) together.
They can be extremely careful with who they choose to associate with, since to these women, people are either allies or enemies. In the end, whether they like to pretend otherwise or not, that's what it comes down to. They try to not show that they're trying to silently influence you, trying to get you to see that what they value is better or superior, that they'd like people to back them up in that way. It's still a Venus nakshatra, so they move in silence, but out of all Venus nakshatras, they're the most likely ones to break that "I'm just minding myself" Venusian attitude. They can become really triggered in general when something touches their ideals.
In friendships and with acquaintances they observe to see if they're worth trying to influence. Overall, these views may be why they like the idea of cliques or elitism that much.
Purva Ashadha women can be melancholic and intense like Bharani, but Bharani has a nature of fiery anger(active Martian/1st house/Aries), while Purva Ashadha is softer and watery. Another commonality they have with Bharani that Purva Phalguni does not is a creative drive to bring something out into the world. While in Bharani that manifests as literal birth/death and karmic changes, Purva Ashadha has a need to birth ideas, ideals, creative projects.
Their tendecy to look for allies and gather strength is further explained by its title as "the former victorious" one. It can be associated with revolutions, how the power of masses(Jupiter) empowered by fierce idealism(Venus-Jupiter) can grant said people victory. Their yoni consort_ Shravana, is associated with extreme receptivity and hearing everyone/everything. In this way, it is clear why they are consorts of Purva Ashadhas, who desire allies, support and victory.
A commonly manifested attitude among them is "others just will not get me"(that rarely is true irl). Jupiter, they rashi ruler, is connected to Godhood and their yoni_ Vanar, is a being from other dimentions. This might inspire a sense of superiority but also generate a feeling of alienation.
The most fitting archetype for them would be "warrior princess" or the "alluring siren". The siren's association with this nakshatra is quite famous. Purva Ashadha is another Brahmin caste nakshatra. Bharani has associations with fighting and aggression too but they do it on a more personal level. Purva Ashadha wants to fight with and for masses, backing what they fight for together.

i want to kill myself. i will kill myself. i don’t hv anyone to leave a suicide note to in the real world so i’ll choose digital formatting instead.
I think i’m dying because of lies told to me. And i’m okay with that. I’ve tried taking my life plenty of times before and I have to be careful this time if I fail because the harshness of life will be right underneath me, not giving a fuck, expecting me to get back to work.
So I will try and get it right. It’s bitter because I know I have potential, but what is that without results.
I am not the kindest, nor most helpful, most social. I am awkward and with a big ole ego and usually anxious, but I still know how to operate.
I am 22, it’s been a month since my birthday. I had a decent one, I spent it in out of state, albeit alone.
My father abandoned me when I was 14, around the same time my mother had entered a new relationship. They hadn’t been together since I was 2, but my father and stepmother had created an entire family unit I was used to and all of that got broken up. It was devastating, as separations are.
I stopped talking to my dad and still spoke with my step mom, all my brothers lived with her too and it was the only way to access my sister.
So you see, I was especially vulnerable. My school was through my father, my home, my friends. I had to leave everything behind, quite literally. My mother has OCD and wouldn’t let me take even a quarter of my belongings to her house and I had to say goodbye to so much and that hurt too.
Anyway, so my mother gets into a new relationship and is trying to keep it from me, but I see the signs. Some months later in 2017 she explains to me that this man she’s with is actually my biological father and she lied. The man who had raised me, who had left me, wasn’t my dad at all. It broke something in me and felt like I had lost him twice.
Well, the reason I’m killing myself in 2024 is that she lied about that too. I confronted her via text real casual, real easy about it today 6 October, 2024. You have to be casual to get the truth, she’s prone to lying.
She says that no, the man I lied to you about being your father isn’t your father either. And I shut down. My heart started beating fast and I wanted to cry. I left work 2 hours early and have been thinking of killing myself ever since. I cussed her out, left the family groupchat. There’s so much more I wish I could add and context I want to provide, but that would take all night. The “family” groupchat didn’t come easy and only came at all because my Grand, her mom, is dying and we have to organize. My Grand, my 2nd/3rd mother, is dying.
And I will die before her and be there to greet her soul. Life is hard. Extremely and i’m so disinterested. I’m not gonna cut myself, that’s messy. But, I will drink myself to a stupor, I will tie a bag over my head, I will ingest 30 of the highest mg painkiller Walgreens will allow, and sometime this week or the next I will sleep like I never have before.
I loved astrology. I loved my best friend, so, so much. She’s been with me for almost 5 years (anniversary is soon, this is platonic btw). I loved food especially. In recent months, my binge eating has come back full swing. but if i’m binging on my way out so be it too. I will die confidently thinking no one understands me and I won’t give most people the chance to, as it’s usually a waste of time.
I’m most definitely pro suicide. To anyone feeling like me and confidently knowing things won’t get better, you’re allowed to decide this for yourself. Even if it’s selfish…they just gone hv to be mad. This is YOUR life and what you do with it is your choice. And frankly, it’s your choice to die. You don’t need to have a terminal illness to decide that.
Living is a great option though. Overcoming all odds is exciting, but terribly unrealistic.
I just dislike myself, my circumstances, what i’m made of, and where I come from. I’m disgusted actually and that’s myyyy prerogative. I love that I tried and I love that I quit. I always know when to stop.
Thank you to me for trying these 22 years. Thank you for surviving, for putting up with what you did.
I owe you so much. I will always have your back, in life and death because definitely nobody else will.
Just get through this week and I promise paradise is your’s. You get to die painlessly and be free. You get to go in your sleep and be maybe a little sad, but happy all the same that the pain is coming to an end.
I’m proud of you, if no one else will both say it and mean it. And i’m proud of you for dying. God bless you as you’re on your way out and thank you endlessly for living this brief life with me, Amen.
And to anyone who sees this: thank you. Please smile, laugh, eat your favorite meal, cook your best friend their favorite meal and personally deliver it. Talk to someone you wouldn’t typically talk to. It’s very easy to save lives and not have to get to this point. Food, comfort, intimacy, laughter, EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, can really keep a person going y’know. Wear your mask, stop spreading covid, unplug more often from the internet, save ur pictures on a physical hard drive, and understand that climate change is coming for us all as well. I guess i’m just getting out early. Love y’all, xx

Essential Dignity and Debility in Astrology
Tumblr media
This post is LONG and hurt my fingers so much but would certainly help those who wish to study astrology rather seriously.
There are five different kinds of essential dignity that a planet can have and they are domicile, exaltation, triplicity, term (or bounds) and face (or decan). I would also be covering an important accidental dignity in this post. Each one impacts a planet in a different way by affecting the kinds of support and the amount of support a planet has access to.
look at this chart below: (credits: lilacstro on tumblr)
Tumblr media
Let us start with
Tumblr media
domicile (+5 points)
Ok, so think of it as the literal meaning, someone who is at home. To add more clarity to it, this would be the prime minister of a country, someone who is responsible for managing all the work and does all the major responsible things.
Some ancient astrologers use a scoring system to quantify the influence of planetary dignities. When a planet is in its own domicile, it receives a score of +5, which can be further enhanced by other dignities that we'll explore later. While this scoring system can be initially helpful, it's important not to rely on it exclusively for understanding dignity. A planet's condition is also influenced by its house position, aspects, speed, solar phase, and other factors. The scoring system is just a starting point, and I encourage you to trust your own judgment once you grasp the basics.
Tumblr media
debility or detriment (-5 points)
A planet is in it’s detriment when it is placed in the sign that opposes it’s domicile. For example, the Sun rules Leo and is therefore in detriment in Aquarius, the sign that opposes Leo. The scoring system will tell you that a planet in exile is worth -5, but I’m not too sure about that, since again this would be like painting things black and white and that is not what we are doing here.
Think about it, you are out of your home, like far away from your home BUT you have the knowledge about the place you are at, you can speak the language and you have some rebel inside of yourself. You can say you are in your fight mode, you are not comfortable, you are not at ease, there is restlessness to be precise. Planets in detriment are forced to do things differently than they normally would, which can make them feel like outsiders.
Think about
Now is it the end of the world? No.
I think, was it with professor charlie obert at Kepler? If I am remembering it right? He quoted the example of Muhammad Ali (who was a heavy weight champion), who had Mars in Taurus. And now, he made this his entire career, and you see, Mars here gave him a restlessness, a competitive spirit, which he utilized to go where he went. So you see, it indeed is not impossible and no detriment or fall placement is a handicap.
Tumblr media
Exaltation (+4 points)
Ah, exaltation is the president of the country. While he does not do much important work like the prime minister , he is extremely important and well regarded. Or think of him as an esteemed guest in a friend's house, though it is technically not his own house, he is still happy and comfortable there. I hope I am making sense
Planets in domicile have a bit more responsibility, which makes them more powerful but less relaxed at the same time — they have affairs to manage and duties to tend to. Exalted planets get to enjoy the experience a bit more, which might make the experience of exaltation more subjectively favorable than the experience of a planet in domicile. So this point system again feels doubtful.
Now, if you will look at the chart above, you will see I have mentioned some specific degrees at the chart above, now what I mean by that is, if you have degrees at that planet and sign, the exaltation is even more intense. In fact, the earliermost concept of exaltation were based on degrees. But in my own opinion, this would add more intensity only when the planet is in the exalted sign and not others. For example, in my own opinion, I would rather not consider a Moon in Gemini at 3 degrees to be exalted.
Traditional astrologer lily, relates it to psychological exaltation, saying people with exalted planets, often tend to have some high opinions of themselves, and it is somewhat true in my practice.
Tumblr media
Fall (-4 points)
The opposite of exaltation is fall, which is often cited as being the most difficult condition for a planet to be in, which is not really like that. It more so is you need to work hard to bring those skills up, but harder than when the planet would have been in detriment. Now like I said, it is like being restless being in detriment, it is more so feeling lost and somewhat helpless with the planet being in fall. Now psychologically, having planets in fall can sometimes lead to a low self esteem or opinion of yourself around that area in life. Like say, your Moon is in fall in Scorpio, so you may feel like disregarding your emotions, not really wanting to believe or trust them. It can feel like at working odds with oneself.
In greek writings, fall was considered the prison, where one is supposed to oppose and fight, while exaltation was the throne, where one is considered prized. (it lowkey rhymes lmao)
When a planet is in fall, it encounters conditions that hinder its ability to thrive, making it less effective in managing the topics it signifies in a chart. These areas may be more challenging for an individual to engage with, but they also highlight where people are likely to make entirely new paths. The easy routes that exalted planets enjoy are not available to a fallen planet — they must create their own trails through persistence and determination. This process requires grit, effort, and perseverance, which is why fallen planets are often experienced as more difficult. They represent the harder aspects of life but also offer opportunities to break new ground and explore uncharted territory.
Again an example of how planets in fall may work out is comedian Lenny Bruce, who had his Sun and Jupiter hard aspects and both of them in fall, and that was the kind of comedy he did, basically ridiculing, coming in your face in kind of stuff and this is one of the many examples of a fall placement, being ridiculed or feeling off, humiliated, dishonored, disgraced, not being listened to (damn it got too much but I am just trying to explain).
Tumblr media
Triplicity (+3 points)
This is not that major, but still a good add on strength to your planet. It is like, having a small support group, maybe of friends or people who just support you. For people with fall and triplicity:
It is like let us say you have lost your day job, but your patreon followers support you. What I mean is, if you have some fall planets, but their having a triplicity in that planet, it is having some support.. It might not be easy or comfortable to do so, but the resources they seek are dependent on others. Let us say you have Venus in Virgo, which is fall(-4 points). However, Venus also has triplicity in Virgo (+3 points), meaning it does get some support in Virgo. Of course, a wholistic Astrological interpretation is not as simple as being reduced to a points system, but it can help conceptually
Venus does not rule Virgo in the day. Virgo is ruled by Mercury, regardless of the time of day. However, Venus is the triplicity ruler of Earth signs (including Virgo) during the day, which means Venus has a supportive influence in Virgo for daytime charts.
The benefit of Venus being the triplicity ruler of Earth signs in a daytime chart is not limited to individuals with a Virgo Sun and Virgo Venus. It applies to any chart where Venus is in an Earth sign (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) in a daytime chart.
In a nighttime chart, the Moon is the triplicity ruler for Earth signs. Thus, Venus in Virgo would still be in fall (-4 points) but wouldn’t receive the +3 points from triplicity rulership since the night lord is the Moon.
Whereas for people with no fall placement, but a triplicity think of it as situations where a friends appears to lend a helping hand in times of need. This is the friend who drives you to the airport, the technologically-proficient relative who can fix your computer and so on.
It is however, important to consider the sect of the chart (wheather it is a day chart or night chart basically, I will be posting sects just after this, so it can help maybe)
Tumblr media
the above rulers are further classified as day lords, night lords and co operating lords. For example, for someone who has a scorpio sun and was born in day, their day lord would be Venus, the night lord would be Mars, and the co operating lord would be Moon.
Now you may ask, what is day lord for a night chart? and why night lord for a day chart? well, these lords in both the sects reveal information about each of the houses that give so much extra information. So, do not confuse yourself at the moment. Just know, in your are born in the day, the rulers are so and so, and in night the rulers in a chart are so and so.
EDIT: check the post on sects out too if you are confused :)
Example: Someone is born in the daytime with a Mars in Taurus. Mars is the cooperating lord of Taurus during the day, Mars in Taurus receives +3 points and for being in detriment, -4? so it becomes a -1 overall.
Tumblr media
Bounds (+2 points)
The terms refer to unequal subdivisions of the zodiac signs that are ruled by the non-luminaries in the Egyptian schema. These confines can be thought of as rooms in a planet’s house each one being sub-ruled by one of the 5 classical Planets (minus the luminaries). They are a method of categorization in the Essential Dignity schema of a Planet to ascertain its level of strength or weakness, or comfort within a Sign at a particular degree.
Tumblr media
One way to conceptualize this is to think about the planet that rules a particular term as the supervisor of any planet that falls within that bound. The exaltation lord is like the CEO, the domicile lord is the Big Boss, the triplicity rulers are your coworkers and the term lord is your immediate supervisor. All of these play a role in your experience of getting work done and having a job, but in vastly different ways. This is how dignity works — it is a complex form of interrelated principles that all affect one another.
This influence can be easily seen in the example above where a domiciled Planet can be interpreted as the CEO, but really it is the supervisor (Planet in its bound) that has more of an impact on your day-to-day job satisfaction! How often do you encounter the CEO? Although the CEO would ultimately have the last say, generally you would go to your supervisor first for any issues (then the manager).
Astrologer Kyra Ryberg (I hope this was the name), explains this with help of Miley Cyrus' Chart. I cannot quote her word to word but will explain it from what I remember reading.
Her Saturn is at 13 degrees Aquarius in her 10th house, placing it within the bounds of Jupiter.
In Aquarius, certain degrees belong to the bounds of Jupiter, and this is where Miley’s Saturn is located. Both Jupiter and Saturn are diurnal and part of the sect in favor, with Jupiter overcoming Saturn by trine. This aspect and Jupiter’s influence help explain Miley’s significant success. Saturn limits and restricts, even with benefic influence, and she has often spoken about the challenges of breaking free from her Disney star persona. When Jupiter bounds in Aquarius, such individuals are “careless of their reputation" and I do not think I need to elaborate more.
Tumblr media
Decan (+1)
Called “decanic” dignity or “dignity by face” and it refers to a planet being in their own decan. The decans are 10° subsections of the zodiac signs that help differentiate between the beginning, middle and end of a sign. The ancients gave them a score of +1, but I have found them to be more descriptive than anything else. The faces tell us what kind of narrative or storyline a planet will encounter in a given sign.
There are two different schemas of decanic rulership, one that follows the triplicity order and another that follows the Chaldean order.
Tumblr media
the inner wheel has the orders by triplicity while the outer wheels have the chaldean order. Look at the 0-10 degree for the 1st decan, 10-20 for the second and 20-30 for third in each sign
When a planet is in its own decan( for example: Mars in Aries between 0-10 degrees), it is said to gain a special kind of superpower. While it won’t be skilled at everything it’s responsible for, it will be particularly good at specific things. Austin Coppock says that it “unlocks a particular raw potency” that enables the planet to be “empowered by their own merits, abilities and efforts.” It’s not nearly as powerful or resourceful as a domiciled or exalted planet, but it does have a very profound impact on the way a planet does it’s Thing.
One extra clarification, When Mars is in 10°-20° Aries: Mars is still in its own sign, but now in the Sun’s decan.
There is an amazing tip for those who study tarot and astrology both. Now I have read this at multiple places so I do not know who to credit. But, here we go,
In more modern times, decans have become associated with the minor arcana cards of the tarot.
Each element corresponds with a suit in tarot: earth is pentacles, air is swords, water is cups, fire is wands. The cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Capricorn and Cancer) correspond with the 2, 3 and 4 of a given suit. The fixed signs (Leo, Aquarius, Taurus and Scorpio) correspond with the 5, 6 and 7, while the mutable signs (Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo and Pisces) are connected to the 8, 9 and 10 of a particular suit. For example, if you wanted to know what the first decan of Pisces represented, you would look to the 8 (first decan of a mutable sign) of Cups (Pisces is a water sign). By using this shortcut, you can look up the associated tarot cards of each decan and begin to contemplate and understand the territory a planet is living in or transiting through. The journey through the decans tell a story, and it is rich, vibrant and full of symbolic meaning.
Tumblr media
Peregrine planets (-5 points)
Planets without dignity, debility and rulership, are called peregrine. Like for example, Scorpio Sun, the Sun is neither exalted, debilated, or in domicile or anything at all with the sign of scorpio.
For planets without dignity, look at their rulers. Planets which are not at home depend on the ruler of host to function. The word “peregrine” comes from the the Latin peregrino, meaning “to wander, or “to travel”. Like a voyager in a foreign land. Demetra George describes peregrine planets as “a person without a home or who is outside his homeland” which increases their potential deficits.
And again, that point system atleast for me is not important when looking at the peregrine planets, and I would not say that the planet is an orphan of some sorts at all. This is just a traditional astrology thing which I just mentioned, and its on you and your practice to take it or not. The placement and aspects these planets make are very important. It is brutal for the traditional astrologers to give them a straight -5 lol.
for example aries moon is purely peregrine, aries mercury is also pregrine except between 12º-20º, where it has dignity by bound
similarly, taurus mercury, Taurus is not the domicile, the exaltation or even fall or detriment of Mercury so it is peregrine, except for 0-10º(triplicity order)// 10-20(chaldean order), where it has dignity by decan and between 8-14º where it has dignity by bound
now lastly,
Tumblr media
accidental dignity
This is very powerful in understanding the placements of a planet while delineating a natal chart. The four pivot angles in the chart (basically the 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th), are points of visibility and power of the influence of the planet.
source of image: kepler college
Tumblr media
so we understand that angular houses, which are 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th, amplify the visibility of the planets too.
and then the visibility is less in the succedent houses which are 2nd, 5th, 11th and 8th
followed by the least in the cadent houses, which are 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th
Let us see a last example of how this may play out
For example. Bob Dylan had his mercury in gemini in the 7th house, and his venus 12 degrees in gemini in the 7th house and it just even further amplified how good of a lyricist he was, even though Venus in Gemini was not that strong with just being dignity bound at 12-17 degrees, however you may pay attention to the fact that his neptune was in virgo, and his mercury was in 7th, so the ruler of neptune was in 7th which amplified his artistic skills even more, since 7th house is kind of an accidental dignity.
Let us take another example, a person with Sun in scorpio at 4 degrees, is peregrine, but if the Sun is placed in any of the angular houses, it becomes stronger and the person would show qualities of leadership, strong ambition etc. and even better if the Sun has tight positive conjunctions with benefics (especially jupiter) or the ruler of scorpio lies in any of these angular houses.

this is an extra sheet of information for anyone who may like to look at it more,

Astro observations pt 3
Trying to be a little consistent haha! Also, I suggest using astrology as a self development tool. While I do believe in fate and predictive astrology, I believe you still have free will for most parts in your life and how the cosmic energies playout for you can be hard to pin down since one single placement can have multiple meanings on how it is interpreted. If you have challenging aspects, you can DEFINATELY work your way through them and NO aspect or placement is bad or life ending ! phew, here we go
Tumblr media
1.I think, Uranus Trine Sun can give someone a very unpredictable nature.
Tumblr media
2.Uranus in your Second house SR can give you an unpredictable year in your finances. But, if uranus is in harmonious aspects with Jupiter, you will be able to arrange money when needed.
Tumblr media
3. I have heard to check the major themes of your year, check where does your chart ruler(ruling planet of ascendant) lie in your SR.
Tumblr media
4.Mars in 7th house in synastry can mean the relationship could be very passionate, things could go fast, but it may end fast or unpredictable. (you can just subscribe to the first part if you like, nothing is absolutely set to happen :) )
Tumblr media
5.I always have an urge to become a professor after some point in my life regardless of the career i choose , and i found my asteroid academia(829) lies in my 10th house.
Tumblr media
6.Speaking of which, if you are considering to choose a major but struggle or are confused, it might be worth looking at where does your asteroid academia overall lie in your chart. I have found it to be useful. I can make a separate post on this one !
Tumblr media
7.People with Sun and Jupiter in 10th house// sun and jupiter in positive aspects could do really well in careers like Public policy and international law.
Tumblr media
8. The house and planet in your 5th house can determine the nature of you child/one of your children. Mars in 5th house? A physically active child, Sun in 5th house? An outgoing easy child. However, PLEASE CHECK THE DEGREES, I can make a post on weak degrees for each planet if you all like :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
9. Mars square Sun people can have so much restlessness, like they cant be still. My brother has this placement and well, it is not easy to match his energy most of the times lol. Also, very impulsive.
Tumblr media
10.Mars in inharmonious aspects with Mercury could show you having problems expressing anger overall. for example
Opposition:
are probably passive aggressive. You might like lashing out? giving silent treatment? saying things you don't mean?
Square:
not saying anything at all, letting things slide even when they bother you? letting your anger build until you can't take it no more.
Tumblr media
11. Sun in 3rd/10th/6th/11th could be really talked about. Also can get fame on social media at some point in their life, or get easily famous on social media.
Tumblr media
12.Sun in 6th house could mean your co workers may see you in high regard and may like working under you.
Tumblr media
13.Jupiter in harmonious aspects with uranus grants you unexpected luck. Places you did not expect to have luck at. I have seen this manifest with my own eyes.
Tumblr media
14.Saturn in 7th house people give me the types people go to advice for. My sister has this. Another example of what different placements can mean. 7th house rules your relationship with people while Saturn is wisdom, discipline and guidance, your father in your birth chart.
Tumblr media
15.I have seen this analogy that, in your natal chart Saturn is the father, moon is the mother, while sun is the child. How to use this information? Want guidance, your most confident self? Your Saturn sign.
who you turn to when you are down? emotional? who you are on the inside as your most vulnerable self? how to take care of yourself when you are down? Your moon sign. I can make a post on this too, i think it should help? idk, y'all tell.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
16. Water mercuries may like writing poems and journals.
Tumblr media
17. I have this theory that your Jupiter placements and aspects can show you how to manifest things for yourself. This observation has worked for people in my family, but I can give examples. You can couple this information to create a manifestation ritual maybe.
Jupiter in 10th house: If someone close asks you, what are your plans? or what do you want? tell them (dont breach your privacy or if you dont feel like it DONT lmao, im talking about what ive seen working). Talk about your manifestation.
Jupiter in 8th house: Keep it hidden, dont tell anyone until it manifests, have a positive self talk
Jupiter in 12th house: Visualize it, meditate, think about it as if you have it
Jupiter 3rd house: maybe create a manifestation journal and forget
Jupiter in 9th house: Pray if you believe. Be extremely optimistic about it, fake it till you make it thing.
Jupiter at mercurial signs/degrees/positively aspecting mercury: speak it in existence
I can again make a post on this if you all like.
Tumblr media
18. Your chiron placement in your SR is very important. The house it is in would tell you where you will hurt BUT grow. I read someone saying the North Node represents this part of learning, but i respectfully disagree.
I had Neptune AND chiron in my 11th house in SR, and this really amplified the learning experience that came regrading my deceiving friends, how i use social media, and who am i choosing to entertain, all at once. Its scary.
I am really considering making a SR series but i am unsure if its relevant dont know why. (not me giving myself post recommendations all throughout this post lol)
Tumblr media
thats all for today, i am very sleepy, I hope you enjoyed this <33

Rahu & Ketu: The Mystery of Being
TW: abuse, rape, murder, abduction, childhood trauma, violence
The more I study Nodal energy, the more I realise how truly hard it is to remain within its influence, it escapes your grip or eludes you so easily and I think even Nodal natives feel this way, its really hard to have a stable/consistent self image or strong identity because with Rahu you are sooo many different things and your energy is dispersed completely (Rahu being the "head") and with Ketu, you're in the dark completely so you feel unable to identify with anything permanently i.e you outgrow things quickly (Ketu being the "body"). Both Rahu & Ketu are malefics and generally considered to be inauspicious but please don't be discouraged!!
The reason why they're considered inauspicious is because Rahu creates excessive immersion in the material realm as these natives are always looking out of themselves/seeking external things to centre themselves around. Since they're stuck in the head (literally) they're unable to be grounded or tethered. This causes overindulgence and gluttony. They might seem greedy on the outside but truly this is driven by their boundary-less nature where they literally do not know when to stop, nothing feels "enough" for them, they never feel "full". Since they're so vastly spacious internally, they can accommodate a lot, this makes them very tolerant and accepting of virtually every one and every kind of experience. But this internal spaciousness also means that they feel empty, just because its hard to "fill up" all that space and feel "fulfilled". This causes them to overexert themselves and go above & beyond. They do this just because they can. This is why they're such obsessive lovers. They have so much space, so much to hold, they need a great deal of stimulation just to feel normal. In social settings they may come across as very hyper, very loud, very extra, always doing the most, eager to please everyone (its similar but different to Jupiter energy). This over-attachment to the physical or sensorial realm means that its hard for them to transcend beyond it to attain true spiritual liberation. They can never fully let go because its very scary to be cut off that way. Its like floating in space, nothing to hold on to, no gravity, nothing to fall on, you can't stay still, its all very disorienting.
The reason Ketu is considered inauspicious is because it causes extreme detachment from everything. These natives don't have a strong sense of self, they feel themselves dissolve almost and they're always wandering in search of something to connect to. This complete lack of attachment to anything material or concrete means that these natives lack grounding. In order to care about something you have to be firmly rooted in reality and Ketuvians struggle with this because they're never fully here. They may intellectually understand or support social causes but its a torso without a head, which means they dont have the energy to be committed to sustaining interest in anything. They're the type of people who go through a lot of different "phases". One can only transcend if one is connected to life in the first place, these natives aren't. It DOES make spiritual understanding easier and Ketu is considered one of the most spiritual planets but it is difficult to be rooted or grounded in this or be disciplined about it because like I said Ketu is detached. They inherently understand certain spiritual truths but its very rare (unless other positive placements are present) for these natives to fully immerse themselves in spiritual pursuits.
Tumblr media
(table by me😎hehe)
Its very interesting to me that none of the Nodal naks have the purushartha ("motivation") of Moksha (liberation). All 6 naks are evenly split between Artha, Kama & Dharma.
This again points to how even though Nodal influence helps one grasp spiritual concepts better and naturally embody certain spiritual truths, these natives are not motivated by it.
But often what happens is that these natives are unable to enjoy or benefit from their successes. Their lives are full of ups and downs. The shadowy nature of the planets and the fact that the lack of physical existence of these planets creates a very "boundary less" energy that makes them susceptible to every kind of influence, good and bad.
Pierce Brosnan- Ardra Moon
Pierce Brosnan’s hardships pretty much started at the very beginning. Born into a poor family in rural Ireland, he was swiftly abandoned by his father, who he would only go on to meet once. His mother was forced to send him to live with his grandparents while she worked as a nurse in England, then his aunt and uncle, and then onto a boarding house. His mother visited twice a year until he could move to England at age 11, at which point he became the focus of school bullies.
In 1980, Brosnan married Cassandra Harris and adopted the 3 children of her late-husband, adding one more to the mix for good measure. But in 1991, Cassandra died in his arms after a 4 year battle with ovarian cancer, which would later go on to take the life of their 41 year old daughter Charlotte in 2013. By then, he had become estranged from his son Chris, who had a major drug problem resulting in fights, thefts, and 2 drunk-driving crashes in 2 years. The crashes may have been the straw that broke the camel’s back, as Brosnan had already narrowly avoided losing his son Sean at 13, after Sean’s cousin drunkenly drove off a 200-foot cliff. In 2015, the $18-million Malibu home he lived in caught fire and sustained $1 million in damages.
Kelsey Grammar, Shatabhisha Sun, Mars in Ashwini, Ketu in Ardra
Kelsey Grammer’s troubles started early in life, with his parents splitting up when he was just two years old. His mother’s parents took them in, and helped raise Kelsey until he was 12, when his grandfather died of cancer. The following year, his father was murdered by a home intruder who had started a fire, all in front of his new family.
Then in 1975, Grammer’s 18 year old sister Karen was abducted, raped, and murdered by four men who left her for dead. Sadly, Karen had enough strength to make it to a nearby house, where bloody handprints revealed she was attempting to ring the door. The house was empty. Kelsey identified his sister’s body one week later. 2 years later, both of his half-brothers died in a scuba diving accident.
Shockingly, Grammer has appeared at the parole hearings of the last remaining member of the gang who killed his sister. In 2014, he spoke directly to the killer at the hearing, stating “You could not have come to a better person in the world than me to advocate for someone who has made some bad choices. I accept your apology. I forgive you. However, I cannot give your release my endorsement. To give that a blessing would be a betrayal of my sister’s life.
Nicki Minaj- Mula Stellium (Mercury, Venus & Ketu)
Throughout her childhood, Minaj had to contend with her abusive, drug-addicted father, who would regularly beat her mother, punch holes in the walls, get arrested, and sell their possessions for drug money. At one point, he attempted to kill her mother by lighting the house on fire. Despite all this, the pair are still together, and Dad apparently isn’t too happy when she tells that story. To this, she says “It’s the price you pay when you abuse drugs and alcohol. Maybe one day your daughter will be famous and talk to every magazine about it, so think about that, dads out there who want to be crazy.” Nicki is currently married to a paedophile and convicted rapist so there's that as well.
Terrence Howard, Mula Moon, Ashwini Venus conjunct Saturn
Terrence Howard suffered physical abuse not only at the hands of his father, but his mother as well. When he was two, he witnessed his father stab a man to death, for which he was convicted of manslaughter. His mother raised him until his father was released, at which point they divorced, and he was sent to live with his grandparents. At age 16, Howard had himself legally emancipated, moved to New York, and lived off welfare while he tried to make it as an actor. While that was undoubtedly one of the hardest decisions he will ever make, it seems it was the right one.
Jennifer Hudson, Shatabhisha Moon
In 2008, Jennifer Hudson's mother, Darnell Donnerson (57) and her brother, Jason (29) were shot to death by her estranged brother-in-law, William Balfour. Hudson's nephew, Julian (7), was reported missing, but found three days later dead of multiple gunshot wounds.
Roy Orbison, Ashwini Sun, Jupiter in Mula & Ketu in Ardra
In 1966, Roy Orbison's wife, Claudette Frady, was killed when the couple were riding motorcycles. She was hit by a semi truck and killed instantly. Just two years later, Orbison's house burned down, killing two of his three sons. In 1973, his older brother, Grady, was killed in an auto accident while traveling to spend thanksgiving with Orbison.
Shania Twain, Magha Sun, Mars in Swati She was born into poverty with five siblings in rural Canada. Throughout her childhood, she endured and witnessed abuse to her mother from her stepfather, who lived with the family. Aside from the abuse, her family often didn't have money to have food for lunch or shoes for the winter. Even more tragic, her parents were killed in a car accident when she was 22 years old, and Twain began singing gigs to provide for her siblings. She told Oprah Winfrey in a sit-down interview, "Coming from where I came from, it was unimaginable to ever be wealthy. That was just too far out of my reach." She then went on to become one of the best selling female pop and country artists of all time.
Ashley Judd, Ashwini Sun & Mercury, Magha Jupiter & Ascendant
This actress comes from a famous family, with both her mother and half-sister being country music artists. Judd’s parents divorced when she was four, and she moved all around the southern United States while her mother sought success, attending over a dozen schools. Judd is the survivor of three sexual assaults, and one of these awful instances resulted in an unwanted pregnancy, which Judd terminated. The harmful treatment didn’t stop there. Judd alleges that she was also sexually harassed by Harvey Weinstein, whom she later sued.
Christina Aguilera, Mula Sun
Christina’s father Fausto worked for the US Army, meaning that the family moved around a lot, even going as far as Japan. On top of this lack of stability, her father emotionally and physically abused her. Her parents divorced when Aguilera was six, and she subsequently became estranged from her father. Aguilera used music to escape her turbulent home life, and her talent was obvious from a young age. This talent took her far, and she is now one of the highest-selling artists in the history of music.
Tumblr media
Reza Pahlavi and his wife, Princess Soraya, Ardra Stellium (sun, mercury & venus)
Soraya was his favourite wife and supposedly his "true love", but since she was infertile and he had no sons from his other marriage, he had to divorce her to marry another woman, Farah Pahlavi, Ardra Moon, Magha Rising (who did end up giving him 2 sons out of 4 children). Soraya lived in Paris following their divorce and did fall in love again but she did not live a very happy life (her partner died in a plane crash). Farah Pahlavi's reign as Queen was cut short by the Iranian revolution following which both Reza & Farah were exiled from their own country, they lived in many places, Reza passed away 2 years into exile and Farah has since lived in obscurity in the United States. 2 out of her 4 children committed suicide and it is widely assumed that the family has gone broke.
Tragedy can happen to anyone and no nakshatra or planet will protect or prevent it but Rahu influence creates sudden gains and losses. What is quickly gained is also quickly lost. This is why Rahu is deeply connected to entertainment because not only is the entertainment industry entirely illusory, it also does not guarantee anything. You're a glorified freelancer basically. If you're not wise, you can lose everything in minutes. There is so much temptation all around you, you're surrounded by so many false promises and its very easy to lose yourself in all of it. We often see celebrities and idolize their easy lives but very very very few get to be stars their whole lives and live lives of convenience and comfort. For 90& of people its a very scary, tragic, difficult experience of immense highs and lows.
Nodal success feels dissatisfactory because Nodal people are unable to ground themselves in anything solid (unless other aspects that can do this are present) its very very easy for them to lose themselves in Maya or to be so completely detached that they do the necessary "maintenance" work that it takes to be a fully involved human being in anything.
Many say that the reason Farah Pahlavi's life was so tragic was because she took Princess Soraya's rightful place and Soraya's sadness had "cursed" Reza & Farah's marriage. that's stuff of urban myth but don't you think its interesting that a woman who wasn't of noble birth, rose to the ranks of Queen at the age of 21, lived a life of luxury very few can even conceive of and produced 2 male heirs!! which is all that the King wanted🙄🙄but ultimately none of it mattered? Reza having an "heir" made no difference because the Iranian Revolution overthrew the monarchy, they had to leave their palace, their luxuries, their maids and servants and every kind of comfort behind to live like nobodies in exile. They watched their treasury grow smaller and smaller year after year and obviously, no one was used to "working" so nobody got a job to take care of themselves or the others (I mean Farah and her 4 kids btw). They can never go back to their homeland or regain what was once lost. They're in a position that very few (other exiled royals) can relate to. They are socially and culturally isolated. All of these are Nodal themes.
Another Princess with nodal placements and a similarly tragic life is Princess Diana, Ardra Sun & Mercury with Moon conjunct Ketu
Tumblr media
There are many royals who've lived more moderate lives or less tragic lives. Having it all and losing it all is a very Nodal theme.
It reminds me of SUGA's Interlude by Halsey (Swati stellium) where she sings:
I been trying all my life To separate the time In between the having it all And giving it up, yeah (Hey) I wonder what's in store If I don't love it anymore (Hey) Step between the having it all And giving it up, yeah (Hey)
Success is a very illusory experience for these natives. Its like trying to build sandcastles on the shore. I am by no means suggesting that Nodal people can't be successful, just that if they depend on "success" to give their life meaning, they're setting themselves up for failure. You ruin anything you singlehandedly obsess over, its important to know when to stop, when to withdraw.
These natives tend to go to extremes just to feel something
Tumblr media
Zayn Malik- Shatabhisha Rising and Gigi Hadid- Ashwini Sun & Rising
idk anything about their sex life together but if we're to go by the songs then its 👀 giving bdsm
After that horrendous Revati video that Claire did years ago (and has deleted since I think) people associate BDSM, sexual deviancy and all around freakish behaviour with Revatis but you know who is actually crazy in bed? Nodal people
pornography impacts the brain much like an addictive drug by triggering ever-increasing amounts of dopamine. Over time, the brain builds up a tolerance to the excess dopamine and requires either more access or more extreme content (or sometimes both) to achieve that same level of perceived pleasure. In short, when viewing pornography, your brain gets less pleasure while wanting more, often causing desensitization and an escalation in behavior.
Kanye West, Venus & Mars in Ashwini
Kanye West's first encounter with sexual desire came during early childhood, fueling a dependency on sex that would set in during adulthood. “My dad had a Playboy left out at age 5 and it’s affected almost every choice I made for the rest of my life," West told Elle in 2019. "From age 5 till now, having to kick the habit and it just presents itself in the open like it's OK and I stand up and say, ‘No, it's not OK.’” The singer also credited his faith in God with helping him overcome his struggles. James Franco, Ashwini Sun
Actor James Franco developed an addiction to sex while he was recovering from an addiction to alcohol. On The Jess Cagle Podcast, he admitted to sleeping with students who were attending an acting school he previously ran. “It’s such a powerful drug,” he said. “I got hooked on it for 20 more years. The insidious part of that is that I stayed sober from alcohol all that time.” Since 2016, Franco has been in recovery from sex addiction and continues to work towards a healthy lifestyle.
Billie Eilish, Mula Stellium (Sun, mercury & ketu)
Billie Eilish went through her own struggles with pornography addiction after viewing her first pornographic video at only 11 years old. In an interview on The Howard Stern Show, the "Bad Guy" singer said she used to watch porn to feel like "one of the guys," but has since distanced herself from it entirely. "I think it really destroyed my brain and I feel incredibly devastated that I was exposed to so much porn,"
Charlie Sheen, Mula Moon
he is a pretty well known sex addict and sexual assaulter :/
Michael Douglas, Mula Moon
He's been candid about his struggles with alcohol and sex addiction. Michael even went so far as to say that his throat cancer was caused by performing oral sex on so many women.
Every good thing can be "bad" if its used as a coping mechanism and this includes sex.
Ketuvians are like black holes that absorb all the light, they have to suck everything in. They absorb easily but they don't feel rooted in anything beyond a short period of time. many say that Nodal natives have no moral compass or that they're thrill chasers or that they're not "good people" but honestly Nodal energies are just really hard to master. some people turn it into art, or work or something else where they can channel their obsessive energies fully without holding back. compartmentalizing things is hard for these natives so its important to have areas where you can go all out whilst exercising some modicum of boundary or balance in others.
Maladaptive daydreaming is another big struggle for Nodal people. they're also prone to nihilism and cynicism because they can't enjoy life in the same way as they need a lot of stimulation (they're desensitized to ordinary levels of stimulation of any kind). This means they struggle to find meaning in life. Apathy is their natural state of being. Its just hard to care because in order to care you have to be firmly rooted which Nodal people are not.
Tumblr media
This is a quote by Werner Herzog, Ardra Moon who is a filmmaker known for his nihilism and scepticism.
Tumblr media
Dos Passos did not have any major placements in any Nodal naks save for his Mars in Mula and Rahu in Shatabhisha but I thought his quote by him really explained things
The real danger of Nodal influence is the indifference and apathy that its natives experience. But Nodal influence is such that you have no place in reality, you exist in the shadows, you live behind the curtain, when your whole life is one long tunnel its hard to "care" or be immersed enough to fully take in their feelings. Nodal natives experience emotional impermanence which means that if you do not actively see proof of or feel a particular emotion, you believe it does not exist. they have to consistently see "proof" of your love for them to believe you. they seldom believe that the feelings others have for them are "real". they think they are the only constant in their life.
its hard for these natives to be passive and consume something without interacting with it. Moon dominants thrive in passivity whereas Rahuvians need to become one with that thing to truly experience it. Ketu also craves this sort of complete union but its different since Ketu pulls you into themselves whereas Rahu wants to pull themselves into you.
Nodal influence creates natives with a very nebulous self-perception and identity. They do not know who they are, they are a mystery even to themselves. Do you ever talk to a guy and think that he has no personality because its hard for him to list favourites or describe what he likes or dislikes etc? He probably has Ketuvian influence. Ketu people try on new aesthetics/personalities like its a makeover game, for a couple of months they'll have a hippie phase, now they're emo, later they're into retro glam or whatever. they like to try on different personas to see which one they like the best, i know this sounds kind of creepy?? but its truly because Ketu natives lack identity and rely on external things to give them a sense of self. This is why they're very uninvolved in the lives of others. They cannot give themselves too much because they dont know enough about themselves to "give" to others.
In vedic mythology, at the beginning of time when the devas and asuras churned the ocean of milk to extract from it the amrita (the elixir of immortality) Mohini, the female avatar of Vishnu, started distributing amrita to the devas. However, one of the asuras, Svarbhanu, sat in the row of devas and drank the amrita. Surya and Chandra noticed him and they informed Mohini; however, by that time, Svarbhanu had already become immortal. Vishnu, as Mohini, cut off Svarbhanu's head with his discus. Svarbhanu, henceforth referred to as Rahu and Ketu, could not die, but his head was separated from his body; his head came to be known as Rahu, while his body came to be known as Ketu.
Pertaining to this origin story, I have noticed how people with Nodal influence seldom benefit from "nourishing energy". This could mean they were neglected as children, lacked a good family environment, were abused or taken advantage of by others in their life (all of this is also subject to other placements in ones chart). Svarbhanu was a demon who temporarily became immortal because of a mistake. Like I mentioned with fame and success before, these natives struggle to "maintain" what they achieve, especially because their early lives were marked with deprivation of some sort. This could also mean absent parent figures. But there is a sense of "you shouldn't have been where you were".
Rahu energy manifests often as a very manic hyperactive energy
youtube
Ranveer Singh is the best example I could think of. He is known in the media for being an eccentric, hyperactive, loud cokehead lmao
He has Ardra Sun, Shatabhisha Moon
Ketu energy is more detached, more reserved, still weird and chaotic but overall less "hyper"
youtube
This interview with Lady Gaga is a good example, usually the people being interviewed are walking or moving around and trying to pretend its not scripted but she just sat there for the whole thing lol
Gaga has both Rahu & Ketu influence
She has Rahu in Ashwini in 1h as well as Swati Moon conjunct Ketu
i know i said last time ill make a post about the positive manifestations of nodal influence but its gonna have to wait a little longer 😬😬these are just some things i observed and i thought i should share them. hope this was informative.

12th house through the signs
ARIES: You value your individuality and prefer to maintain a sense of self, even in emotionally charged situations. You're highly empathetic, and while this can be an asset, it can also be overwhelming. Taking time to recharge and find inner balance is important to you. You recognize that competitiveness can sometimes lead to tension and animosity, and you strive to avoid coming across as arrogant or pretentious. You prefer to focus on building positive relationships with others. You believe in the power of new ideas to challenge and improve the world, but you also understand the potential for resistance and conflict. You prioritize non-violent means of advocating for change and seek to avoid causing harm or pain to others. When you're comfortable, you're able to handle difficult situations with ease. You may appear reserved in group settings, but in one-on-one situations, you can be surprisingly assertive and confident. You prefer to keep your plans private until they're ready to be shared with others.
TAURUS: To ensure a happy life, it's best to avoid getting caught up in legal issues or negative conflicts with others(wow, it sounds sooo obvious.. let me continue). This is especially important if you've achieved financial success, as others may try to undermine your position since Taurus is closely linked to morality, value and relantioships, and trying to “corrupt” it can bring you a huge dawnfall. Even in matters of the heart, jealousy can arise and cause problems, so it's best to approach relationships with honesty and openness. If you value solitude and isolation, you may consider pursuing a spiritual path, such as joining a monastery or practicing religious beliefs. While you prioritize security, you may not always allow it into your life as much as you'd like, which can make you appear less stable than you really are. However, you have a grounding energy that benefits those around you, and you possess a serene and forgiving nature when at ease. You also work hard when in a comfortable environment. If you experience emotional challenges, you may struggle with bouts of depression and may feel the need to make amends even if it comes at a financial cost. But remember, losses can be regained, and life will continue on its normal path.
GEMINI: It's great to be aware of your emotions and take note if you ever feel resentful or have negative feelings towards others. It's important to understand that these emotions may arise due to something that was said, possibly by a family member or neighbor. Although these emotions may not come up right away, it's helpful to remember that they could come up later in conversation and cause further conflict. To prevent any issues, it's best to avoid making prejudiced remarks in written notes or documents, as they could potentially be used against you. It's also crucial to read contracts carefully, paying close attention to the fine print to avoid any misunderstandings that could leave you without legal ground. In situations where you encounter unfair criticism or insinuations, it's best to let them pass and focus on your own ideas and creativity. When you're alone, your active mind comes up with amazing ideas and clever wit. However, sometimes emotions can cloud your judgment, so it's important to balance them with reason and rational thinking. It's always a good idea to be prepared for the possibility of theft or someone taking credit for your ideas without permission. While this shouldn't cause any contention, it's important to be aware of it. You may also encounter secret opponents who are constantly plotting against you. These opponents may be intelligent, so it's important to handle communication with caution to avoid any potential escalation of conflicts.
CANCER: Family is an important part of life, but it's no secret that conflicts can arise within family relationships. Misunderstandings and conflicts of interest can strain family ties, leading to ill will and sadness. However, this is not a regular occurrence, and most of the time, family relationships are a source of joy and comfort. When it comes to dealing with family conflict, it's important to communicate openly and resolve issues as quickly as possible. For example, when dealing with wills, it's wise for all parties involved to understand the terms to avoid any unpleasant surprises. You're a sensitive person who values your privacy, and you tend to keep your emotions to yourself. However, you're also aware of the impact your actions can have on others, and you strive to be more considerate of their feelings. You're not immune to criticism, and negative judgments can sting even if you don't show it outwardly. It's important to acknowledge your feelings and work through them in a healthy way. If you keep everything bottled up inside, it can take a toll on your well-being.
LEO: Life can be full of ups and downs, and sometimes we may encounter situations that cause us to feel resentful. For example, if we get into a public or political battle, it can often result in bitterness and negative feelings. Similarly, false rumors or scandals can damage our reputation and lead to animosity in social settings. To avoid this, it's important to maintain a positive public image and uphold our ethical standards. When it comes to matters of the heart, it's essential to be open and honest. Hidden connections or misleading intentions can cause misunderstandings and hurt feelings. It's also important to remember that everyone has their own unique talents and abilities, so we should focus on doing our best and supporting others rather than trying to outshine them. While it can be tempting to seek the limelight, sometimes we are at our best when we are working behind the scenes. You have a natural ability to lead and inspire others, even when you're not in the spotlight. You also have a big heart and enjoy helping those in need, whether it's through charitable work or simply lending a listening ear. At times, it can be challenging to reconcile the imbalances of the world, and this can lead to feelings of nihilism. However, it's important to remember that there is always hope and that small actions can make a big difference. With your compassion and drive, you have the power to create positive change in the world.
VIRGO: You're someone who's really good at avoiding feelings of hatred or animosity in your life, which is a great trait to have. Your conscience usually guides you away from anything that could potentially harm your character, although there may be times when you're unaware of certain things happening around you. It's important to watch out for any internal conflicts that you may have, as you can be your own worst enemy sometimes. When it comes to criticism from others, it's always good to keep an open mind and listen to constructive feedback. One thing to keep in mind is to be careful about what you say or write about your coworkers or friends, as anything negative or unflattering could lead to legal trouble. Although you may have a critical eye, you usually take your time to think things through before speaking. In relaxed situations, you tend to be sensible, quiet, and meticulous, but make sure to share your thoughts and feelings instead of bottling them up. Sometimes you may get caught up in the details and forget about the bigger picture, but that's okay! It's just important to not let trivial matters get in the way of what's really important. Overall, you've got some great qualities and it's important to be mindful of them as you go about your day.
LIBRA: When it comes to what people say or do behind your back, you've got luck on your side. Your strong sense of justice and balance keeps you grounded and helps you maintain a clear perspective on life. But here's a friendly tip: if your marriage is going through a rough patch, it's best to avoid any unnecessary drama and stay true to your values. Sometimes, when a partnership is on the rocks, it can lead to creating adversaries. Yikes! In business, it's smart to establish clear agreements and arrangements ahead of time to avoid any misunderstandings later on. And here's something to consider: could your marriage arrangement potentially turn into a business partnership? Working with others might not be your cup of tea, so having a business partner might not be the best fit for you. You've got this go-getter attitude, but you also have a romantic and diplomatic side that shines when you're in your element. You're a bit of an introvert, and that's totally cool. You enjoy your alone time and sometimes feel a tad uncomfortable when you're thrust into social situations. It's normal to feel a bit anxious or experience some mental sadness when you're first stepping into the outside world. But hey, don't worry too much. Take it at your own pace, and you'll find your groove. One thing to note is that you're not a big fan of conversations centered around morals and justice. It can be tricky to interpret what you're saying, leading to some pretty intense conflicts. So, it's best to find other ways to communicate your thoughts and feelings without diving too deep into those moral debates.
SCORPIO: Life can throw some unseen influences your way, or you might find yourself making connections with people that expose you to unknown risks. It's like you stumble into situations without even realizing it, and it can be pretty risky. For example, getting involved with someone who's already married without knowing it. Even though you're completely innocent, it puts you in a potentially dangerous spot. Or maybe you have a jealous or possessive spouse who suspects something fishy is going on, even when it's not. Just be careful not to jump to conclusions or make accusations until you're absolutely sure. This area of life is pretty hazy, and it can be tough to figure out what's really going on. But here's the thing, your inner senses are super sharp and active in this domain, so trust your gut instincts. You've got this fascination with secrets and a knack for avoiding taboo viewpoints. Trust me, you're more powerful than anyone realizes, including yourself. When people notice intense emotional interactions happening around you, they might think you're feeling lonely. But really, this aspect of life is innocent and doesn't bother you as much as they might think. It's like you're trapped in a psychological prison that's tough to break free from, but you've got the strength to overcome it. So, my friend, navigate those friendships with care and trust your instincts when it comes to hidden influences. You've got the power to overcome any challenges that come your way.
SAGITTARIUS: When it comes to dealing with hostility or animosity from others, you can expect minimal issues. Your good-natured personality rarely makes enemies, and you never put yourself in a position where you betray yourself. On rare occasions, there might be instances when certain individuals become angry with you, perhaps due to some stroke of luck that turns sour. You might even have a lucky streak that occurs in unusual circumstances. Financial losses, if they happen, could be a result of unforeseen expenses. In other rare scenarios, you might find yourself defending your religious beliefs or being isolated because of them, especially if you're living in a foreign land or culture. You might come across someone who isn't particularly spiritual or religious, but who is philosophical and curious about different beliefs when they're at ease. You have a great sense of humor and know how to have a good time with your loved ones when you're together. You're willing to prioritize the needs of others over your own. However, be cautious of later regretting sacrifices made without careful consideration. You're an optimistic person who expects good things to happen in many situations in life. This positive outlook is a valuable trait as it allows you to receive recognition from others and focus on personal growth.
CAPRICORN: It's possible that you tend to suppress and disregard your inner desires, and you might even have moments of paranoia. It's important for you to make peace with the aspects of yourself that you've disconnected from. Your deep understanding of life's truths helps shield you to some extent when others try to undermine your position or authority behind your back. In most cases, you're patient and understanding, which reduces the likelihood of developing hatred or hostility. However, this might become an issue in the workplace or within a company, especially due to competition or a strong drive to advance your career. Despite your good sense of tact, others may perceive you as cold and uncaring because of your lack of overt sensitivity. Of course, that perception only exists in the minds of those who believe that breaking the rules is the only way to "get ahead," which you know is simply not true. Subconsciously, you may feel like you're always constrained in life, no matter what. On the surface, you may appear burdened with responsibilities, but when you're alone, relaxed, or away from the spotlight, you're grounded, responsible, and focused.
AQUARIUS: Just a heads up, you gotta be aware of the ever-changing dynamics when it comes to other people's behavior. You might have friends from various backgrounds, but it's possible that some of them might turn against you or take a stand against your principles, position, or even your status in life for some reason. On the flip side, in weird situations, you might actually see someone who used to be your adversary come back around and become a friend. So, when it comes to animosity or enmity from others, expect the unexpected. But let's talk about your independence because it's a big deal for you. You strongly react to any constraints or limitations imposed on you, and that can ruffle some feathers among those who want to see you fit into the mold. Beneath it all, you're more humanitarian than you might appear, and you've got a mission to help others in this crazy life. When you're feeling at ease, you're inventive, independent, and rebellious. Dealing with people in a group setting can be a bit challenging for you, though. You're not really interested in reaching a wide consensus on progress or embracing new ideas. These kinds of conversations can leave you feeling a bit lonely and detached.
PISCES: The people around you may possess a sense of intrigue or duplicity, which can create animosity or work against you in secretive ways. Friendly gestures or advances might be misunderstood, and it's important for you to have psychic awareness and see beyond superficial intentions. When something appears too good to be true, it's wise to take a closer look as it could be a scam, potentially causing financial loss and affecting your self-confidence. It's crucial to avoid getting involved in anything illegal or connected to illicit drugs, as you don't want to become a scapegoat and pay the consequences. You may encounter opposition from individuals who are offended by your actions, inactions, words, or even thoughts. Most of this petty conflict can be avoided by standing up for your ideas and principles. You may come across someone who is assertive and aggressive in ways that differ from your own nature. They may appear gentle, compassionate, and sensitive when alone or at ease. It's essential for you to learn to express these qualities in public without fear. You might also have hidden adversaries who disguise themselves as close friends, making it challenging to identify their true intentions. Such acts of betrayal can disrupt your life plans, leading to sadness and a loss of vital interest.

Rahu/North Node in Vedic Astrology differs vastly compared to western tropical astrology hence take your time reading this post to grasp a better understanding of Rahu’s nature! <3
Rahu/North Node and Ketu/South Node are the moon's two nodes, which are astronomically points where the moon's orbit around the earth intersects the ecliptic. These two nodes are always 180 degrees apart and are extremely important in your chart because they represent the influence of the Earth on you. In a nutshell, the nodes represent your karmic balance and your progress toward spirituality. According to our Sanatan Dharma, there is always a push and pull between attraction and detachment. Rahu represents attachments and Ketu represents disassociation from this world of illusions, the domain of Mahamaya. These two can either drown you in a sea of illusions or lift you above to realise your true nature.
Ketu represents your progress toward Parameshwar. According to the lore, these two forces/grahas were once one entity but were separated by Vishnu's power and now exist as two points of power. Rahu is the head that exists apart from the body, and Ketu is the headless body. Rahu is only a thought; it has no body to carry out its plans. It will plot but cannot work for it because it lacks hands, feet, and a body. It is a jumble of all desires, planning and plotting, and ways to subvert the system in order to obtain what it is drawn to. A Rahu personality is frequently characterized by the following groups, pretending to belong to both while actually belonging to neither.
Rahu is the master of deceptions. Rahu is the agent of ambition in a horoscope. Rahu desires everything, regardless of entitlement. Mars, for example, will work for it, while Rahu will learn the skills, train, and then compete with crushing force to win. Rahu, on the other hand, will squirm its way through, take big risks, and want to win by any means necessary. It manages to dazzle with its abilities, sinuous like a snake and mesmerising. But, just as Rahu appears to be achieving its goal, it overreaches, its deception is exposed, and it falls spectacularly. It desires the 'progession of desire,' not the 'repurcussion of desire.' Rahu is never satisfied.
Rahu's favourite ambition is to obtain social privileges available to those from a higher social class than the one in which he lives. Rahu will go to any length to obtain them. And Saturn is the only planet that can limit Rahu's ambitions and bring him down, because Saturn is the strict one who follows the rules and punishes those who break them. Saturn is also the force that governs the masses and enforces the social structure. Saturn does not approve of a socially disruptive Rahu in Saturn's domain, so Rahu is unveiled.
But Rahu never relinquishes; it strives again and again, and the cycle continues indefinitely. Rahu represents ambitions rather than fulfilment. As a result, by Rahu's very nature, he cannot have what he so desperately desires. Recognize this pattern in your own life. Rahu is always a 'pretender,' but it is unaware that it is. Even if Rahu obtains them, he will not be fulfilled.
✿ Rahu in Aries: This Rahu aspires to be prominent, able to compete, to push forward, to be the first, to conquer, and to be a role model in the lenses of society.
✿ Rahu in Taurus: Rahu in Taurus natives seeks the act of exploring and accumulating, they demand to acquire treasures. They crave money, wealth, prosperity, possessions and affluence. They wish to be recognised by society as materialistic and preserver of assets and wealth.
✿ Rahu in Gemini: Rahu craves conversations and connections here. They flaunt about receiving messages from greater rank and feels advantaged to be a messenger for the upper class. They long to be with brothers, sisters, and neighbours.
✿ Rahu in Cancer: They seek safety in all of its forms, including mother, accommodation, vehicles, land, and so on. They are enthralled by ethnic culture, particularly maternal culture, and is drawn to patriotism for its homeland.
✿ Rahu in Leo: Rahu in Leo wants to be the centre of attention. They appear to be a dramatic personality who craves the spotlight and all forms of creativity. They have the ability to express themselves creatively but lacks depth. They are deeply attached to their own children because they are the ultimate expression of the creative force. They are frequently caught up in reckless speculation. They desire education as well, and while he may have a lot of degrees, his knowledge will be superficial.
✿ Rahu in Virgo: Rahu in Virgo desires to be of service; they wish for society to recognise them as a martyr for a cause. They will be drawn to addictions, assertions, sicknesses, and feelings of inadequacy, and being a perpetrator would always enthral him.
✿ Rahu in Libra: Rahu in Libra wants to demonstrate their ability in diplomacy, negotiations, deals, and agreements. They will strive for balance and equality on the surface, but from within, as it always is, they are their own person.
✿ Rahu in Scorpio: Rahu in Scorpio is drawn to mysteries, deceptions, discovery, mysticism, and long-buried treasures. They will seek out less travelled roads, as well as physical and subconscious destinations. They could be an excellent tantric or perform magic.
✿ Rahu in Sagittarius: Rahu in Sagittarius appears to be a pedantical humanitarian with lofty goals. They want to guide and show off their paternal half. They are in pursuit of better philosophy, as evidenced by outward displays of religious fanaticism.
✿ Rahu in Capricorn: Rahu in Capricorn is obsessed with social status and a high position in the social hierarchy. They want privacy in their personal lives while also wanting to be part of the social elite, money, and position. They want to make rules and are concerned about their social standing.
✿ Rahu in Aquarius: Rahu in Aquarius desires businesses, hustle and bustle, human networks and their interconnections. Strangers and novices are their purview. They want to be a part of the community. They seek social recognition as a result of their involvement in social activities.
✿ Rahu in Pisces: Rahu in Pisces is drawn to the subconscious, or fantasise states. They seek guidance from ancestral spirits as well as intuition. They are enthralled by the spiritual, meditation, and contemplation.
Look at Rahu/Ketu placement, the houses they occupy, and their influences on the other planets, whether conjunct or opposite, the next time you look at your chart. You will gain an understanding of the spiritual foundation of your life. What piques your interest and what irritates you. These two forces are your deepest instincts, and they are so deeply ingrained in you that they influence everything you do. Understand them and you will gain a better understanding of yourself, your goals, and your sympathies.
** disclaimer: these are the general descriptions of each signs/rashi when Rahu is placed in this rashi. Keep in mind to check other placements that is aspecting this graha/planet if you find no relevance in this.

Rahu and Ketu
Credit @moonastrogirl
Rahu and Ketu come both from the same body. Rahu is the dragon’s head and Ketu is the dragon’s body. They are both shadow planets so they BOTH have negative effects no matter the narrative on Rahu being more harmful than Ketu.
If they are in negative houses such as 6th house, 8th house (this house gives mix results, check out comment’s section for more on this house) and 12th house, their energy can be quiet useful. Especially if Rahu is in 6th house and Ketu is in 12th house and vice-versa. Those placements give more excellent results than bad ones.
Rahu is about action, Rahu is about heaven, bringing awareness and fighting for what’s right. Rahu has an unstoppable energy. But it has a crazy hunger. It wants more and more each time. And brings changes for the sake of it sometimes. 6th house is daily tasks, daily life, work and enemies. It gives Rahu the perfect playground to make things happen and win against enemies and opponents. Rahu works well also in 1st, 3rd, 10th and 12th house.
Ketu is down to earth, unsatisfied with material things and wants to attain spiritual enlightenment. Ketu is also blind so it cannot see but thanks to its spiritual work and gifts it can see thinks everyone cannot. That’s why 12th house is perfect for it, Ketu gets spiritual enlightenment there and gets strength. Ketu works well too in 3rd, 6th and 9th house.
Ketu ruled people are calm, detached and collected. They have a natural charisma that bring people to them thanks to their calm nature. They have easy access to money and possessions but they are unsatisfied with what they have. They do things with the purpose to get something but they don’t know what. They usually have little energy but they have great business skills and can get wealth easily. They are even like bored with people most of the time. They want what it’s not seen. Been enlightened through spirituality.
Those people make also excellent politicians or well known public figures because they are easily loved by the masses. But the negative effect is those people are more than likely overly religious or so worried with spiritual matters to the point it can enslave them and their followers/voters. So even if their intentions can be good they can end up creating issues making people not trust them at the end. They can also feel so numb that they will do anything to feel something : excessive sexual activities, drugs, manipulative tendencies to see how far someone can actually be their follower or puppet. This is the low vibrational energy of Ketu.
Rahu ruled people are the activists, the innovators. The head of the dragon see things. It can see what is happening on earth. It has also an endless hunger. Rahu’s energy is electrifying. Most of these people want change for the greater good but they are so innovative and see the future that they are met with many opposition. It’s not easy for them to have a solid following because their vision is so peculiar except if they work for the greater good and have pure intentions only. Plus they can also become the activists turning their energy into bad deeds. Becoming a criminal or too greedy that their actions don’t align no more with the greater good. This is the low vibrational energy of Rahu.
They both need to mature and evolve to tap into their true potential.
Both Rahu and Ketu can have high qualities or very low tendencies. But their energy is nothing more than pure karma in action. They are the yin and the yang. They both need each other.
Rahu is the crown chakra and Ketu is the root chakra. So if you are Rahu ruled, work on your root chakra, it’s probably weak. And if you are Ketu ruled, work on your crown chakra, it’s probably weak too.
2023 is a Ketu ruled year. It’s a 7 year in numerology which is the number of Ketu so it’s best for each and everyone to work on their spirituality and their belief system. But without falling in the low vibrational energy of Ketu. This year also started with a death sort of energy in astrology and now it’s the rebirth period for everyone. So it’s time for everyone to grow into the best version of themselves while having faith in what is meant and waiting for them.
Thank you for reading me and if you enjoyed my post, like it, leave a comment or reblog it. It will mean a lot for me and show me what I do it’s actually helpful to you 💜
