Nefarian Serpine [Pixel Chibi]

Trying out Blockbench with my fav test subject, Nefarian Serpine from the Skulduggery Pleasant series! Reimagined as a chibified video game character, perhaps for a DS or PlayStation game. We should have had an SP game between 2007 and 2010, preferably for the PS2 and no one can change my mind on that. He has 10/10 for attack and 3/10 for defence because Nef would absolutely be a glass canon type of character AKA hits hard but is taken out easily. He’s best paired with Baron for those much needed shield buffs! .3.

This was done following the tutorial by Brandon James Greer on YT.

Remember the Skul and Val mock-up enamel pins I posted a while ago? 

u/Willboss27 (on Reddit) wanted Nef, Mev and Baron versions. Ask and you shall receive! And bc I’m a simp I also threw in an Unnamed version, trying to do things a little differently with this one bc he’s just built different.

I’m VERY happy with how Nef turned out, but am really not sure about Baron. Mev is my version of Mev of course.

EDIT: Did some minor changed to Nef and Baron.

This was meant for Mermay but I'm over a month late bc I can't concentrate to save my life RIP

It's a continuation of this mermay pic from a few years ago.

While Mevolent's first mate, Baron Vengeous, was away Vile used the chance to stage a mutiny against Mev (for being too soft) and he ended up being stripped of his captain's attire and thrown overboard with an anchor tied around his ankle.

Mer!Nef recognized him as the human captain who had been accidentally feeding him and curiously swam over to him. Poor Mev thinks he's gonna get eaten and even so bravely stares down death, fully intending to not get eaten without at least putting up a fight. Instead, Nef uses his dagger to cut him free and swim him to the surface where he cuts his hands loose. To Mev's surprise, Nef can speak and quite well too. Nef swims Mev to the nearest isle, saving him from a certain watery death.

Here is what I needed to design the Godkiller Sword for.

Willboss27 (Reddit) wanted Chibi Mev wielding the GK Sword.

I think I finally got the hang of Chibis, I do like this one more than the Chibi Nef one I did earlier tbh. This one is closer to the stereotypical chibi style.

Do you ever want to redraw/redesign your OCs again?

Yeah. Lacrima needs a redesign and her entire lore needs a revamp bc OMG I made the world-building when I was like 13 and it's soooo bad!

And the Eldritch Vers characters all still need their final designs, so far what I drew of them were more exploration drawings than anything else.

believe it or not, me deciding to finish chibi Nef (with his chibi sceptre) around the same time chibi merch releases is pure coincidence, I've started lining one day before release lol

The Unnamed in Caisson's body. I love the idea of the Unnamed having to fight Mev while his hair is in that awkward phase of growing out where you just can't get it out of your face.

Also, forever laughing at the Unnamed passing out as this ancient being of immortal elvish beauty and waking up not only as a fucking twink but also shorter than Mev and he's being so petty about that LMAO usually he wouldn't care, but it's on top of everything else and he's so fucking done-

I thought about the Unnamed's vessels slowly changing to his old appearance over time bc he's almost all-powerful, why wouldn't he be able to re-adjust his physical form to his liking? It would be nice body horror, horrible for the loved ones (imagine Aby watching her son slowly turn into her father, almost too slow to notice but one day she realizes she is no longer looking at her son's face and that he is fully gone now with nothing to even bury) and a nice display of vanity

And blue fire for Mev bc willboss27's (Reddit) Unnamed VS Mev fic convinced me I need to draw Mev with blue fire more often. It just fits him so well with blue fire being hotter than red and it having some big gotta-cleanse-the-damned-with-my-holy-fire vibes.
