Any verse thats not LoZ related has a very polite, inquisitive and frankly 'canon' Zelda in it. She lives up to her name in those verses.
But you put her in the context of the legend and she starts fucking up immediately. Like- without hesitation, she starts blowing holes in the legends and relationships that should be stronger than the flow of time... and i think thats hilarious.

Actually, now that I’m thinking about it- Clockwork Empire would have gotten an M for Mature rating, if only for the disembowelment / trying to survive disembowelment scene in the 100% ending.
It would’ve been the only game with an M rating, as Majora’s Revenge and Hylia’s Lament would’ve gone back to T ratings, because people would be REALLY mad about the 100% ending in the first game and they would’ve backed it down a bit for the next two, while still trying to maintain that ‘adult / mature thing’ they had going on in Twilight Princess.
Though, the Director’s Cut Re-Release of Hylia’s Lament WILL be M Rated, if only because of the scenes where Zelda ‘executes’ her ancestors. They’d be a lot more graphic, fully detailed in the re-release, because fuck you Nintendo, let me girl MURDER her ancestors!

OW!Zelda: I’m giving up! I’ll go back to Vishkar, they can execute me or... dissect me or whatever, I’m good off of this whole ‘Let’s fight Talon’ thing, no mas.

Now that was a sentiment she knew all too well. She couldn’t help but let out a little chuckle as she accepted the outstretched hand.
“Rani. All right. I’ll remember that.”
Both the name itself, and the connotations it carried, if she remembered her vocabulary correctly.
Cautiously placing her boots and taking a deep breath, she paced her way up the extended wing and onto Rhiannon’s back.
It… wasn’t so bad, she reflected, settling herself behind the mechanical steed’s primary rider and checking the placement of her feet.
She’d ridden horses before, after all, delivering messages to other Resistance cells. How much difficult would one made of metal be?
“No need to commit it to memory... I’m sure you’ll be hearing it quite a lot the closer we get to the Capitol...” People were so quick to offer deference and respect to the queen as she moved through the world, these ‘escapes’ into the wilds were often for the sake of her own humility as it was her rational thought.
It took a bit, of course it did, it would always be quite the experience mounting one’s first mechanical steed. For Zelda- Her first time was less hesitant and more. . . explorative, but- Well, the grand experience was the point, the details of the experiment were subjective. “Feel free to grab hold of one of the sails, if things become too rough for you.”
She liked to say she’d take things slow for first time riders, but- Somewhere... Somewhere deep within the wise, aged queen, lay a giddy little princess that recalled days on days of rigorous and unpleasant training at the hands of She who currently sat behind her. Going slow  was not in the cards today.
“HYAH!” A crack of the reins as Zelda called on the words- yawps -of her fated ancestor. Rhiannon, needing no further prodding, took off at a full gallop toward Castle Town. Each step like thunder beneath her hooves as she charged, Zelda leaning into the wind with a smile on her face. Counting the seconds, simply counting them as the winds whipped and wrapped themselves around Rhiannon’s extending sails. From 1 to 10 to 20 and- Finally?
A press of her palm to the green jewel on Rhiannon’s neck, the old girl simply... took to the sky. The shock of a consistent gallop was slowly replaced with the feel of wind buffeting at separate altitudes, the feel of an earth slipping away beneath one’s feet. Serenity, earned in the sky. Zelda laughed as Rhiannon leveled out, the feeling never failing to bring delight out of her. So much so- Well, she’d almost forgotten to check on her dear, honored guest.
    “Still with us, Shiek!?”

Bitting words would only bring a great deal of melancholy. How much did her descendent endure without her? Had she been too late in providing her wisdom? No. She already knew the answer to that. She was late. Far too late. So, in a slow and reluctant manner, her outstretched hand would return to her side and she looks to Zelda with sympathy for she knew too, the pain that the goddesses had bestowed upon them. All they can do is persevere, seeing their destiny through the end.
“My time no longer exists it” for she comes from an era long lost to the sands of time, the legacy of that era still existed. It existed in the many legends weaved by the people. “It has waned away long ago. Here, I remain to guide those I watch over.”
Tumblr media
“Please have faith in me, honorable descendent. I only wish to help in whatever way I can.”
Pfft. Like she didn’t know that THIS ONE was from a land long since dead. Even with Hyrule beneath her feet- Or, beneath her resting body, it was not the same land this old one had left behind. Lost to the ravages of time, torment and eventually terror. Fat load of good ‘Wisdom’ ever did for keeping the peace.
FAITH? Faith in the woman that began this long line of suffering and eternal endurance?! Her blood boiled at the thought, and wrath was supposedly something she’d left behind with Dragmire’s defeat.
Tumblr media
“You can help me by LEAVING ME BE!” A light ripple of twilight magics from the younger. A spike of energy associated with uncontrolled aggression. Forgive her, matron. “You- All of you want only for the cycle to continue. I can not abide by such... selfish thinking. Not now, not ever. Free me from this dream, and don’t call on me again. That’s all the help I’ll ever need from you.”

Gold. Golden, bright, holy light enshrouds the young maiden, cutting through the darkness that swirled around the two. With a gentle smile playing upon her lips, Zelda takes a couple of steps closer to her descendant. This hadn’t been her first time to encounter a descendant to provide wisdom nor will it be her last. However, she did not see this task as a burden, far from it in fact. Should they need help, then she will provide the best she could with her limited ability to interfere.
Tumblr media
“If you are in need of help, please, allow me to guide you.”
@umbracado
Violet. A maelstrom of lights, swirling between violet, onyx and cyan encircled the younger ‘model’ of Wisdom as she took a step away from the kindly outstretched hand of... Well.
“I don’t want your help...” And she meant it. She could tell that this wasn’t reality in it’s truest aspect. Certainly not a false reality, but not- Not where actions and reactions mattered. Not where she’d been left to DIE due to the actions and reactions of this ancient reflection before her.

AND THIS POST HERE? It’s true, it’s been a whole ass month since last I was here, so this post serves THIS purpose:
STARTER CALL. If you’re not on the plotting stage, and you wanna get something going then you press the heart here on this one. If I can come up with an idea (i usually can) i’ll ping you a starter quick. If not, i’ll defer to the plot call and hit you with some ‘schemes’..

No, it usually wasn’t this quiet, and this was the main reason why he was so uptight tonight. Not that he was peculiarly into the philosophical that is. A sort of ominous cloud of dread had fallen over the small camp of refugees over the past few days simply because of what the other mentioned. There was this absolute … eerie silence.
“Hm.” He absently said, as jack walked the ramparts of the camps guard walls. “Don’t light that, you’ll give away our routine. If you need to light that go inside and hide it behind your hand.” The ‘bushwack’ omnics still had to be out there, shouldn’t they? Why would they just turn tail and run?
“While you do that, grab me a cigar from the box inside. I could go for one now …”
“I don’t smoke on patrol, Top.” She reaches into her backpack, fishing around in the infinite depths for one of the stogies she’d... ah, rightfully requisitioned from the ad-hoc commissary set up inside. “Need my wits about me. More of an oral fixation, don’t mind me.”
Purchase found, she pulled the cigar free and tossed it to her ‘commanding officer’. Despite the lack of delight she had for rigidity and structure, something about this incarnation- this attempt at putting Zelda into a clearly defined box wasn’t as bad... or something, whatever. The stagnancy was affecting her adversely.
Tumblr media
“If you’re gonna light that, you oughta do it inside. Give away our schedule, or something.” Snort, despite the lack of comedy inherent. “Or-” Ooh, the inflection on the rise of ‘or’, she was forming something. “What if you lit that outside. Way outside... Omnic territory outside.” Heh,  and thus the expert in battle moves the enemy, and is not moved by him.
