How you holding up 2 weeks since the show has left? I'll always crave for more Starco content. I at the very least I hope some dedicated comic artists stick around but honestly I'm happy that Starco is canon forever. They may as well have been a couple since S1 EP02 but you know what I mean. FULL romantic Starco may have been canon for 4 eps but who cares. No other characters shared the special moments they had. No matter who they were with they always prioritize each other. They always will

Half of the series finale was dedicated to confirming with even more strength than ever that Star and Marco love each other deeply, romantically, platonically, with every kind of love there is, and that they are the core to each other’s happiness and that they know it and act on it. So it’s an incredibly deep “and they lived happily ever after” kind of finale that sears in stone the importance of their friendship and bond as a much bigger container to specifics such as romantic love and physical attraction. We can be sure that they’ll be together as long as they live and this has been built up to in an organic way that’s specific to Star and Marco but that has truths about all relationships.

This being said, I’d hug a cactus to even just have Daron tweet one (1) doodle of Star and Marco kissing calling it “canon picture from their first date ;)” or something like that, let alone a book or full length comic allowing us to see them once again (albeit without voice acting, which is a pity since that, alone, made half of their personalities).

(so I’m holding up quite well, since the finale fully satisfied what I wanted as far as Star and Marco and the almost all the other characters go, qualitatively, but quantitatively I always want more. Always.)

GET READY FOR STARCO WEEK 5!!!!!

Its been a little while since a Starco Week has been held, and today I decided to hold one in honor of the series finale of Star VS. It’s been a wild ride, and it’s sad to see the show go but everything ends eventually. Anyways, this Starco Week will be from May 27th - June 2nd. It will be held AFTER the show ends, just so that everyone has more time to prepare. You, the people, will be deciding what prompts we decide to use for that week. Starting today until May 5th, send in what prompts you’d like to see or make for that very special week! 

May 6th - May 12th will be the voting portion where you guys will vote on which six suggested prompts you’d like to see be used. And finally, from May 13th - May 26th will be the two weeks of prep work in getting your art or fanfics based on the prompts ready for the big event. We can’t wait to see what you guys come up with! :)

I kinda wanna cling to the hope that there might actually be a rational reason plot wise behind Peridot’s proportions fluctuating so much, but I’m probably just deluding myself… I’d be really happy if her head/torso/thighs were depicted with the same proportions they had before, sob. Oh, and I know there are already dozens of posts about it, but I had wanted to make a comparison chart ever since last year and just as I was about to make it, everyone started sharing their own :’) I still wanted to post something about the topic, so… uh. How to, step-by-step, make expressions mean different things by changing just one facial feature at a time. *shrug* I’m not very good at explaining how I do expressions, I just…feel out what kinds of muscles seem to fit and tweak those. And sometimes, ever so slightly, little adjustments could mean the difference between fury and euphoria.

step one: grow up with an ingrown life: perpetually afraid to communicate.  instead of socializing normally, learning how to flirt, having sex or even figuring out how to be a good person, supplant your puberty and metastasize your fears of dying alone, unrecognized, unloved and impoverished into motivation to practice a discipline that you (erroneously) believe can give you “happiness” and “success.”  in my case: drawing

step two:  watch your only life and youth dissolve as your habits take root and irreparably alter your beliefs, lifestyle, neurochemistry and goals.  basically, spend way too much time on the internet and/or masturbating.  now you know the hottest art, memes, and black jokes to regurgitate

step three: leech off of their work/popularity until you have enough eyes on your work to give you the validation needed to fill the hole in your soul

TL;DR:  don’t try to be like me.  try to be better
