Thailand Tourism –some myths you should ignore
‘The land of smiles’, Thailand is often one of the first international destinations on the list of a first-time foreign traveller. Most tourists, who arrive in Thailand with their big bags, also arrive with many misconceptions.  Thailand’s free spirit has earned it the moniker of being the ‘Disneyland for adults’. But this is just one of the many misconceptions about this wonderful city. Here are some myths you should ignore before you embark on your Thailand tour.
Thailand is dirt cheap: Sorry if this bursts your bubble, but the Thailand of the 90’s where you could spend only a few Thai Bahts on a luxurious hotel is long gone. If you want cheap options you have to compromise on the quality. Most tourists plan Thailand packages on an unreasonable budget and are stumped when prices are high and the budget goes awry.
Everyone is interested in scamming you: Because you land in Thailand with the preconceived notion that Thailand is cheap, you start believing that scamming is the national past-time. We’re not saying that you won’t meet scam artists, but if you visit the major tourist zones in Thailand, you’ll find the people to be warm and welcoming. They will even guide you on how and what to spend on.
Thailand is not kid-friendly: Most adults, who book Thailand tour packages, exclude their kids out of it, whereas is reality, Thailand is a great place for fantastic family adventures. The country is home to exciting amusement parks, water parks, zoos and museums, making it so much more than your average adult destination.
Thailand is not safe for solo travellers: This is yet another myth that needs to be busted, for Thailand is perfect for solo adventures. It is a friendly country where you can get around easily. English is widely spoken, people are helpful and friendly and they’ll guide you when you’re confused. If you are sceptical (revisiting the idea of scam-artistes), you can always take multiple opinions about prices and safety measures, while staying alert.
You must spend a lot of money on tips: One of the things to be well versed with on your trip to Thailand is the tipping culture of the country. Fortunately for you, Thailand does not have a strong tipping culture. You need not tip your taxi drivers, restaurant servers or even your hotel bell-boy. Tipping in Thailand is more about gratitude than obligation and no one will be offended if you don’t.

5 Things to know before travelling to Dubai
Rapidly evolving as one of the world’s most loved tourist destinations, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates is a city with a unique personality, where modern marvels share the same land-space with old-world buildings. A city of the future, Dubai spoils its tourists with the best experiences. Here are five things you should know before planning a Dubai tour.
There’s more to Dubai than skyscrapers: At first sight, tourists get enamoured by the sky-kissing, towering skyscrapers, but lest you forget that this UAE city boasts a rich history and culture. Ditch the malls, and shop at the souks where you can buy fantastic trinkets and treasures. In fact, no ATM dispensing gold bars quite holds a candle to the spice and gold souks in the city.
It’s always sunny in Dubai: Don’t wait to learn about Dubai’s only temperature –hot; before you plan your Dubai trip. Dubai’s desert climate remains constant throughout the year, save for a few rainy days, which, also continue to remain hot. While you may be tempted to wear your shortest clothes, keep in mind that you must respect the customs and etiquettes of the country. Dubai is the perfect place to flaunt your decent summer dresses.
Avoid public displays of affection: Not only is PDA frowned upon in Dubai, but it could also invite the wrath of the locals. Acts of PDA are considered indecent and disrespectful towards the local culture. You could be arrested for PDA, thrown in jail, and stripped off your passport for offending Dubai’s culture. So even if you’ve booked your Dubai tour package with your spouse, remember it is not ideal for a romantic vacation.
Don’t get confused about weekends: Often while framing your itineraries, you prefer to avoid popular tourist spots on weekends, mainly because you can face a huge crowd. Remember that since Friday is a holy day (the day of Jumma) according to Islam, Fridays and Saturdays are Dubai’s official weekend days. Sunday is the first day of the working week, so you could plan local tours on Sunday without any hassles.
Avoid visiting Dubai during Ramadan: You won’t be able to make the most of your Dubai tour packages during the holy month of Ramadan. To afford respect to the fasting locals, most restaurants are closed during the day. Dubai’s nightlife is also toned down during this time. However, if you prefer lesser crowds, Ramadan is the perfect time to visit this city, but make sure you read up about the dos and don’ts during this holy month.

7 reasons why Goa is India’s favourite holiday destination
Beaches, night clubs and sea-food; what’s not to love about Goa. India’s favourite holiday destination, Goa is the ideal place to escape to, when you want to break away from the mundane, daily life. The city never ceases to amuse and surprise its visitors. Goa tour packages do not need fixed itineraries; you can just go with the flow. Here are 6 reasons why everyone loves Goa.
Water sports: Where else in India can you enjoy water sports with your gang, like you can in Goa. Be it para-sailing, jet-skiing, speed-boating or riding banana-boats; Goa is the perfect place where you explore the water-baby in you.
Beaches: Choose from popular beaches in North Goa like Calangute, Baga and Anjuna to the quaint, clean and quiet beaches in South Goa like Betalbatim, Arossim, and Cavelossim. Goa has innumerable beaches each more mesmerising than the other. In fact you can plan your Goa trip, spending 3 fun-filled days in North Goa and two quiet ones in the South.
Party places and casinos: No city in India, throws a party like Goa does. The city is crawling with night clubs on every nook and corner. Party animals come out from hiding in North Goa as they dress up in their evening bests to visit Tito’s, Mambo’s, Club Cubana and several other happening spots. Goa is also home to some of the best casinos where you can legally gamble in India.
Goan bike rides: Goa is best explored on a bike. The narrow lanes within the city and the broad highway lanes, as you ride for a couple hours from the north to the south, making pit-stops at every beach in between; make your Goa holidays memorable. Plus, you can explore the city at your pace.
Churches: Your Goa holiday packages should certainly include visits to some of the best churches in India. Goa’s exquisite churches are packed with great legends too. Whether it is the Bom Jesus Bascilica, The Church of St. Francis of Assissi, or the Church of Our Lady of Miracles, each one boasts of great mystical tales and exquisitely designed alters.
Candle Light dinners:
With a little assistance from the stars in the skies, you can have the perfect candle-lit dinner by the beach with your better half, almost everywhere in Goa. Go restaurant hopping and walk hand-in-hand with your partner after a scrumptious sea-food dinner and delicious desserts.

5 reasons why Nubra Valley should be a part of your Leh-Ladakh trip
Look around on any travel-site these days and check for Leh-Ladakh travel packages. Almost all of them will mention at least one night’s stay in Nubra. What makes this remote valley far up in the northern reaches of the country so special? Why are travel agents so keen on including this area in their Leh-Ladakh tour packages?
1.      World’s highest motorable road
Until 2017, The Border Road Organization claimed the road leading from Leh to Nubra as the highest motorable road, at 5602 m. This claim has however, been disputed several times, and the BRO now claims the pass at Umlingla to be the World’s Highest Pass. But don’t let that deter you from enjoying the journey. Without a doubt, your Leh-Ladakh tour will be left incomplete without leaving your tracks on this road.
2.      The Valley of Flowers
Nubra is a high altitude cold desert. There are no disputes about it. However, local scholars say that the place’s original name was Ldumra, which translates to “Valley of Flowers”. And while there is scant vegetation over most of the area, the villages are very fertile and well irrigated; wheat, barley, mustard, peas and a variety of fruits and nuts are the main crops.
3.      Diskit Monstery
On the banks of the Shyok river, lies the town of Diskit, the commercial hub of the region. However, the more striking feature of this town is the majestic Diskit Monastery, located high above the town. Built in 1420 AD, this is the oldest and the largest monastery in the Nubra valley, and its location lends a dramatic air to the scenery.
4.      Hunder Village
A few kms away from Diskit lies the village of Hunder. Do not be fooled by the term ‘village’. While you may see sand dunes, Bactrian camels and sea buckthorn shrubs all around the foot of the mountains, ruins of the king’s palace from the old Nubra kingdom, as well as the Chamba Gompa (or monastery) also adorn the landscape.
5.      Culture Warp
Beyond Hunder, a new stretch opened for tourists, leads to the village of Turtok, closer to Pakistan. Thanks to the well-made road, this trip takes just a day, and is a must for people interested in understanding different cultures. While the people in the Nubra valley, particularly, Diskit, are mainly Buddhist and speakers of the Nubra skat dialect, a trip to Turtok reveals an overwhelmingly Muslim culture in the area, along with the presence of the Balti language.
So, if you are planning to book a trip to this awe-inspiring place up North, then do consider including a visit to Nubra Valley in your Leh-Ladakh package tour.

Travelling to Dubai? Here are the Broken-down Common Misconceptions!
One of the most commercial cities in the world Dubai is home to a number of world records – from the tallest building in the world to the busiest airport on the planet. It is a city way ahead of its time! Unfortunately though, there are quite a few misconceptions about the city that have been generated by the media – that it is still backward, has no culture, etc. Here are some misconceptions about the city that you need to let go of and plan your trip to Dubai at the earliest!
1.      Culturally Diverse
As opposed to popular belief, Dubai is more than just malls and skyscrapers. One can catch a show at the Dubai Opera, and visit the Etihad and Dubai Museums for quick history lessons. The city is known for its cultural heritage which is a blend between Bedouin, Aram and Islamic traditions.
2.      (Not) A Dry State of Affairs
A popular reason why people don’t plan Dubai trips is because of the misconception that there is no alcohol available. In reality, most bars that that are licensed serve alcohol and even have happy hours! Taking it a step further, most places have Ladies Night every Tuesday, which allow women to get free drinks!
3.      Trade and Transport Hub
Previously known as the land of oil, Dubai has made a space for itself in trade, commerce, travel, finance and even tourism. It is such a forward land, that one of its most exciting and upcoming projects is the Hyperloop One, which will be the world first supersonic transport system which will take a maximum of 12 minutes to connect Dubai to Abu Dhabi! Dubai travel is definitely upgrading.
4.      Safety First
Known for the religious unrest, there is a misconstrued notion that the place might not be very safe. As per the World Economic Forum, UAE is the second country in the world, and street crime is extremely rare. Women travel via the subway and even in taxis late at night. The biggest dangers in this city, seem to be reckless driving and crossing the street without looking!
5.      (No) Dress Code!
Contrary to what has been portrayed in feature films and shows, women are allowed to dress as they please, so this factor should be the least of your concerns when planning a trip to Dubai. Women don’t need to keep their hair and heads covered at all times, can wear shorts, dresses and t-shirts and are even allowed to wear bikinis by the pool and beach! Only in the malls, mosques and souks, are women expected to dress modestly by covering shoulders and knees, out of respect.

The Alternative Goa: Offbeat, Unusual and Spooky
Sun, sandy beaches and the sea. That’s what we always think of whenever somebody mentions Goa. And churches. And maybe even the cuisine, for those of us who really love food. But even with all this, is your Goa tour really complete?
Consider Old Goa. While it is chock full of churches, it also has some beautiful ruins left over from the days of the Portuguese rule. Consider the history. And consider the silence amongst these ruins, and the forests all around. There is something beautiful about the silence.
For a lot of people, Goa is not just about the beaches and the crowds that come with it, but the peace you get in so many of the lesser known locations. Here are some quiet, beautiful places you can add to your Goa tour packages to really round off a wonderful trip. Some are quiet, some are spooky, and some are just plain, eerie.
1.      Devil’s Canyon
This is a beautiful place where all you will hear is constant gurgling of water. According to Goan folklore, a demon used to guard this canyon, but a human continuously fooled him and stole fishes from the waters of the canyon. Enraged, the demon cursed the place. Locals believe this is why people who try to swim here often drown. Of course, strong water currents have nothing to do with that…
2.      Bubbling Lake, Netravali
There is nothing spooky or weird about this place. It is simply quiet. But if you clap close to the water, you will see bubbles emerging. This is nature is at work here, as the trapped methane gas at the bottom of the lake gets agitated every time you clap like that. And if you feel the need for a free pedicure, then just rest your feet in the waters of the lake, and the fishes will take care of you.
3.      Chorla Ghats
Here is a twist for your sun and sand filled Goa trip. This place is misty and lush green forest filled. If you are lucky, you may even spot a Nilgiri Tahr, or even an Indian Leopard.
4.      Harvolem Waterfalls
If you like waterfalls, but do not want the mainstream hustle and bustle around Dudhsagar falls, then try this place. The Harvolem waterfalls are quiet and perfect for someone seeking solitude. There is a temple nearby and some nice rock-cut caves in case you want any additional sights.
5.      Goan Caves
Yes, its true. Goa has some very surreal and exquisite caves. The Arvalem caves are very popular amongst tourists, as “the Pandava Caves”, as well the Rivona caves. You can also visit the Lamgau caves, which are made of decompose laterites.
6.      Three Kings Church
Located in Casualim village, this is the most popular haunted place in Goa. But don’t let that put you off from checking out the beautiful location. The story goes that three kings once ruled this land. One of them invited the other two for dinner and poisoned them in order to be the sole ruler. However, his own people rebelled against him for this foul deed, so he committed suicide by consuming the same poison he used on others.
7.      The ruins of Cabo de Rama
Everybody from the Hindus, to the Mughals, to the Portuguese have battered and conquered this structure which is known to be Goa’s oldest fort. You can find the barracks and churches that Portuguese built here after their conquest in 1700. While not very well known among tourists, you can get some breathtaking views of the sea from all corners of the fort.
There you have it, offbeat, as well as unusual places and experiences for you to make your own ultimate Goa holiday packages and never get bored of the place.

A roundup of the must-visit places for the next trip to Thailand
A balance between nature and the concrete jungle, Thailand is the perfect getaway spot. From the green forests and calm blue waters to lively markets and white sandy beaches, there are range of spaces that make Thailand the perfect tourist spot. From leisure to adventure, a trip to Thailand entails fun and frolic for the calm ones who wish to sip a margarita on the beach, as well as the adrenaline lovers who prefer to bungee jump from the highest mountain or go parasailing over the lush waves.
Here is a compilation of the must-visit places, when in Thailand
1.      Phang Nga Bay
One of the most scenic places, this is one for ocean lovers and needs to be at the top of the list for every Thailand trip. The emerald-green waters call for deep ocean dives, kayaking and other sports. And for those who don’t want to stop learning, there are limestone caves aquatic grottoes, and clastic rock ceilings that can be explored. The bay is also very close to the Khao Phing Kan, also known as the James Bond Island, where a part of quite a few Bond movies were filmed!
2.      The Grand Palace
Located in Bangkok, a trip to Thailand is incomplete without a visit to this grand place. Going to Thailand and not visiting the Grand Palace, is almost as bad as not visiting the Taj when in Agra! With a picturesque setting, grand lush green lawns and courtyards, it is the perfect place for those stunning profile pictures and selfies. When in the area, the temple of the Emerald Buddha should not be missed either.
3.      Sukhothai Historical Park
One of the most fascinating world heritage sites, this place comprises of the ruins of the Sukhothai Kingdom of the 13th and 14th centuries. History and architecture buffs should not give this place a miss, as it includes 26 temples, palaces, lakes and interesting statues that school tourists on the culture that flourished during the kingdom’s boom.
4.      The Floating Market
A truly vibrant space this place exudes utter confusion but is a must visit for tourists. The colourful ambience sets the mood for shoppers who can purchase anything from fruits and flowers to floral shirts and even straw hats! The boat taxi is the only way to wade through the narrow canaled market where nothing should be purchased without haggling with the salespeople!
5.      Ko Phi Phi
From tranquil waters and white sandy beaches to the colourful marine life under the water, this place is a must on the
Thailand tour
. The main reason people visit is, of course, the lively nightlife at one of the many beach shacks where alcohol and finger food is ever-flowing!

Masada and The Dead Sea
The Dead Sea is famous as the sea where you will never sink, but always float; magic of highly saline water. And there is no doubt that despite the joy of floating, the mere sight of the sea, especially when experienced from the Ein Bokek beach, is enough to make anyone happy. There is, however, one more place nearby that cannot be discounted from a trip to Israel. 16.6 km away from Ein Bokek is a site of historical significance and awe-inspiring beauty: Masada, one of Israel’s most popular tourist attractions, and a historically important location.
Travel agents consider their Israel tour packages incomplete without a trip to Masada. And here is why:
1.      Location
This ancient fortress is located above an isolated plateau, 490m above the Dead Sea and it overlooks the Sea, 20 km East of Arad. The plateau’s width is 550m by 270m.
2.      Herod’s Legacy
King Herod, perceived as a villain in the New Testament despite the honorific Herod The Great, built this impressive fortress in the Eastern end of the Judean Desert between 37 and 31 BC. The ruins of the fortress remain and are open to the public for viewing.
3.      The First Jewish-Roman War
This is also the site where legions of Roman Troops laid an impressive siege at the end of the first Jewish-Roman war. In order to prevent the Romans from taking any prisoners, 960 villagers committed suicide. In fact, if you look down in any direction, you may be able to spot any one of the 8 Roman Army camps and their siege wall. Wars have shaped countries and defined their destinies. As such, an Israel trip is no exception when it comes to history lessons of this kind.
4.      The Two Paths
There are two pathways which lead up to the top of the plateau. The Roman Siege Ramp on the Western side tells the story of a war, while the Snake Path on the Eastern side is a long, winding walk for those who enjoy natural beauty.
5.      The Masada Museum
The museum is a testament to the awe-inspiring history associated with the region, displaying 500 artefacts unearthed here, that tell the story of this ancient location. Further, there are presentations on important personalities such as Herod, Josephus Flavius and Eliezer ben Yair, in 8 different languages.
6.      The Sunrise Walk
If you love watching a beautiful sunrise, then you can round off your Israel trip with the Sunrise Walk. The walk on the twisting and turning Snake Path takes 45-60 minutes and accessible in the early morning hours. Tourists are advised to show up at least an hour before the Sunrise, to take full advantage of this experience.
7.      Accessibility for Tourists
While there are two paths available for tourists to walk up to the top, you can also get there by cable car. Further, drinking water is available, so you can always bring your water bottle along for refills.
And there it is. The perfect way to cap your Israel trip: ancient, beautiful, and inspirational Masada.

Tirthan Valley
There is a beautiful land, full of hills, trees, clouds and dreams, East of Punjab and North-East of Haryana: Himachal Pradesh. You cannot help but feel relaxed and uplifted right from the moment you enter this beautiful state. While some people do complain of the major spots being overrun by too many tourists, a lot of Himachal Pradesh tour packages these days are tailor-made for those with a more adventurous spirit. In fact, you don’t even have to be an adventurous person to enjoy these tour packages. You could just be someone looking for a bit of peace, and yearning to be closer to nature.
Tirthan Valley is one such place that you can include in your Himachal Pradesh tour. Located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, the valley derives its name from the Tirthan river which originates from the cold glaciers of Hanskund, a snow-capped peak in the Great Himalayan National Park.
Here is why Tirthan Valley should be a part of your trip to Himachal Pradesh:
1.      The Scenery
The Tirthan river originates from a cold glacier in the GHNP, but it flows through some beautiful forests. There are lush green farms, apple orchards and mountains with clouds hovering closely above. This beautiful, open landscape will melt your heart.
2.      The Villages
While walking through the forests and the scenic mountain routes, you can easily find yourself in one of the villages nearby. Among the many villages that the river Tirthan snakes through, Gushaini and Nagini are certainly picturesque.
3.      Serolsar Lake
With pine trees all around, and a small temple, for the Goddess Buddhi Nagin, of Himachal folklore, this lake is a beautiful spot for you to just sit and watch the waters shimmer. In case you were wondering, Buddhi Nagini is said to be the mother of 60 Nag Devtas who protect the land.
4.      Parashar Lake
This lake and its surroundings look like something out of a Game of Thrones episode, shot up in the North. However, there are no ice demons here. Just peace and quiet. In fact, there is a three-storey temple on the shores of the lake, built by King Bansen in the 14th century, and dedicated to Rishi Parashar.
5.      Chehni Kothi
There is a 1500-yr-old castle, the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Himalayan region, made of wood beams and stone. This is Chehni Kothi, once the home of King of Kullu.
6.      Waterfalls
This is what made you plan this Himachal Pradesh trip: stumbling onto a hidden treasure trove of natural beauty. On the same walking trail, at a distance of one hour, there are two waterfalls which are relatively unknown to the majority of the tourists. Just the sight of these waterfalls will bring you serenity.
7.      Trout Fishing
Trout fishing is a very popular activity on the banks of the Tirthan river. If you want, you can always hire a fishing guide to help you find the right spots to fish, or even get lessons if you don’t know how to fish but want to give it a try.

Importance of Travel Packages and Pre-planned holidays
When it comes to taking vacations, there are a number of factors that come into play – apart from getting leaves, of course! This includes weather, food, accommodation, visa, transport, and many other things need to be considered. Keeping this in mind, a number of companies have devised travel packages that cater to every need, keeping in mind the smallest details to help avoid the slightest inconvenience during travelling. Still not convinced? Here are some of the main reasons why you should consider opting for package tours when planning your next holiday.
1.      Safety
When travelling to a foreign space whether in the same country or abroad, safety is a major concern as there is usually are massive barriers in terms of language, culture, etc. Holiday packages are crafted by authentic travel companies that are experienced, and hence guarantee that you travel safe and are not misguided.
2.      Choice of Location
When opting for package tours, companies usually craft itineraries for travellers to choose from, rather than forcing their decision on travellers. The suggestions are tailor-made and can be modified as per the convenience of each traveler.
3.      Save Money
With each travel agency planning different holiday packages, it is easy to compare and negotiate according to your budget, from the multiple options available.
4.      Save Time
Post comparing and negotiating, opting for travel packages by a particular agent will help save abundant time as one will not need to debate about whom to contact or how to plan the entire trip. It is already pre-planned with everything ready to go!
5.      Networking and Socializing
Whether it is solo, with family or friends, holidays are more fun when experiences are shared with like-minded people. Since you will be travelling to the same places together, you can end up making new connections and friends who will end up making the vacation more memorable, fun, and maybe plan future trips together!
Avoid last-minute travel, plan in advance and make the ideas turn into reality!

4 simple reasons to consider travel packages
“We’re going on a vacation”. These five words can make anyone happy. After all, who doesn’t love a vacation? But, there’s much to do, like finalizing a destination, a budget, an itinerary, the visa process and much more. You must decide whether you want to render the services of a travel company or go on an independent trip. The advantage of booking your trip with established travel companies are manifold. Here are 4 reasons why you should consider opting for tour packages for that perfect holiday.
Tour guides give you a taste of local culture: Most tour guides know the city you’re travelling to, like the back of their hand. They’re like that professor who has an answer for everything. They’ll recommend the best watering holes and the finest places to shop. Some will even sweet-talk the operator at local sight-seeing sites to give you discounted entry tickets. Plus they’re well versed with the history of a place and can render you a great local experience.
You can make new friends instantly: Tour and travels guides provide you with an environment in which you can make new friends instantly. They’ll help you break the ice with your fellow travellers and have some handy games up their sleeves so that you don’t feel uncomfortable with the other “strangers” on board the same trip. Instead of filling your cameras with selfies, you could find some-one to click your photographs, and perhaps return the favour.
You can be more relaxed: When you’re travelling independently, you’re usually on a high alert. Your eyes are on the sign-boards of the roads, not the stunning local landscape. You have to find the help of a translator if you’re in a city/country where you don’t speak the local language. Your holiday packages come with the services of an expert guide who can help you navigate through these unchartered waters and make you comfortable while you take a chance at new experiences.
Tour packages are safe and economic:
Travelling in groups helps you save a lot of money thanks to the bulk rates that operators get. You save so much more on excursion costs and entry tickets to various places because the amounts are divided within the group. Furthermore, you travel in a pack, which is safe, thus avoiding the beady-eye of scammers and thieves and your tour guide can brief about the dos and don’ts for your safety.

6 of Hong Kong’s best-kept secrets that you must discover
All popular tourist destinations have one thing in common; famous tourist sights, sprawling malls, and glitzy neon signs which divert your attention away from the unique side of the city. This is so true of Hong Kong. Hong Kong tour packages can be made interesting if you swap conventional sites for unique experiences. Here are Hong Kong’s 6 best kept secrets, waiting for be discovered.
The vintage cameras street: Hong Kong is a treasure trove for camera lovers. You can find vintage cameras at a shop cum pawn store called Sham Shui Po store in Kowloon, which has been selling analogue and film cameras since the early 1970s. Lay your hands on vintage lens and photography accessories found no-where else in the world.
Participate in an immersive film screening experience: The Mexican consulate of Hong Kong screens some of the latest and best contemporary Mexican films every last Thursday night of the month which you can enjoy for free. You don’t have to pay for popcorn either. This is quite literally the most unconventional thing you can do on your Hong Kong tour package.
Visit the antique tin-toys store: The child in you will be delighted as you glace through wind-up alarm clocks, silver robots, spinning gymnasts and racing cars on your visit to Chung King Yong Yau, a small Wan Chai store in Hong Kong. The store is filled with several antique tin toys made in the 1950s and 60s in Shanghai.
See the Chinese White Dolphins: Home to the Chinese white dolphins, Tai O is a fishing village and the place to go to, to catch a glimpse of an elegant and endangered creature not found anywhere else in the world. Make sure you include this in your Hong Kong package.

Regarded as Asia’s best urban hiking trail, the Dragon’s Back allows mountaineers to admire the scintillating natural scenes of Shek O, Stanley, Tai Long Wan, Tai Tam and the South China Sea. You can also paraglide and fly kites here.
Learn intriguing legends of pirates: Remember “The Pirates of the Carribean: At World’s End” film? The character of Sao Feng in the film is inspired by a notorious pirate called Cheung Po Tsai who lived in the Cheung Po Tsai Cave on Lamma Island. This Qing Dynasty pirate owned over 600 ships, leading more than fifty-thousand pirates. Hear his tales and learn how he earned the title of ‘the oriental Robin Hood’.

5 unusual experiences you should have on your Bali trip
An exotic island, a honeymooner’s paradise and the isle of intriguing surprises; the ‘Land of the Gods’, Bali is a tiny Indonesian island country that packs a massive punch. Despite being relatively small, there is no dearth of things to do in this wonderful country. Bali is a country you can’t have enough of. Bali tour packages are riddled with exciting, surprising and offbeat activities. Here are 5 unusual experiences you should have on your Bali trip.
Visit a traditional healer: Many tourists were averse to the magic of Balinese traditional healers, until the film ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ popularized it. But Balinese locals have been visiting these traditional healers for centuries. Spend a day or two in Bali’s Ubud area to visit these experienced healers, locally known as Balians, who offers spiritual and physical health consultations.
Join a Balinese cooking class: Just like Indian cuisine, Balinese delicacies are loaded with herbs and spices. But Balinese cuisine has its own personality and is especially recommended for foodies who like to try something new in the kitchen every day.  You can sign up for week-long cooking classes with your Bali holiday packages and spend an hour of every day of your trip learning authentic recipes and feasting on Balinese delicacies.
Make your own perfume: If you’ve always wondered what your signature scent should be, visit L’Atelier Parfums et Créations and find out. All you have to do is collect your own basic ingredients, after which you are taught to develop your own aromatic scent. Once the ingredients are processed, you can take your creation home. Besides you can order more bottles of your perfume from the website after you are home… you just have to remember your ingredients and place an order on-line.
Laugh your way to health with laughing yoga: Bali packages are filled with visits to magnificent temples and stunning beaches. But the country is best known for its spiritual aura and its love for all things relaxing and meditative. Bali is filled with many different concept yoga studios and the most interesting of these is the laughing yoga session. An otherwise boring form of exercise like yoga is made entertaining as you giggle, laugh and heal.
Go for a swim with the sharks: Swimming with turtles and dolphins is so passé, for in Bali, you can actually swim with sharks. Head to the popular Bali Sharks Nursery, a place dedicated to saving baby sharks from illegal poaching and accidental entanglement in fishing-nets. You can swim with black and white tip reef baby sharks in this South Denpasar location and earn bragging rights.

5 offbeat experiences for your Nepal trip
India’s neighbouring country Nepal is a land of intriguing legends. It has fascinated travellers across the globe for eons and is best known as the home of the Himalayas and the land where Lord Buddha was born.  But when you plan your Nepal tour packages, make sure you include some off-beat places to visit and things to do, for an authentic travel experience. You’ll find that on your trip to Nepal you can develop a deep relationship with the country’s landscape, and rekindle your own adventurous spirit like never before.
Travel to Khumjung to see a real-life yeti skull: When you travel to Scotland, you travel to the highlands to say hello to the Lochness Monster and on your Nepal trip, you must travel a few hundred kilometres from Kathmandu to Khumjung and see the Khumjung Monastery. Filled with intriguing local legends, Khumjung Monastery is known as the home of the skull of yeti; an ape-like creature who is said to have lived in the Himalayas eons ago.
Paraglide over Pokara: Pokhara is a peaceful valley where you can relax, de-stress and enjoy an immersive local experience and the best way to do so is to paraglide over this city. See the luscious green farmlands and the serene turquoise waters of the Phewa Lake and get a view of the Annapurna Himalayas while you fly like a bird over this valley.
Take a local-mountain bus ride: There is quite literally no experience more authentic than travelling in the company of the locals. One of the finest ways to enjoy your Nepal tourism package is to mingle with the locals is on a bus-ride that goes into the mountains. You’ll find yourself both exhilarated and terrified as the wind gushes by. It may just be a bus-ride, but the mountainous terrain ensures it is adrenaline-inducing.
Explore your gutsy side by Bungee jumping: If you’re an adventurer, you’re going to be drawn to bungee jumping from Asia’s highest bungee-jumping point, located in Nepal. There is only one company in the country, called ‘The Last Resort’ that organizes this feat of dare-devilry. Suspended more than 160 kilometres above the ground, the bridge passes over a chill-inducing tropical gorge, giving you an exhilarating view of the Bhote Kosi River.
Enjoy a bike ride to the Tibetan border: While Nepal is place where you can enjoy several interesting roads and terrains; nothing beats the awe-inspiring ride from Kathmandu to the Tibetan Border in Grirong/Kyirong. Your Nepal tour is elevated as you pass by one undulating mountain to the other and get soaked in the sensational changing landscapes of the country.
