My current Twitter timeline is an absolute nightmare, overrun by Japanese artists playing around with Gen AI.

Lately, I’ve been seriously considering making Tumblr the only place where I post my art and fics.

At first glance, the Japanese fandom seems very peaceful, but in truth, there’s something fundamentally missing.

Then again, maybe that’s just Japan in a nutshell.

In 2024, work got really busy for me, especially in the latter half (and it’s not slowing down anytime soon...), so I wasn’t able to draw much fanart. I’ve also been wanting to continue my fanfic, but...🤕

This year, my goal is to shape what I can create within the limits of my time and energy, and I hope to make the most of it.

It’s been a while since I’ve written anything here—I’ve been busy with work and struggling with my fanart style. (Plus, I got totally sucked into the rabbit hole of “Mouthwashing”...😇)

I feel like I’ve lost my touch both on Tumblr and with writing in English, so I thought I’d post something to ease back into it, even if it’s just a little.

I’m hoping to draw something during the winter break. There’s a style I really want to experiment with, but I’m not sure how it’ll turn out.

Oh, and I have a few doodles I drew during that time, so I’m posting them here too😅

I've been thinking of leaving one social network for a while now, as keeping a group there has become impossible. Vk is hellishly awful for artists, especially those just starting out, to promote their work you have to do a tambourine dance and you get sick of the constant idiotic ad wars. That's not why I go to social media. It's creepy. They have so reduced the opportunities for artists (many) that it's depressing. So fuck it. In fact, these are not all the reasons. There are many, MANY. But if I started, I'd write a whole page about it. Whatever, now I'm more relaxed and less stressed out. Here's a little process for you, my good ones! 🌚🌝
