Protecting the king is really a rather tiring job. Perhaps I shall go and rest, and pray.

"Thank you, my lord. I do suppose I am. And yourself?"
"What a wonderful day in King’s Landing. I hope the weather remains as sunny as it is."

I'm glad you seem to get along with the King. I don't suppose it's my dislike of the place, I mean, King's Landing seems an intriguing place--I think it's more a missing of someone who's not here.
It’s been as well as I expected, but I’m glad you’re enjoying it. How are you finding the young men of the court? And King Viserys?

Very well, actually. Although I find that I miss the comforts of home.
And you, my dear brother? Have you been enjoying your time here?

Loras stood at the doors to the throneroom of the Red Keep, hand on the ornate pommel of his sword as he watched the corridors in a subdued silence. The golden eyes looked up and down the walls of red brick ahead of him, then down to the floor, and back up again. The boy found his duty rather dull, especially when he was placed outside of the halls and conversations of court, unable to hear what was happening throughout the realm.
Various courtiers and ladies passed him by, nodding their head and occasionally talking to the young knight with a soft smile and the normal comments and social courtesies expected of him as a member of Viserys' kingsguard. Not that he could stand the man, not really, but it was all something he was expected to do.
Where was Renly on this sunny day? Loras let his mind wonder a little bit as he stood at ease. He really rather supposed that his lover was off with the smallcouncil, or perhaps at Storm's End, although he doubted the youngest Baratheon brother was thinking of him.
With a sigh, Loras stood to attention as a dignitary strode by, and eased himself again.

"Indeed so, my lord." Loras bowed his head, and went back to his duty with a sigh.
"Later then, Ser." The Tyrell boy had the potential for a good ally, but Daemon knew he had to win his trust and prove he was not another Viserys.

Loras nodded, and bowed his head. "Then I shall see you in the sparring ring, and soon, my lord, I'm sure of it. I must get back to my duties." The boy didn't want to form any sort of alliance with the Targaryen boy, not if he was anything like the king he had to serve.
"It wouldn’t take long I’m sure, and it would give us a better chance to get acquainted and form a better alliance with our Houses. I’m sure Viserys wouldn’t mind, if we kept it short, you have brothers in the Kingsguard." Daemon wanted to cement alliances, particularly with the younger members of the great Houses.

"I could teach you some of what I know, my lord. Though the master of arms may be more suited, especially with my duties in the kingsguard." Loras looked away from the eye contact.
"Well it’s always good to have a skilled swordsmen nearby, you are quite the sword-fighter I’ve heard" the smallest of smiles crept at the edge of Daemon’s mouth.

The boy smiled a little more at that, a very slight smirk hinted at the edge of his lips. "I'm sure I'm not quite as good as you've told, but I'm rather good in the tourney ring, yes."
"Yes, and you must be a Targaryen." Loras smiled politely, as he had to, brushing something off of the white cloak he wore. “Daemon?"
"That’s me" He smiled back at the Knight of Flowers in his flowing white cloak “I’ve heard many a tale of your prowess in the tourney Ser Loras are you truly as good as I’ve been told?"
