Ok so i'm considering watching ER since i'm obsessed with The Pitt, but i don't really enjoy other med shows like Grey's or Scrubs

Should i still watch it? Or is it very soap opera and not really focused on the medicine part?

the pitt is crazy from a storytelling perspective because usually you sort of focus on one main plot point and it culminates over an arc so you have the time to have a dramatic chekhov's gun moment but this is one day in the ER so shit just keeps happening and gets resolved and happens again in a disjointed rhythm so instead you get chekhov's gun and chekhov's knife and chekhov's pregnancy test and chekhov's rats and chekhov's fourth set of scrubs and you have no idea when any of them are gonna fire.

love that they all look like they’re heading to separate functions. like. singles night on a caribbean cruise, ex’s funeral, dive bar with a mechanical bull, english department end-of-year reception, & the bus stop, respectively.

The strongest theme of The Pitt for me is how nothing is how the public expects it. You think you know how unhoused people look like? No, he can be a fourth year med student doing his best. CSA survivor with a best friend who committed suicide? she's the meanest R1 who is not letting injustice slide and gets so excited about every procedure. The addict and the woman going through a miscarriage are the most competent senior residents you've ever seen. The attending saving the day at the last minute is an amputee.

Noah Wyles and his team really said "Nothing in ER departments is how it's supposed to be from the 12-hour wait times to the lack of blood, but people going through what would be anybody else's worst day are the only thing keeping the american healthcare system together"

Watching the bus kids grow up will forever make me emotional because look at how little they were during season one I’m sobbing

Alya?? And the team not being in the same room but also getting a final chat?? And Deke getting left behind??? Hold me while i fall apart

And Daisy and Sousa getting their happy ending and don't even talk to me about Alya and Fitzsimmons i cannot deal

Also May becoming a teacher fits so well, i love that for her, however i do headcanon her and Coulson finding eachother again, they did not die in Tahiti i will not accept it

And Davis!! And Flint!! Truly such a happy surprise, i squealed so loudly

Yo-Yo being the most decorated agent is so deserved!!!!

Just everything was incredible and SO accurate and truly just the best possible ending
