Theodosia and Eliza as neighbors and Theodosia having a cat that always gets into Eliza’s yard and sometimes even her garage. 

And Eliza secretly loving it because it gives her an excuse to not only coax the cat over to her but also to go over to Theodosia’s has to bring the cat back/tell Theodosia where it is.

And Theodosia is always so embarrassed, thinking that Eliza must be annoyed, and she always invites Eliza in to make her something to eat to make up for it but pretty soon Theodosia is just letting her cat out more and more in the hopes it’ll result in Eliza stopping by.

It turns into a thing where Theodosia starts taking Eliza out whenever her cat escapes into Eliza’s yard/house to repay her for being so patient with the cat and always returning her. It doesn’t take long for Eliza and Theodosia to be going out together every weekend and a few days during the week.

Soon Theodosia is over Eliza’s house more than her cat is.
