Memories of our weekend in Belfort:

Our trip home:
Boarded plane in Basel on Sunday night. When removing stairs from plane, they broke the door and therefore we could not fly. We were told that there was no planes that night and they would check us into a hotel. By the time we got to the front of the queue, it was midnight. We had to rebook our own flights, which we weren’t told until all the morning flights were sold out. The airline, won’t mention but rhymes with peasypet, suggested the next flight of 10:30pm the following day. We checked into the hotel and were told only casino food was available (considering nothing was open in airport when we arrived, we eagerly went for some chips). This was approximately 2am. The hotel was in Switzerland, so we were given francs in change from our euros. We managed to book a flight on a different airline for 9am. This flight went via Dusseldorf and into Heathrow (instead of Gatwick). Managed to get home in London around 3pm. Sorry work!

Mykonos!
Highlights:
- Accommodation cancelled about an hour before arrival due to electrical issues. We booked a place last minute, which turned out to be at what felt like the top of a mountain. Walking up and down every day sure kept up our cardio!
- Jet skiing at Platis Gialos
- “Skandinavian Bar” in Mykonos Town - you could dance on the bar and on platforms
- Club at Paradise Beach - the venue was unbelievable, however, the crowd were LITERALLY 12 years old. When we got sick of babysitting, we went back to Skandinavian Bar
- Super Paradise Beach - the beach turns into a club in the afternoon. The water was crystal clear. While we were there, we had a creepy guy ask to buy us a drink. We refused. About an hour later, the bar tender tricked us by taking us to “her friend” for a drink. Turns out it was the guy. We then spend the next few hours trying to avoid this creep, by literally jumping from couch to couch. The security guards were very protective of us. We saved two young French girls who had just arrived to Mykonos, had nowhere to stay and were going to “sleep on the guys couch”. They stayed on our floor that night.
- Seeing Ed Westwick on the way to the bathroom
- Getting lost in the beauty of Mykonos and the streets. They don’t have street names in order to trick the pirates.
