Happy Feast Day
Feast Day: November 8
Patronage: sick people, loss of parents
Elizabeth of the Trinity, born Élisabeth Catez was a French Carmelite nun and religious writer. Elizabeth entered the Dijon Carmel on August 2, 1901. She said, "I find Him everywhere while doing the wash as well as while praying." Her time in the Carmel had some high times as well as some very low times. Today, we know about all that she felt and experienced in her writings. Elizabeth died at the age of 26 from Addison's disease, which in the early 20th century had no treatment.

Enoch vs the Beast - I don't think have the mental capacity to express my love for that entire set-up right now. I love it about as much as I love the show.
Okay look. Look look look.
Both Enoch and the beast gather “lost souls” to themselves.
The difference is that Pottsfield is a place for the placeless. The intinerant, the vagrant, the homeless, everyone buried in a potter’s field. While the beast is a predator of the lost.
Enoch invites the boys to stay, but does not press them when they reject his offer, stating that they will return someday. His harvest is natural, inevitable. He is a farmer. The beast is a hunter, and a hungry one.
I think that the beast is a shallow mockery of Enoch. I expect he hates him. I don’t think Enoch gives him much thought at all, besides brushing him away like a spider building a cobweb at your doorstep.

I must not watch election coverage. Election coverage is the mind-killer. Election coverage is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will cast my vote. I will permit the result to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the election coverage has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

They caught me singing at my funeral, and dancing to my dirge,
They caught me heckling my eulogy, and joy-riding my hearse.
They caught me spray-painting my tomb stone and teasing the mortician,
They caught me at all sorts of mischief, in grand Christian tradition.
They scolded me, I put my face into my hands to hide
The smiles and the giggles I couldn’t keep inside.
They didn’t want to hear the joke that I had learned so well,
That death has no dominion: my God has rattled hell.
