We found him on the toilet. Barely alive, but still; alive. We did what we could, but we couldn’t get him off of it without killing him. And we can’t do that- we all rely on him for his quirky nature and natural charm. So we left him there, hooked up to machines already in the building that could, with time, pry him off. Taking years, but it was the gentlest way to do it. And we couldn’t stand to seee him in pain, so this is the best way. It’s the best course of action, really. We lie to the higher-ups. We impersonate him, because the phone cord won’t reach into the bathroom. We tell them things are going well, that the experiment results are promising, that his wife is pregnant. We tell them these things, and they never think to investigate. They never come down here, and they will never see him in this state. His family has no idea, either. We locked his bedroom so that they cannot enter, and constantly play voice clips from inside so that they believe he is in a heated voicee chat at all hours. They are very polite and kind people, and would never interrupt him or walk in on him in that state. When the process is over, we’ll lie to him too. Tell him he blacked out after a particularly foul diarrhea dump. He will believe it, as his mind is fragile and his diet foul. And so there he sits, almost melded into the toilet, almost one with the men’s room, but breathing, and alive. There he will sit for years to come, and nobody but us will be the wiser.
