edited! I saw a tumblr say that the other (twinsoul/soulmate) can be an expert manipulator and isolate you (with tactics). I would add that they can do this before even knowing you so that you’re already isolated when they find you. That too can make that connection feel like the best thing on earth, at first.
When your twin is a twinwreck
I joined here to write about this, tumblr seems more reasonable on some topics.
Twinsouls
There’s hardly helpful info to be found using either term, sometimes it’s so embarrassingly bad on ‘twinflames’. I’m going from memory here, it’s been long since I found the word for it, at least I did. The general trend was:
- When you meet your twin, you just know, without even meeting in person. Yes you fucking know, there is nothing else in the world like this bond, not to say it’s benign. I for one am not scared of intensity and I first imagined it’s benign.
- They are often separated geographically. I can’t speak for others but we were, the intensity of the feeling was such that if the meeting was irl, I’d have fainted?
-You can accomplish greater things than were possible even if you don’t get together in an amatonormative sense. But how to explain the online info-pollution by paired twinflames trying to exploit others’ heartbreak? But also yes you can (it’s not them it’s you, you can) because things make sense now.
-An age gap perhaps. And we should be clear on what asteroid aspects there are because such relationships are often transactional or dysfuctional, stemming from an obsession with youth or the desire to groom a partner. I’m not speaking on the astrology here because I want to keep my anonymity.
-There’ll be a runner and a chaser.. Why exactly? How can that be a pattern? Well, let me suggest this, from my experience, and I write this for you potential chaser, to save you time and energy. This is not for those who allegedly are in a great relationship with a twinflame, stfu & keep fleecing people. Not everyone is unlucky enough to have a twinsoul. You are whole whether you do or not; and this will not be your regular inspirational talk, or even inspirational, this may be depressing and you may need to hear this much later, not now. You can check whether what I’m saying applies to your situation, with simple astrology. I learned astrology in depth to better understand mine.
People are not automatically good even if they are your twinsoul, this can become scary. What if it’s not a person or a life lesson that you’re chasing but a lost part of you? And that is not your half or a half of your soul but I’ll use the analogy of a siamese connection through the ether. There will be undeniable telepathy even if you happen to hate each other or one of you is toxic.
You are a whole soul and enough. The theory of one soul may occur from the trauma and the following may be the reason. When you were young and unaware, has your twinsoul been exploiting your energetic connection? For example: I bore my twinsoul’s Saturn returns, squares and Pluto square somehow, when mine was uneventful or a natural growth. But I undeniably had unusual catastrophes exactly around his transits, when I didn’t know he existed nor had I heard the word or concept of twinsoul, nor did I believe in soulmates I think and before that, I was too young to even have thought about romance. When I was young however, I did feel the connection a few times, in a non-heart part of me. So strange that I didn’t know what to think, I thought about aliens once and somehow I told no one. The heart cord got activated after meeting.
The runner, an adult, may have exploited your connection to pass on their hardship. Is the runner immature? Do they seem to be running like a thief? Or looking for any excuse to gaslight you, create an argument or distance? It’s not relationships or whateverships that they are avoiding but they are avoiding any and all real conversation with you, in case you figure this out. A person who hasn’t been through his own transits, repeatedly, may never be able to act mature. I doubt they will talk about it like a mature person. Or they may do more drama instead, inexplicably. I don’t know if it’s advisable to confront them.
If tragedies happened to you at transit intervals, you had trauma or injury, you lost part of your vital force or your loved one died. This was hard and if not part of your burden to carry, you didn’t grow up normally. Then when you meet your twinsoul, you will feel changed, perhaps unrecognisable to others and even to yourself; but this is you and you simply recovered perhaps a small piece you lost in the fire. You know how sometimes you find words for something, a part of you, merely by knowing it exists?
You are strong, yet when you don’t want to be, you don’t have to be.
This is you, it always was. You were a child who has been strong for an adult.
You matter, they don’t necessarily.
If they do, they will have the maturity to admit what happened instead of run. And yes, there are ways to cut the cords or the connection between you. But is that subjective and dependant on how evil they are? I know a medium-type twin who is still connected but in another relationship.
If someone hasn’t been through what I have, they have nothing to teach me. This photo (a Sikkimese woman barefoot, carrying a white man with shoes, a moustache and his colonial hat, as was common) is the closest thing that can illustrate my case. It started when I was a child. Some would look at this photo and see a man being carried by an animal, only so much has changed.
I will dog walk you if you plagiarise me.

THREAD by evaporated water sign @wewantkandy [I maintain that it is about recovering your wholeness that was lost, I need an anon twitter account. sigh] I’m reposting to highlight tweets like: “So if anyone is selling meditations, classes, spells, etc to help you either get into “union” with your TF or to help you meet your TF, you are being SCAMMED. Also don’t take anything that they’re saying seriously. The TF journey is about YOU.” “Union is about finding wholeness within YOU, not an external person. Once you reach the state of wholeness within you won’t need the expressions of your TF, although it’s up to you to keep them in your life.” “It’s not about being someone’s doormats and making excuses for their shitty behavior under the guise of “unconditional love”. “ “Unconditional love does NOT mean unconditional relationship. Nor does accepting abusive behavior mean you are loving unconditionally.”

Neptune Loneliness
Neptune makes us feel something immaterial and out of this world. It’s where we can feel, see, hear, and sense what other people cannot. Our vulnerability also means we are subject to exploitation, our concept of reality is severely interfered with. It can be where we have feelings of exile, loneliness, or secret longings
Neptune in the 1st: Feels lonely in life and separated from the human experience, it may seem like it’s difficult to ever fit in
Neptune in the 2nd: Feels strangely uncomfortable and exiled in places/homes/buildings with unusual or striking vibes, rooms have a mood they can feel and it can be hostile
Neptune in the 3rd: Can feel lonely in a crowd of conversation, may have felt lonely or separated from peers at school or different from siblings
Neptune in the 4th: Can feel disconnected from the feeling of being real and human, everywhere they go can seem like a strange and deja vu place
Neptune in the 5th: Can feel lonely in the pursuit of romance like they are looking for someone or something they don’t know exists, as if they will never be truly loved
Neptune in the 6th: Can feel lonely participating in the daily grind, separate from colleagues and business people, separate from the traffic, the noise, the suits
Neptune in the 7th: Feels exceedingly lonely when single, but feels even more lonely with incompatible partners
Neptune in the 8th: Feel lonely in their unreal conscious experiences where they are exposed to spirits, demons, callings of death and psychic activity
Neptune in the 9th: Feels lonely in their spiritual hunger, as if their urges for redemption and guidance from a higher source could never be understood
Neptune in the 10th: Feels separated and lonely in public spaces, sensing stares and intrigue, like they can never be who people want
Neptune in the 11th: Feels a sense of loneliness within friendship circles, longing for their company but feeling like they don’t truly fit in
Neptune in the 12th: Senses exile from the world as a child, feels lonely in their depth, psychic vulnerability, and the painful traumas of other people they are forced to experience and feel

In honor of #BlackExcellence365, we’ve connected with some incredibly talented artists on Tumblr to hear them out on how the topic of Black identity shines through in their art. First up in our #BlackExcellence365 Artist Spotlight series is Jessica Spence (@jessmyart), a Jamaican-American artist whose portraiture work often speaks to the life of Black women.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you came to be an illustrator. How has Tumblr been a place for you to find your voice?
I studied Fine Arts and Art Education in undergraduate and graduate school. I do not see myself as an illustrator, but rather as a painter. Most of my works are paintings. I began using Tumblr as an online platform to share my work. Tumblr has allowed me to find my voice as an artist by sharing content with other creatives and those who might not be able to access or see the artwork in a gallery setting.
What communities do you identify with both online and IRL?
The communities I identify with both online and in real life are those that reflect my cultural background and common interests. I identify with women of color—namely Black women. I identify with those from the West Indian and Caribbean communities because my parents are Jamaican and raised me in a household that reflected Jamaican culture although I was raised in New York. With that being said, I also identify with those who also grew up in New York and having the ability to meet and connect with people from various backgrounds who live here. Being an artist, I also identify with others who see themselves as artists as well, whether they work in visual arts, education, writing, music, film, or dance.
How did you come up with your featured piece and how might this relate to the broader conversation surrounding the #BlackExcellence365 campaign?
“Sore Arms” is a work within a larger series of paintings that I created to highlight and show the versatility and beauty of Black hairstyles.
Hair is an important aspect of the Black community. We see it in media, advertisements, movies, and even in social media. Can you delve more into the concept of the “Sore Arms” piece and how that correlates to the intersection of hair and Black women?
The title “Sore Arms” reflects the concept of styling your own hair and the struggle of getting soreness from creating a hairstyle that is time-consuming. While the process can take time, the result is beautiful. Beyond the aesthetic appeal of the hair, the work also depicts women embracing these culturally significant styles despite societal beauty ideals.
What have been some challenges for you as an artist?
Some challenges I have faced thus far are at times having to justify to some people why I create art. With the label of being an “artist” I know there will be those who don’t understand its importance, but my passion for it and those who do, keeps me going.
If you’re a Black artist and want to talk about how your art is informed by your identity, let the community know! Upload a photo (or GIF! Or video! Or script!) of your work to your Tumblr and tag it #BlackExcellence365 so everyone can find it.
This interview has been edited and condensed for clarity.
